Although my projects are on pause, I'm always comparing prices, assessing who installs, learning the trade and making plans. Today's mission was exterior door replacement and window screen replacement and although my initial selection turned out to be offered online only, it was nice to see everything in person. It's nice to see the options of installation services. Although you can expect a similar selection to other locations, I felt surprisingly comfortable in this store. read more

12.25.24 I always forget about this location of Home Depot. Shame on me. I wanted these cute Christmas light bulbs I saw online for my front porch. This location had 3 green ones left, so away I went to go get them. (No other locations had any left) I was in luck they still had them and they were 50% off. (I was so happy) You know it's the small things in life that makes us happy. They also had some cute light bulbs for my tree and they were 50% off too. So I "had to" buy 9 of them. Home Depot has been good to me, especially when it comes to my business. You see, before becoming an investor, I remember driving by and thinking only men went there. But then I started investing in properties, turning them into rental properties. So I had no choice but to stop by and go inside. I needed paint, appliances, floors, etc. I'm inside, clueless as I can be, and this woman asked me what I was looking for. You see, she was an investor, just like me, but with experience, and there have been more women I have met over the years. Of course, the guys are there, too. But, I have built a team of women and men over the years, meeting them right here at Home Depot. Also, the salespeople are professionals. I'm not as clueless anymore, but they are professionals and know the products better than I do. Plus, you can beat the prices. Oh, one more thing to mention is that you can also rent equipment and take classes. I have done it all!! read more

Such a frustrating last 2 visits. In need of "nails" for patio plastic border, I found a box but all the nails were individual. 3 plastic bags were buried on the box but all disintegrated and no nails actually in a bag. Come to find out from the cashier they don't sell them individually (even though there was a sign for those in bags and a sign for a certain number of nails individually. She was going to make me purchase the amount in the bag bc that was "the only way she could sell them." I showed her the sign for individual ones and she still charged me for the bag which was double the amount I was purchasing. Today, I went to have keys made, but after waiting at keys 30 minutes, associates making 3 different calls to get help, and even asking customer service for a manager that never showed up or reached on the phone, I left. This used to be an amazing store, with so many products, customer service was outstanding, etc. But something has changed drastically and now, good luck getting help, good luck getting products in the store (so many things now for gardening now have to be ordered online), and the types of plants and quantity are far less than some mom and pop garden centers. I'm going to start going further down 249 to Lowe's to see if I have a better experience and I'll start shipping those mom and pop places for plants. At least they seem to still appreciate customers. read more

The Service here has gone so bad I think a store manager needs to do something or be replaced. This is my third time this month that I come in ask for some help like for buying locked power tools ... the front desk calls and no one comes to help ... same happens before with other products. Terrible staff. Went here this weekend and the staff is unbelievably unprofessional. There was an employee who almost ran over my ankles with her cart, she was on my ass like it was a NASCAR race and when I slowed down to look at who was about to ram into me, she huffed and went around like it was an inconvenience to have a customer in the store. Sadly this isn't the worst employee behavior. At check out a couple employees blessed us by talking about women's Viagra and there was another conversation about somebody peeing themselves. Not a lot of options when you need certain household items. However, I think it's ridiculous at a store that does this level of business to not have at least one human manned cashier station open and forcing everyone through the self check out. There are simply people that are unable to navigate these types of machines, and there needs to be an option during those busy times! We been effected by hurricane Beryl and the nearby stores were sold out of generators. So I drove to Corsicana and purchased 2 Dewalt gas generators. When I got home 2hrs away one of them had a dent and was leaking gas everywhere. So I called customer service and they told me I had to go back to Corsicana I live in Magnolia. I asked why I couldn't take back to a nearby store. They said that's not thier policy. Any other store I can return regardless where it was purchased with receipt. Upon my arrival, approximately 10 minutes before opening, I was admiring the plants outside the garden section and had a pleasant interaction with one of your employees inside the store. However, the situation became unsettling when I noticed a white female customer staring at me in a manner that made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Despite my unease, I entered the store upon opening. The initial warm welcome by the store manager escalated into an absolutely humiliating public confrontation. The customer, standing beside the manager, seemed to have miscommunicated something about me. Without any prior provocation or attempt to gain clarity, the manager, in an accusatory tone, ordered me to leave the store, causing considerable embarrassment in front of other patrons. As a long-standing customer of Home Depot and a professional with extensive management experience at the U.S. Department of Defense, I found the treatment not only inappropriate but deeply distressing. I sought to clarify the situation, only to find the individual confronting me was the store manager, who, along with the customer, physically barred my entry. During this confrontation, the manager pointed her finger in my face, shouting, "You get out of here now! You know you are not allowed in Home Depot!" I repeatedly asked what I was accused of doing, only to be met with more shouting. As a disabled veteran suffering from extreme back problems, this situation was not only humiliating but physically challenging. The confrontation ceased only when the customer acknowledged her mistake, leading to a reluctant apology from the manager. However, the customer then mockingly sang an apology, further compounding my humiliation. I use to buy everything in my house from Home Depot. I felt it was a friendly store that offered great value but these actions made me decide to never enter the chain ever again and has and continues to cause me to have great anxiety. Some cashiers need to mind their own business if they are tending a line. I was in getting checked out, and ran into a small minor problem with an online gift card. People were standing behind me waiting no longer than 2 minutes, when the other cashier made a statement to them, "Come over here, its just ridiculous over there..." I'm sorry, were you assisting me? she continues to butt her nose in and came over to ask what the problem was. The girl helping stated the gift card needed a pin, but before she could finish, the was cut off by the rude cashier stating, "You ain't need a pin for no gift card!" and tried to snatch a physical gift card I was holding. She had no business to butt in, and she had no idea what was going on. My suggestion is to avoid a nosey and rude cashier when you come to this location. Ain't no body got time for her. Update 9/18/34 As of today, we are still without a functioning dishwasher. The damaged Bosch dishwasher that was delivered is still in my foyer, despite numerous conversations with Home Depot & Bosch. Home Depot states it needs Bosch's permission to pick up the dishwasher and we are still being charged for it. According to Bosch representative, replacement dishwasher is on back order until November. By the way, we learned this after numerous phone calls by my husband, not through any communication initiated by Home Depot or Bosch. read more

