We had a really bad experience with Platinum Painting. The scheduling experience went well - Miguel came out and gave an estimate quickly and was able to move the date for our painting up so that we'd have it done in plenty of time for a big party we had planned at our house. Miguel was friendly and helpful with any of our questions prior to the start of the painting. The actual painting experience was horrible. They did a very sloppy job - left the trim very messy without straight lines in all rooms of the house. They missed many spots including around two ceiling fans - which seemed very unprofessional to me. They came back to do touch ups, but we still aren't happy with the job they did especially after paying more than $7500 job to have our entire house painted. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone and we won't be using them again ourselves. read more

Please save your money, company does NOT stand behind their work. Wrote the following letter to owners of the company & received absolutely NO response. Mr. and Mrs. Pickens, We've been loyal Platinum Painting customers for many years and feel obligated to share our most recent experience with your team. The first time we hired Platinum Painting was in April 2010 to paint our media room. The second time we used your services was October 2020 to paint the kitchen. Then January 2024, we hired the company to paint out entire home inside and outside including the inside of the garage. The primary reason we continued to stay loyal to the company was the excellent services provided during the first two jobs. The experiences were so positive that we've referred several friends and neighbors over the years. Unfortunately, the most recent job was a completely different experience. We originally had a hair line crack in the garage sheetrock wall, and we paid Platinum Painting to repair the crack and repaint. Approximately two months ago, we noticed the crack reappeared so I called to schedule an appointment. Friday, November 15th Rubio Rene stopped by to look at the crack, and his manager told him do not repair or repaint anything. The message Rubio passed along from his manager was, "we don't owe them anything since it is a foundation problem." I was completely shocked especially since Rubio confirmed the wall had the original tape so when they were here in January they only repainted the wall no sheetrock repairs were done. I asked Rubio the name of his manager, and his actual words to me "he did not want me to provide his name to you". In all my years, I have never encountered this type of customer service from a company. It was especially astonishing considering we spent over $15,000 with your company for this work to be done right. Additionally, we confirmed just last year that our home's foundation is not experiencing any issues. On September 8, 2023 Foundation Repair of Texas did a full inspection of our foundation. Per the official report (attached), it was concluded the amount and degree of movement in this home is within normal standards for differential movement and the foundation is performing as designed. Remedial measures are not required currently. It's not a foundation issue. We are only sharing our story with you because you are the owners and should know the experiences your team members are creating for customers. We will no longer be recommending Platinum Painting to others. read more

I highly recommend Ivan and his crew at Platinum Painting. We recently moved to the area and painted the entire interior of the house. It was a huge job and they were in and out in a week. He came recommended by our realtor and after receiving a few quotes on the job, he came in at a very fair cost. He and his crew are professional, fast and Ivan did a great job helping me choose a few colors for the house, including adding samples to the wall for me to think on. Raul and Moses' crew were amazing! They did a great job, showed up on time and got the job done which we agreed on. Gave the best quote out of the three companies I consulted. One of the other paint teams wanted me to pay for the paint (expensive I might add) and still over priced. I went as far as picking the colors and getting a quote from Sherwin Williams. He also didn't have all the tools and measurement cameras Raul - from platinum painting-had. Talk about legit! Raul's team (led by Moses) came with the paint (included in the quote) - we discussed multiple options and textures for the white (fireplace) and grays (walls). He had some amazing tools - and the other two had nothing. And I even got a discount for having painted before fully moving in! Less furniture and odds and ends to move / cover. I don't ever want to paint another room until I have a mid life crisis, but if you do, definitely choose platinum painting! You are an absolute fool if you hire this company. We had them out and they are the most OUTRAGEOUSLY priced painting company i've ever seen. $2,500 they wanted just for a master bedroom and bathroom alone as an example. Since we were having our entire house done we were a bit shocked and really wondered if we we're out of touch. We decided to do the master bath and bedroom that they wanted $2,500 for ourselves. It took two of us 4.5 hours to complete the rooms from walls, ceiling, and trim including prep along with approx $55 in materials. That comes out to $277.77 per hour they seem to think they are worth for painters. So unless you enjoy paying attorneys billable hourly rates for painters skip this unbelievably outrageously greedy priced company and find someone far more realistically priced on craigslist or somewhere that does amazing work for a fraction of the cost. We did end up finding someone to complete the house for 1/4th of what platinum painting seems to think they are worth. They did an excellent job and the house looks incredible, as does my bank account balance. read more

They did a beautiful job painting my house. Even added a seal around my garage and replaced a board that was bad!! Only bad thing I have to say is they broke 4 bulbs out of my kinda expensive hanging patio lights and 3 decorative solar lights I had in the ground and failed to mention it. I just happened to notice the bulbs and asked what happened and they said "oh we broke them". They did take the cost of the bulbs off the price so that was cool. Didn't notice the solar lights till the next day. Guess I technically should have removed them ahead of time. Oh and one of the workers napped at my front door during their lunch hour. The work was very good. However, in good conscious, I cannot write a good review or recommend them to anyone after someone on the crew stole over $5,000.00 in jewelry from our master closet, which was not part of the project. It is just my wife and I, and no one has been in our home recently. The jewelry was there before they showed up and was gone after they left. I contacted the company and filed a complaint. They investigated and said none of the crew had been in the closet. This was a lie because they put 4 pieces of furniture in the closet. We hired Platinum painting to paint our kitchen cabinets, interior doors, a bathroom vanity, utility room cabinet and all baseboards/window sills upon selling our home last year. The estimate process went smooth with Raul ... very responsive. The crew came in and were pretty efficient, timely, did a good job being clean and putting up proper precautionary drapes, etc. It took a day longer than anticipated. However upon examining the final finishes, the work was sloppy. Several drawers and cabinets had clear brush lines or gloppy paint smudges. I would have preferred air brush versus hand painted with what I know now. They did redo a few, but unfortunately did not allow them to dry properly so you can see smudges and marks from moving them around. Additionally many drawers were not put back in properly so cabinets wouldn't open/shut without banging into each other. I'm giving them 2 stars because the crew was nice and respectful and the sills and frames were ok. The kitchen, however, which is what really mattered, was not satisfactory at all. read more

