    Flavored butters with the rolls

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and service offered here. We started with the Huckleberry Lemon Drop cocktails and an order of the pork belly appetizer. That's when we knew we were going to like this place! We shared the onion soup which is presented in a unique manner with crispy onions. We also shared a Caesar salad which was crisp and chilled. The Hubbs had the Kobe burger, fries and asparagus. I had a small filet with baked potato and Brussels sprouts. Needless to say, we took enough home for a second meal. Their rolls were very warm with a crispy chewy crust and three flavored butters. The sunset view was amazing. We will be back!

You won't be rolling the dice if you choose to eat here. Every item on the menu is a jackpot. This six-star restaurant is on the pricey side, so you might want to eat before you sit at the poker tables or park yourself in front of a slot machine. Warning: the portions are generous. You may need help finishing.

Double R Ranch Ribeye with Fries & Carrots

When: Sun. Aug. 15th, 5:30 pm, Party of 2 Adults Located on the 2nd Floor, within the WildHorse Casino Resort, the Plateau restaurant is one of the few Fine Dining establishments in Pendleton. For your convenience, Dining Reservations can be made on-line via their webpage. Service from all parties was attentive & professional, as you would expect from a Fine Dining establishment. On this occasion, my wife had the Grilled Salmon, accompanied with Grilled Asparagus & Glazed Carrots and I had the Double R Ranch Ribeye accompanied with Hand-cut smoked Fries and Glazed Carrots. My wife complimented the Salmon dish for being very moist and seasoned perfectly to her taste. For me, the Ribeye was a tad dry and makes me wonder that I should have ordered the Ribeye Medium or Medium Rare, rather than Medium Well. Nonetheless, the Ribeye was satisfying and the Hand-Cut Smoked Fries was absolutely delicious. To end our evening, my wife and I shared a Blue Mountain Cheesecake, which was divine. The Plateau is a definite recommend, in my book, if you want a break from the Western-theme decor dining establishments.

Tribal salmon w / tomato broth

It happened on our way travelling out of Washington State and decided to stop over for the night and wanted to give this restaurant a try. The snow covered landscape at sunset just provided a romantic back drop for dinner at Plateau fine dining at the Wildhorse Casino in Pendleton, Oregon. We ordered to share " Up in Smoke " for our starter, and we were happy that we made the right choice. Our appetizer was delivered to us under a glass dome of smoke (nitrogen) on a cedar platter. When our server lifted the cover and released the smoke, it presented shrimp, oyster, scallop and salmon; seemed like either lightly smoked or cured, all tasted heavenly delicious with choice of stone grounded horseradish vinaigrette and homemade seafood sauce. Every bite of the ingredients telling us that this dish is the craftsmanship of an culinary artist and masterpiece of gourmet delicacy, The main dishes to follow were Grilled Halibut with Chili Mirin glaze and Pan Seared Tribal Salmon with Tomato broth. Each entree comes with choice of two sides. My lady chose asparagus Hollandaise and Lemon rice pilaf, as for me, garlic & crimini mushrooms and baked potato. The halibut was grilled perfectly and taste yum,yum vs. my pan seared salmon which had a nice crust yet done medium moist, with a nice tomato slaw and the tomato broth was so flavorful and inviting which nicely complimented this beautiful fish from the Columbia River and the perfect baked potato with trimmings also made this meal very satisfying and enjoyable. Service is impeccable and very friendly, with their exceptional food quality. I would recommend " Plateau " to any one seeking a nice place to celebrate a good cause or special event. You will not be disappointed!

The presentation of the food was great and taste was even better. The K-Sammy is VERY messy but so delicious. Calamari was tender and the dipping sauce was incredible. Not gonna lie, the Pork Cheeks wasn't me or my wifes favorite. But it really wasn't bad. *Lesson of leaving a 5 star before you leave the restaurant....the service was..alright..we had our card out waiting for the check for honestly about 30min or so and it wasnt busy. Room for improvement. We still genuinely enjoyed our visit.

We were seated quickly and it wasn't too busy so we were able to get a booth seat. The inside was nice and the booth was comfy. I decided to try a few items from the happy hour menu. Got an IPA for $8. Started with the k-pop wings. They were delicious and juicy and had a great flavor, and I enjoyed the sauces it came with. Also got the lamb burger. Honestly pretty disappointed. It was pretty dry, with barely any sauces and the bread made it more dry so it was hard to eat. The lamb was pretty good but wasn't the best. I also wish it came with fries or something else as a side. Finally got the Bibimbap with tofu. It was beautifully plated and had a lot of toppings but the rice was inedible. It seems to be at least a day old, not fresh, and it was not warm at all. The rice made it hard for me to enjoy as that was majority of the dish. The tofu was pretty good but overall I wouldn't return here unless for the k-pop wings. After dropping off the bill our waitress didn't come back at all so we had to wait a long time to get checked out, even another waiter had to come in and check us out because he realized she didn't come back. Kinda disappointed :/

I could not have loved this dinner more!…read more Service in the beginning was a little uncoordinated but once they got into the groove, everything flowed so well. Sundown was our main server and it was lovely. The meal is a prix fixe, with opportunities to add on with additional dishes if desired. We added on the charred shishito peppers and cheese plate and both were lovely. The star of our dinner was the pasta and meat courses - no surprise since the chef is Mike Easton, of Il Corvo and Il Nido fame. I will be dreaming about that Sungold Tomato pasta for years to come. The best part? An entirely vegan menu for one of friends that was delicious and in line with what we were having as well. She rarely gets to experience food the same way we get to so it was a real treat for her to have a multi-course vegan meal as well. Our amazing server Sundown also urged us to walk outside and enjoy the amazing sunset and I'm so glad we did - August harvest sunsets are something else in Walla Walla. The grounds are also amazing - beautifully landscaped, fun to walk around after such a lovely meal. We had such a memorable meal and time together last night, I was so impressed and HAPPY afterwards.

We had high hopes for The Kitchen at Abeja. With its reputation for being named one of the best…read morewinery restaurants by wine enthusiasts, we expected an exceptional experience--especially since we were celebrating my birthday. The evening started beautifully. The property itself is gorgeous, and the first few dishes that came out were wonderful. Unfortunately, the experience took a significant turn once our entrées arrived. The restaurant was gracious enough to accommodate my request for halibut instead of beef while keeping my friend's steak as ordered. Unfortunately, both entrées were overcooked. My friend actually looked at me and asked, "Are you sawing at your fish?" Sadly, I was. The halibut was so overcooked that I literally had to saw through it with my knife. As my friend put it, "No one should ever have to use muscle to saw a fish." Exactly. Her steak was also overdone. We brought the issue to our server's attention, and she asked if we wanted the dishes taken back. Of course we said yes, assuming that at a restaurant of this caliber, the kitchen would remake the entrées and give us properly prepared meals. That, unfortunately, didn't happen. Instead, dessert arrived. And that came with its own unexpected issue: while eating it, my friend actually lost a tooth. Yes--her tooth literally came out while eating dessert. Needless to say, that was not how we expected the evening to end. What makes this especially disappointing is the restaurant's reputation and the price point. We came in expecting a memorable dining experience and were excited to celebrate a special occasion. Instead, I left without actually having a properly prepared main course, and my friend left with an overcooked steak and a missing tooth. There were certainly some bright spots--the setting is beautiful, and the opening dishes were very good--but at this level of dining, the execution and, perhaps more importantly, the response when something goes wrong should match the reputation. For the price we paid and the expectations set by the accolades, this experience simply fell far short. Most disappointing of all, it was my birthday, and what should have been a special celebration became an evening we'll remember for all the wrong reasons.
