    Doornail dead.

This place is HUGE. They have a vast selection of plants at pretty good prices. Their peeps seem to be fairly knowledgeable. BUT unless you know about the plants you are buying--like you're a pro or something--I'd shop elsewhere. Last spring, on sort of a whim I bought a very cool plant called a "Blazing Saddles Mangrave" for my backyard. Putting it in a prominent area of my garden, everything was fine and I enjoyed it for the rest of the year. Until winter, the first frost hit and it promptly died like a flopping fish out of water. Mind you, this plant cost me $48 in a 2-gallon container. No warnings about this problem, though every year Albuquerque goes through several frosts. Yes, down at the bottom of my receipt it reads, "No guarantees on plant life." However, nowhere in the tag info and no one on the staff warned me that frost was a problem for this plant. When I called in the off-chance they might help me out with this (I'd be willing to take store credit.) the manager informed me of their policy. I guess I should have asked, but it would have been great if they could have warned me or at least included frost info on the labeling. UPDATE: I was ready to modify this review when Sara, one of the managers here, contacted me with the promise of some help finding a more suitable replacement plant. Last week I drove across town at a time when she said she'd be there. She wasn't. Today I called ahead to make sure she would be available. The staff assured me she was there. I showed up and, after waiting 1/2 hour, she was still a no-show. Annoying.

We seen this place hundreds of time as we drove down the highway. Today was the day we stopped. We had seen some tree roses earlier and liked them because we can keep the dogs away from thorns. They had a wider selection and additionally there were quite a few hybrid trees. So we bought a couple and added some stuff to help with our soil. Since this is a wholesale business - we became members for a one time fee of $25. Our total for roses, soil amendments and the membership was less than the cost for 2 plants at the last place. This is our new go to for plants and gardening supplies.

Great selection of larger trees to choose from! Plus younger, in buckets ready to go home trees as well.

Let me just start off by saying: if you don't have anything nice to say, shatta la beak. It's that easy. I came in today around 25 mins before their closing time. I walked immediately to the veggie section to look for specific plants to complement each other in my raised beds. I was browsing for about 5 mins before the song "closing time" gets turned on loudly over the intercom. Yeah... cool... I get it. Clever you! Thanks for the reminder! Anyhow, this little asshole employee, mid-aged girl comes in acting like the white rabbit from Alice in wonderland singing along to the song and rushing down each aisle letting everyone know they're closing and also trying to speed up her employee by asking if she needs help and if she thinks she can finish it up before closing. I was not bothered at this point. I only needed to locate a few specific plants but unfortunately, the geniuses that run this place, don't have large labels over each section to help you locate items faster. Instead, you have to look at the plant's small individual tag that is stuck in the dirt of each plant. So as the White Rabbit is on her BS in a haste, she goes to the row of plants right behind me and starts singing in the same notes as the song but saying, "I really wish you'd hurry up and make your final selection because we're closing." I looked back at her and she smiled like she is being cute. Pissed me off. We proceed to the front to pay. While I paid, my SO was just browsing in the aisles close by killing time when another jerk employee starts being a smart ass telling her rudely that they are now closed. From reading others reviews, this seems to be the norm here. Rude customer service is their forte. I will not be spending another dime here. I know of many other places in town that would love to take my money while treating me right. I wish I would have read the reviews sooner.

Very magical place. Great selection of flowers, herbs, vegetables, houseplants, soil, pots, seeds,…read moretrees. The staff has always been very friendly to me. I have had a lot of luck with my houseplants that I have purchased from their houseplants greenhouses.
