What can I say, this was amazing! Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly. We started with KPop chicken as an appetizer and it was juiciey and soo full of flavor. Our meals took some time to come out however we were forewarned. With a scratch kitchen, it's to be expected. I had the Black Cod, moist, flavorful and the favorite of the table. My husband had the Halibut (can't remember the name of the dish) and also perfectly cooked and full of flavor, the sticky rice and sauce really hit the spot. Our friends had the pork cheeks and quadrill, both dishes full of flavor and the meet cooked perfect, juicy and the sauce was an excellent compliment each individual meal. The potato's with the quadril had a nice garlic hint! The portions were filling and we didn't leave anything behind. Friendly staff, clean atmosphere, and great drink options, we will be back! We didn't give 5 stars as even though there was a warning, the timing between the delivery of each plate could have been closer and while our kiddos are foodies, there wasn't a whole lot for them to pick from that we could consider "safe" choices. They ordered the japache and while we adults loved the glass noodles, they felt like it was a little too slimy and the bean sprouts were definitely strong in flavor. The dish itself was well put together and the kiddos devoured the chicken and veggies in the meal.

My friend took me there to try the menu for soft opening. Food was good. Friendly staffs. Fancy utensils.

The bulgogi. We asked for extra meat and an extra egg because we were super hungry and we ate every bite

Claire and Eddie have really knocked it out of the park with The Witlof. Fantastic location and interior, and the food was so insanely good. A truly elevated experience. It was perfect for our date lunch. It has Basque, Dutch, and Korean-inspired fare, and we decided to go full Korean. My wife and I are both gluten free, and it was a relief that so many options on the menu were gluten free. They have plenty of dairy free, vegetarian, and vegan options, too. We shared the K-Pop chicken, which of course we had to get just for the name. It's like popcorn chicken, but make it Korean. Claire said the K-Pop chicken was their top seller, and I could see why. We could eat that again and again. We also shared the bibimbap and asked for it with extra bulgogi meat and an extra egg. Both were so incredibly flavorful. The bibimbap has house-made pickled veggies and house-made kimchi. My wife will be doing another trip to Walla Walla this month just to bring her sister here so she can experience it too. Service was prompt and top notch, and they answered all our questions about our food allergies. The Witlof is a treat and a must-visit if you're in Walla Walla for the day.

On a lazy afternoon I saw this new restaurant and went in. It was empty, but it was also 3pm. The hostess told me it was the 4th week of their soft opening. The place is sleek, Old Hollywood and Big Band music played, the walls are black and the ceiling is white. Everything feels a tad unfinished. I couldn't tell you what type of restaurant this is-- it is still developing its POV. My cocktail was well balanced and my soup gazpacho refreshing. I look forward to coming back!

Finally came here tonight. It was amazing. The Tempura Black Cod was light and flavorful, house salad was really good. Even the after dinner coffee was perfect. Another great addition to food in Walla Walla.

The first thing is coming in you get that rustic lodge feeling from the woodwork and decor as you get hit with that smokehouse aroma. No better way to get you hungry and set the mood for BBQ. Just yum! Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. She was attentive and checked in but never intrusive, hovering and did not ignore us once served. Tried a flight with Huckleberry, Berry, Cinnamon, Espresso and Walla Walla Sweet Onion (they "tree in" the espresso). Could take or leave the berries espresso and cinnamon were fantastic while the onion was interesting. Had a Bloody Mary with the onion and it was good. One table mate had the loaded potato with Mac and cheese and pulled pork. The noodles were bigger than skinny boxed and very tender. The cheese was creamy and flavorful and the pulled pork was tender and juicy and jam packed with flavor but could have been a bit more smoky. For the food: I got a small BBQ platter which came with 3-meat choices , a dinner roll and a single side choice. I chose baked beans for my side. Tri-tip, ribs and brisket for my meats. I tasted the beans nothing special but tasty. Same for the roll. The ribs were fall off the bone tender, juicy and meaty! I got three 3"-4" ribs. I also had a small pile of super thin sliced tender juicy and flavorful tri-tip and three 1/4-1/2" thick slices of brisket. The brisket was moist and had a good smoke flavor as well. I ate all the ribs, half the tri-tip and a slice of brisket. The rest went home with me as this was a hearty serving. To end our evening we were sent on our way with well wishes and thanks for patronage from our server and the bartender!