On 12/29/2018 my new fridge was supposed to delivered to my home and my old one was supposed to be hauled away. I paid extra for both of these to be done. The delivery men dropped off the new fridge, did not install the new one, they then took my old fridge and left it sitting by my front door. 7 hours later I saw the fridge by my door with the words "FREE" written all over it. I PAID EXTRA for them to haul the old one away, not to leave it at my door and invite strangers into my lawn all day. I called and was transferred 6 times to a manager for over an hour on the phone. I was told the company was closed and couldn't come pick it up. This is totally UNACCEPTABLE!!! read more

However, when we arrived at this particular Home Depot 37 minutes before closing, a manager by the name Nate and his associate Chris assisted us to the best of their ability and was even able to fit us in for a last minute cut. We are extremely grateful for this specific Home Depot. Their customer service is great and we will be coming here more often when starting a project. read more

Needed a garage door remote, as my previous one had broke. Didn't want to wait and pay for shipping, so I ordered one online for curbside pickup and waited for the pickup email to arrive. The email arrived within an hour and a half and I proceeded to the store. I proceeded to the curbside pickup parking and parked. A store associate immediately came up to assist me in getting the item to me. Had to wait for a couple of minutes (less than five), as three other people had pulled up into curbside pickup after me. They were gathering all their orders as well, so the wait is understandable. Once the associate came out with mine (And the other peoples orders), I left. All in all a great pickup experience. If home depot continued to offer curbside pickup, I would continue to use it. read more

I've been a die-hard Home Depot fan for over 20 years years but this year their customer service has completely disappeared. Their curbside service is atrocious, in-store staff practically runs the other way when you're looking for someone to help, and even after talking to the MOD (Manager On Duty) it's obvious that they could care less. During the evening hours there are no cashiers to check you out, it's all self-service (if I wanted to work for Home Depot I'd have already applied). I spent $3000 at this store (in the first 6 months of this year) and I've got two bathrooms to remodel and new kitchen appliances to buy in the second half of this year. Ordered a cooktop December 7th online from this store (they don't carry the item in the store). It wasn't delivered until New Year's Eve - in the late afternoon. Because of the holidays we were unable to have anyone install until yesterday, Jan 6th. The stovetop is too deep for our space by 1/2" (these dimensions are NOT on the website). We attempted to exchange the cooktop for a more shallow, and far more expensive cooktop. We were refused by the cashier, who then called for The Manager, Jason. He approached us shaking his head "no" and said "We don't return appliances." Period. First of all, they don't carry the item in the store and the only way to purchase is online. Second of all their shipping is so slow it took almost a month to arrive. Thirdly, it was delivered when the store was closed both that day AND the next for the New Year's holiday and good luck finding an appliance installer in that time frame. Jason was not remotely concerned about our being out hundreds of dollars. Nor was he concerned that it took so long to arrive. Even when told we were there to buy a more expensive model he didn't give a crap and was a total jerk. Obviously, Jason and his location could care less about customer service, guaranteeing what they sell, or anything but turning us away. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE FROM HOME DEPOT or at least this store! We went to Lowe's, ordered the more expensive cooktop that they listed with dimensions, and they explained their 30 day return policy FOR ANY REASON! WORST customer service ever!!! I got my garage door installed through them and I had an inspector come out and it needs to be checked and needs maintenance. It's been almost 1 MONTH since I first contacted them to have someone come out and fix this. No one that I need to speak with ever answers their phone and people in the store don't know how to transfer calls. Whether it's HomeDepot or the company they use for the installation, someone needs to contact me. I don't know what's going on lately but the service at this store has been noticeably better. Like amazing. There are more engaging and helpful staff than before. I walked into the store with no expectations of getting help and ran into Shelby in the irrigation aisle looking to create a self watering system. I had a picture and fountain pump and together, like kids working on Legos it was fun! Shelby opened the pump packaging to make sure all the parts I was buying fit, saving me a lot time, frustration and the chore of returning if it didn't fit. I described what function I needed and she knew what pieces I needed!! It was fantastic!! It's so wonderful when you have people who know what they're doing!! Shelby you're a star! read more