So we finally got our new floors and beautiful large WHITE base molding installed. With that said, when Platinum Painting painted our entire interior of our home, prior to us moving in in January 2021. We found Platinum Painting through Angie's List. Eddie started off our experience with a visit to our home where he helped us identify desired paint colors and measured the entire room. He provided a series of quotes depending on the amount of work that we wanted to complete and we set our appointment. We agreed on price and then set a date. When the work crew arrived, the team lead walked through our home and made one critical suggestion: we thought we wanted the ceiling color to be the same as the walls and, particularly due to the shape of our ceiling, he encouraged us to go with something white. He spent time explaining why, providing specific examples, and guided us through a few other parts of the process. We went for it. I was home for the work and the crew was really impressive. They did the majority of my home including some precise detail work around an art nook. The only downside that I saw was a slight rush by one of the painters at the end of the work (not the lead, Roberto, who continued to deliver amazing attention to detail down to the last minute). As they wrapped up our hallway, there were two spots where they applied excessive paint. I took a brush and smoothed those spots out. Additionally, when moving our coffee table back into place, they apparently had some paint on their hands and got a bit on the edge of the table. Unfortunately, we didn't notice until a few days after the fact. Overall, We had a fantastic experience and they're coming back soon to finish off a few rooms that we didn't do in the first go. I had a number of companies provide quotes for painting the interior of my home. Chris was the only one who actually took measurements and when I spoke to him about the different types of paint that are available and the different textures one could use, he was knowledgeable about the subjects. He provided a reasonable quote and was able to get me scheduled quickly. Ivan and his crew showed up early at 7:30am, a half hour ahead of schedule, listened to my instructions, noted the paint colors and got to work prepping the home. They worked until 5:30pm and put in a solid day's work and showed up early the next day as well. The job was supposed to take 3 days but was done in 2. The work was excellent. We recently completed a whole home interior paint projects (3/2 1800 sq ft). Ivan, our project manager, walked the house with me and provided a fully detailed, written estimate afterwards. We chose this company due to the competitive pricing (not the cheapest or most expensive), online reviews (from several sources) and that they have employees (which makes the bid a bit higher but worth it). They arrived on time (every day) with the correct paint. We were fortunate to have a 5-man team who worked hard, start to finish, each day (no messing around, too many breaks etc). They covered everything appropriately and none of our floors or personal items were damaged or accidentally painted. When they had to move our larger antiques, bed, electronics, they were careful. They staged their materials appropriately in the rooms (if you have a larger family than our 2-person household and need to live in while doing it, make sure that's known so they'll clean up every night or 'camp out' with your kids and make it fun). They were very accommodating of my request to repaint certain sections up to three times (paint samples were bleeding through). They really seemed like they wanted me to be happy. Happy I was. Because I could stay home while they were working, I could answer questions if needed, but they went to work and so did I. We had little interaction and that was fine. We walked through each day to check progress. They let me blue tape areas to tackle the next day. At the end we did a final walk through and it was a beautiful project. They even took the mirrors off the wall to paint behind them! I highly recommend and may hire them to paint our garage when we move in a few years. read more

I can't say enough positive things about this company. We had the whole exterior of our house painted and it looks wonderful. Absolutely fantastic! When you set up an appointment (ask for Ivan!), they come out and give you a quote right there. Not only was I shocked how reasonable they were, but there were no high pressure sales tactics used. Ivan followed up with us a few days later and we decided to go with them. He came out a week or so before the appointment so we could choose paint colors. A day or so later we had a panic attack we picked the wrong color. Not only did he come back out, but he brought actual paint this time so we could see the look when it was on the house. When the team started to paint we were introduced to the foreman for the job by Jorge (who I believe was over scheduling and other projects going on). Lupe was fantastic and his whole team was done within two days. They not only taped off all the windows and other areas, but they covered our neighbors car with plastic on the off chance a gust of wind would carry it that 45-60 feet away. We used Platinum Painting at our first house and they were absolutely fantastic. I'm not sure what has happened between now and then. We needed two step ups restained. The trouble first started in just getting someone to call me back. I spoke to a receptionist who said that my information would be passed on to Ben who had done our first house. I'm not sure who dropped the ball on this one but I had to call THREE times before I was told to just send in some pictures because they didn't need to do an onsite estimate. I did and received a quote of $350-$450. It took another THREE calls to get the job scheduled even though I called back the same day they provided the estimate. They show up on the day they are scheduled (which we had to take off of work) only to tell us that they can't do the job and because they didn't think they could match the stain. We were told that they were going to bring a different guy by to look at it. Never heard anything back. I finally called Ben who told me that he spoke with his guy and he wasn't able to do the job. I'm don't think that I ever would have heard back from them if I wouldn't have called. Ben did say that he would give me names and numbers of people better suited for the job. I never heard back from him, not that I expected to at this point. I'm not sure why the level of customer service has changed so drastically, it's not like I'm even dealing with a different person. This was just the first of many jobs I needed done. Plus, I've been recommending them to friends. Never again. Sadly we are back on the market for a painter. read more