From the moment you walk in, you can feel how much pride and passion goes into everything they do. This isn't just a restaurant; it's a family pouring their heart into their craft. The backstory alone is inspiring -- from perfecting a coffee liqueur recipe years ago to building a full distillery and now a restaurant that's quickly becoming a local favorite. On our visit, we tried a little bit of everything: the legendary Texas Twinkies, hearty Loaded Baked Potatoes, the signature Cedar Rain Sandwich, and the savory Brisket Dip. Every bite tasted like it came from years of practice, care, and a true love of good food. And the drinks? Absolute perfection. The Peach Green Tea Cocktail was bright and refreshing, and the Lavender Lemonade Mocktail was every bit as crafted as a cocktail -- thoughtful, balanced, and locally inspired. What struck me most is how dedicated Cedar Rain is to being part of the Walla Walla community. They've built more than a menu -- they've built a gathering place that celebrates local flavors, family, and connection. If you haven't been yet, do yourself a favor and go. We both ordered meat, because it's what's for dinner! The pork chop and the New York specifically. With the blistered beans and wood stone potatoes. All seasoned very well and delicious. For startes, we ended up ordering the Pork Rulette, which was excellent. They even brought us more bread to enjoy it with. I think the biggest downside is the price, but we were finding everything in Walla Walla to be expensive. When in wine country, pay wine prices. I'd have preferred beer prices. Ensure you make reservations, the person that recommended the place mentioned it and we would agree. While it was almost empty when we arrive, it was full by the time we left with a wait.

She took care of party of 6 that ranged in ages from 44-86 with lots of laughter and fun. Every single thing we had was phenomenal - from the cocktails to starters to entrees and dessert, I was a fan of every bite. Starters: Salted Fries: perfectly crispy and seasoned with the best homemade fry sauce Ahi Wontons: great fish quality, crispy wontons and awesome sauce Mains: Three of us ordered the rotating steak and with three different cooking preferences, they nailed all three. Two of us got the Gochujang Glazed Tofu and it was delicious. The two sauces that came with could be added to make it to your liking. Our friend is vegan and they were able to customize it with no issue. Ahi Tuna: perfectly seared and delicious. Desserts: Zucchini Cake was a healthy portion and well-balanced. The star of dessert was the salted butterscotch ice cream. In a collab with Pine Cone Creamery, I couldn't stop eating it. The restaurant is gorgeous, still preserving some of the old pieces of it while modernizing it. Eating in the wine barrels or the private spaces looked special as well. What a treat, can't wait to come back when we are in town again!

Since the menu didn't indicate it was grilled or served hot, we expected a traditional cold sandwich. Instead, it arrived hot, which quickly wilted the lettuce to the point that we removed it. The ciabatta roll was also underwhelming--it was soft throughout and lacked the crisp, chewy crust that ciabatta is known for. The tater tots were just okay and seemed a bit overcooked or possibly freezer-burned. We were also surprised to see a charge for splitting a meal. We rarely ask to split dishes because my husband typically eats much more than I do, but it's the principle that bothered us. In today's dining environment, charging an extra fee simply to divide a plate feels outdated and unnecessarily nickel-and-diming customers.

My 4 star comes from us ordering a custom pizza and asking for certain ingredients (and confirming with the server) and then our pizza came out a little different. We thought we were getting pepperoni, sausage, onion, green pepper and half of the pizza with artichoke. That turned into: pepperoni, sausage, red bell pepper and green onions (like scallions) and artichoke on one half. When the gal brought it out she said "we don't have bell pepper" so there obviously is a miscommunication with the guy we ordered with. It was edible, I was disappointed but it wouldn't stop me from going back and just knowing not to order that.
