We have four kids one 5 mo so we mapped to Transmission Solutions and stayed there overnight. They fit us in first thing, found emission codes were the problem. It's usually easy to get on their schedule, and many times it has been the next day. Also, they have gotten my repairs done very quickly. I took my old work van in for an alignment and bushings. They spent all day grinding and tweaking my steering/suspension systems because it was giving them a particularly difficult time. They only charged for the alignment and bushings! Most mechanics would want them to last as little as possible so they can get more money later on. He's super honest and never tries to upsell anyone. When I asked him why he didn't at least start charging a little more since prices were skyrocketing all around us, he replied, "What about those who can't afford it? It doesn't feel right. I may need to look out for myself more, but the truth is, I don't want to overcharge people for something that more than likely only happened because some other commercial place messed up." The check engine light had come on on the dash and my car was running like crap, real slugish and…read morelacking power so took it to Jiffy lube. The service manager handed me the estimate and said I needed all the fuel injectors replaced and the wiring harness at a costs of $1,800.00. Thank God I was setting down because I almost passed out. I decided to get another opinion and had heard some good things about Goss Automotive so I looked them up seen that their mechanic would come to me so I scheduled a service call. The mechanic ,Derrick showed up on time and seemed pretty knowledgable, he connected a laptop under my dash and showed me the codes that were set and told me what they meant. I showed him the write up from Jiffy Lube. He started checking around and inspected some of the wires on the engine, checked the air filter. He had removed the big round plactic tube to make getting the air filter out easier and pointed at the throttle body and all the oil and built up gunk that he said was keeping the butterfly valve from closing all the way. It took him about 5 minutes to spray some cleaner and wipe it all out and put the filter and everything back together and had me start it.. I could not believe the difference ! The engine ran good again and the throttle was real responsive man what a difference . He cleared the codes and said that was the problem and if the check engine light comes back on to call him. So while I was still sitting in the car asked him what the damage was so in case i passed out it wouldn't hurt so bad ... he only charged me $80.00 Dude was awesome ! He saved me like $1,700.00 bucks and the check engine light is still off..
