These guys are just ON it. Admittedly, my order was the simplest order in the history of orders.... 1/8" acrylic cut to 11" by 13". But Brenda was so nice on the phone and we discussed whether the edges needed deburring/polishing and she asked about the application and said the order would be ready in under an hour. I picked up the next day. Plastic Zone did a great job for me a few years back when they built a beautiful case for a small antique rug that has been in my family for 150 years. It is now proudly displayed in my living room. Recently, I purchased a 1970s artwork that was encased in a lucite case but it had gone dull. The case fell down and broke during a photoshoot. I took it to Plastic Zone and they created a new custom case with a french cleat hanger to make sure it is secure and will not fall down again. whew! thank heavens we found this place. ; - ) we have new doors that needed acrylic safety / privacy panels. in the past, i've usually gone to a big shall-be-unnamed plastic place on sherman way for panels like this! as i got ready to go there honestly dreading it, i thought let me see who else is around that i can try. some giggling and searching for other nearby spots led me to plastic zone... and i emailed them some door pics and info about the pieces we needed. saeed responded promptly, nicely and was chock full of info. he said they can cut the panel into the exact shape i need, which was great because some other spots (including big spot on sherman way) would only do standard straight cuts (that we would then have to re-cut and modify.. that would be a pain). and he suggested the width that would be best for this particular application. (3/8"... when i thought 1/8" would do). he also gave an estimate and was instantly forthright and helpful... so i put the door frame in the car (so they could match size exactly) and came on over! saeed was just as nice and helpful in person. we ordered very lightly frosted panels. it took about 3 days to procure and cut them. but voila. they said they could do it, and they did it. and in the exact and shape we needed. our custom door guy installed them as the door was being finished up and all looks pro and great. pricing here is totally in line with what i have seen at other places. but they help with custom cuts and have cool, caring service and that is hard to find. and the custom cuts are key -- they have far better equipment and saws and skills than i ever would to fit something right. was very happy to find this place and will come back for acrylics and plastic panels for sure... and u should too! read more

As you could see I'm new to Yelp. I normally don't write reviews but this is the Exception... Boy! I don't know who to start with this very long review between two very nice and awesome business partners "Sid" or "Nator". I'll start with Nator since he was the first person I did business with because Sid was on a business trip the day I went to Plastic Zone for the project I wanted made. I had a 20" PC Monitor I needed to have a custom made Acrylic Frame and holder for an Arcade Machine project I'm still working on. Nator really paid close attention and took the time to help me out on what needed to be done. A few days later I had called to find out the process of the project and first spoke to Sid who happen to be very friendly on the phone, then I spoke to Nator to tell me that he was done with the project. :) I was Extremely Surprised when Nator told me the project was complete, because another Competitor that is 5 minutes away from where I live which I'm only going to abbreviate "AVPs" in No.Ho took them 12 days and one excuse and lie after another to do the same project. :O Boy! Did "AVPs" did me a favor. Otherwise my Project more than likely still would have been sitting at "AVPs" Shop. And most Importantly I never would have meet Nator and Sid. :) Me and my girlfriend then drove to Plastic Zone to pick up the Monitor and the finished project and meet Sid and told him what I was there for. Sid very kindly called Nator to the front to hand me the project that he had completed for me and did an Amazing Job on how the project came out. I brought the Monitor home with the Finished Project and I noticed I was a little off on the width of the Frame of the Monitor, I called Plastic Zone and spoke to Sid and he told me to bring the Project back so they could correct the problem. After work I took the Monitor along with my new spec sheet and spoke to Sid and Nator and told them on how I screwed up on the width of the Acrylic Frame and I was planning on starting from scratch to have a new frame made. Sid was very honest and told me that he didn't want to take my Money to have a new Acrylic Frame made, because by adding two 1/4" Acrylic Pieces to fill in the width would be better than dishing out $165.00 for a new replacement Acrylic Frame. I was stubborn by going with a new frame to be made knowing I was going to pay $165.00 for it. As some days went by I started thinking about the new frame and decided to call Sid and Nator to find out the process of the new frame. Luckily! they had not started the project because I decided to keep the old Acrylic Frame and ended up paying just an extra $30.00 for the two 1/4x1/2" Acrylic pieces. I had my girlfriend pick up the Monitor and Acrylic Frame and she brought it home. And when I got home from work. I installed the Acrylic Frame back into the Arcade Cabinet, and it fit and looks perfect without even noticing the two extra 1/4x1/2" Acrylic pieces on the sides of the Monitor. Saved me from dishing out $165.00 :) I have another project I need made, and Sid is ready for me to bring it to him whenever I'm ready. That's what I call top notch Customer Service... Even though Plastic Zone is about 8 Miles away from where I live vs. 3/4 Mile from the Competitor "AVPs". For me it's still well worth the drive to Plastic Zone due to how friendly Sid and Nator are along on how good they communicate and the Excellent Work they do. I'm Extremely Satisfied... "AVPs" Did some nice work for me in the past, but for whatever reason there Customer Service has turned very AWFUL from my previous last few visits before finding out about my new #1 on my list Plastic Zone. Which I now consider my new home for all of my Acrylic needs... Nator and Sid you guys RULE!!! Thank You Guys for your Excellent Customer Service... :) read more
