When I settled my bill I was told the oil change couldn't be performed because the oil plug was rotted. They told me they did replace the oil filter. I was told to go to Honda and let them know what was going on. A week later I am at Honda and explained to my sales guy what happened. He said they would take a look. He also said I'm the third Honda owner who has been in today that has taken their car to Firestone in Liberty and there has been some issues. He said they would closely take a look at my car. Sure enough the oil filter that they replaced is from Jiffy Lube and there was no rot. The screw came off with ease. I don't like being lied to and I don't like paying for a service I didn't get. I am certain the gentleman that settled my bill at Firestone had no clue that my oil filter was never changed. If that is the case then there is a real problem with communication and organization with this facility. I'm giving three stars because I am happy with my tires.

they are not an honest shop. They took advantage of a coworker.. they replaced a thermostat housing…read moreafter I sent just the thermostat . He could have just swapped them but instead decided to order a whole new one. The car was in for over heating and he said he pressure tested it.. there is no way because the water outlet housing was cracked all the way up and through on both lines . coolant would have been spraying everywhere or blown them apart.. the hoses were soft and needed replaced. I called to discuss the bill and he got mad and started trying to add more .. he said he didn't charge for the thermostat housing that was gonna be another 60$.. I told him no you will get it back we put a stainless aftermarket thermostat housing on and a stainless water outlet housing on and replaced hoses . The turbo had NOTHING to do with the car overheating!!! Yet he charged 135$ for a turbo kit and 400$ for turbo labor when a simple basic pressure test on the coolant would have exposed the leak.... You could smell the antifreeze and see the leak! Anyways she paid 772.55$ for NOTHING a thermostat housing she didn't need.. the antifreeze and a turbo kit that I'd love to see receipts on... because it's not there.. I looked .. she has a car that still overheated... he fixed nothing and him and the lady cussed us out when we questioned the bill and work.. it was leaking this bad when she took the car in.. I have before and after pics of the car..

Took in daughters older car for A/C repair, they said it needed a leak check for $150. They found a leak and said $700 would resolve the issue for mainline replacement. A week later it didnt work again, took back in they said another $2K to fix it because it had another leak. Took to another shop to verify and they said it was clear that 2nd leak had been there for a while. Would have NEVER gottten the first repair done if we knew it was $3K. When I surfaced my frustration they took no ownership of it. Im done w/ them. Do NOT recommend them.

I've been working on vehicles and restoring cars for decades, so I have a pretty good sense of when I'm dealing with a quality shop. Carson's checks all the boxes. The owners are great people--honest, knowledgeable, and clearly take pride in doing the job right. What stood out most to me was their integrity. They had no idea about my background and could have easily quoted me anything for the project I discussed with them--something I've unfortunately seen happen at other shops where estimates come in at double the book rate, or more! That wasn't the case here. They gave me a fair, straightforward quote based on book time and took the time to explain exactly how they would approach the work. That level of transparency and professionalism goes a long way. If you're in the Northland and need work done on your car or truck, I'd absolutely recommend giving Carson's a shot.
