Worst dealership in Toronto. OMVIC REVOCKED THEIR MEMBERSHIP DUE TO FRAUD AND OTHER THINGS. I purchased a 2018 Honda Accord May of 2023. As of today's date I will have to replace the ENGINE. These guys are crooks and every step of the way. They wiggled out of checking my concerns seriously with a proper diagnostic check. Do not trust them and if you do decide to buy from them. Check your safety report. Check your bill of sale for discrepancies. Bring a car inspector to run a on the spot diagnostic test before you close a deal. They can not be trusted.!!!! Platinum Cars poses as a high end luxury used car dealer. They advertised a 2014 Dodge Caravan for $10,000. Pics and write up looked good. I called and said I was coming to look at it. When I arrived I-was shown the car and it looked ok. The salesman suggested I take it for a brief ride. When he opened the door the car was very unkept. There was litter I the font and rear of the car. I checked the AC and it didn't work. The driver's side window would not work. The radio and media display wasn't working. I was a little shocked at its overall condition. When I expressed that I was told "what do you expect for $10k. It will heal fixed when you pick it up". I replied "call me when it's done". The salesman said at this price it will sell quickly (wanting me to start the sale with a deposit before it was fixed. I declined and left. Moral of the story is they could not care less if you are spending $10k or $200k they just want the deal. Buyer beware. read more

Had terrible experience here. We got SCAMMED at this place! Our issue still not solved yet. Now every time we call in, they just ignore us either say the person is not in or putting us to the voice mailbox. We saw a 2009 Mercedes C class on Autotrader.ca. They advertised this vehicle is in great condition. We were interested and went there shop on Saturday. After test drive, my husband found out the engine was smoking and mirrors were not folding. The salesperson was trying to sell this car and convinced us to put down some fees around 10% of the sale price. We liked the look of this vehicle, however, we said by Monday if the issued are not fixed then we are not buying this car. After a deeper research and consulting with more experienced car person, we called in on Monday morning we decided not to risk, plus they didn't figured out why mirrors were not folding. We tried to communicated with them as soon as we can. We want our deposit back because the car is not as advertised as with excellent condition. As soon as we talked to them, they were trying to sell me on other vehicles in their shop. After that, they stopped taking our phone calls just stolen somebody's sweat money like this? Sorry guys, we are not interested in your business and any of your cars, please refund our money back. We've been called you so many times and left voice mail tried to communicate with you to solve this issue. If you just want to steal our money then we will have to report this matter to BBB. Buyer beware! My father purchased a 2015 Dodge Viper in May - was told by Brian if he did not purchase vehicle the price was going up $10 000, Brian said the owner told him exactly this. This should have been my fathers eye opening moment to run from this place. He bought the vehicle and upon picking it up was told that the engine light had came on and it was due to "bad gas". After that theory was debunked they requested the chance to diagnose and fix the problem. Back and forth to North York 4 times only to be met with we do not know why the engine light is on. Understandable if the mechanics that work at Platinum could not figure it out it, went to the dealership which they thought was a computer problem - replaced computer and engine light still on same code. Took to a mechanic that deals with high tech performance vehicles to find out 2 of the pistons are damaged. Brian requested a detailed e-mail regarding the findings. After weeks of my father getting the run around, I made a few phone calls myself today. Left message for Shaun (owner) at 8:30am, called at 10:00am and spoke to the receptionist who politely said Brian (sales) would not be in for an hour. Asked to speak with Shaun which she responded with "oh he is right here" after being put on hold it now seemed Shaun was busy with a client. Still no call back at 1:00 - I called again spoke with Brian briefly which was met with there is nothing he can do and to call back to try to speak with the owner. Called Platinum to speak with Shaun and was received with this is Brian's problem. Asked to speak with Shaun again who is now conveniently out of the office. There is a number of reviews that suggested this is the style of the operations they are running. Hoping this review can save at least one person from being ripped off by these people. Update: I posted my review on google and Shaun J had it taken down. I had posted emails between my husband and and his assistant about why it was taking so long to get the car to us, and why the transport company was turned away twice, before it was finally picked up on the third try. Shaun wrote back in the review that my husband had asked for the rims to be painted and that they had sent them off to another place. I'll n the email it clearly states that my husband had not asked for them to be painted. We also found an article online about this company being fined for not being truthful to customers. He later had a dyno done on the car and found out it lacked the horse power that this company said that it came with. We also found that they had put in the wrong battery for the car and my husband had to go out and replace the battery. There is a power draw in the car some where that we still haven't figured out yet. My husband took the car to YST Auto in Sackville where they found numerous problems. To date my husband has spent well over $10,000 to fix up his dream car. He has been in communication with Shaun J who this thinks my husband is wrong for wanting to be compensated. I also did not mention that they spray painted the rims on the car as well as the lug nuts. As soon as my husband washed the car the paint came off. Not an honest car dealership. I bought 2 cars from them. My first car was a Porsche, it was brand new so no issues there but when I trade it in for an Aston Martin I had a bad experience. I spent thousands on fixing the car that had electrical issues and un fixable bent rim that forced me into replacing all 4 rims and tires because that rim was discontinued. It was a convertible, rooftop and passenger window don't open. They don't fix the cars before selling them. They ask you to put a down payment before you take the car for a drive. I was suckered into purchasing extended warranty for $3800, I agreed because it's an Aston and things could go wrong. Shortly after purchase I received a letter from insurance company telling me they will not be able to cover most of what was listed in their brochure because it will conflict with Aston's dealer policy!!! No credit was issued. I was a small insurance company in London ON that should've been a red flag. I asked Shaun the owner to do financing he said ok no problem but I end up signing a lease instead because I was stupid enough not to read the fine print. Four years of heavy monthly payments and he asked me to pay $13,000 on top of it all before he gave me the ownership. Sneaky and dishonest. Worst experience I ever had. read more

Really bad service and bad experience. And big liars! They sold me a lemon BMW that had leaking gasket and promised it was not an issue because the car "sat for too" long. They never wanted to show me the carproof. (This is partly my ignorance). After the I realized how bad the issue was they didnt want to fix, return, exchange. I had to spent over 7k (at an independant dealer since the dealership quoted me 15+ K) to be able to sell it and a 15k lost! I met the general manager/owner Shaun who sent me to hell. Today I drove to Toronto to replace my Cayenne S with a newer, lower milage version. The picture on the web site was a fake, did not match the advertised car, not uncommon for this company. The car was in the yard, seriously needed cleaning and tlc. The sales person started the car for me and turned on the radio.He was vague about previous owners, service records, changing from yes to no to maybe. I wanted to test drive the car because it sounded rough but he did not allow it citing company policy that no test drives were allowed unless there was a commitment on my part to purchase the car and he would not have me joyriding it... really?? who joyrides a used SUV? He did offer me a warranty "that never declined a claim" because they have to go through HIM - now I am worried- he never heard of a warranty company not paying for repairs. traded my vehicle to this dealer, when I got the vehicle it was not detailed or cleaned on the outside was told to come back for the detail and they never had time for me, the car appeared to have an oil leak and when I asked for it to be checked they said I would be contacted by service to set up an appointment and was never contacted. then I started to receive phone calls stating that they never paid off the old lien (which they agreed to pay in the sales agreement) I contacted my sales rep (mo) who didn't help me much, I then contacted the financial manager at this location who lied to me saying its already been paid. now im paying for 2 cars 1 that I don't even own. would never recommend this dealer be aware and stay away from this dealership. would give this dealer negative stars if I could they have cause me nothing but grief and problems, I also never received my $500 deposit back that was supposed to be "returned to you in full on delivery date" read more
