This is a very good thrift store to visit when looking for clothes that are still in style! They have a huge selection of female clothes and smaller selection for males that grows each time I come. They change out items for each season so there's always new things on the floor. When selling items, they can be picky with certain items so it can feel like they don't like your clothes. SO a tip is to find out what they are specifically looking for (they will post on social media!) and this will help out a lot :) Overall, it feels clean, organized, well-managed, and fun to visit! read more

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this location. I went to donate clothes and I was told they weren't interested in any of my items. However, it was very obvious they didn't look through my items because several pieces were folded exactly as I left them. I would hope that the employees wouldn't cut corners, and that they would actually thoroughly do their job, but it appears they decided to be lazy. I highly encourage others to not do their business at this location. read more

I experienced something that I have read others experienced. I brought a CLEAN, full bag of barely worn name brand clothes in brands Athleta, Lululemon, Calia, Abercrombie. 2 items were purchased, 2 NEW Athleta tops for a total of $6. I was surprised, but then I returned home and found that the bottom half of the bag was COMPLETELY undisturbed. These items were folded exactly the way I had folded them and in the exact order. The top half of the bag was thrown back in. I won't be returning as a shopper or seller. It would benefit the store to have buyers that care a bit more. read more

So I liked dealing with this place but now it's a joke. I brought in a bunch of Nike shoes and gear and waited for 3 and a half hours for them to not buy anything. They said that i needed to wash them and everyday wear and alot of them was brand new with tags still on them so i wasted a hole day for nothing done with this store read more

I came in here to find clothes since my pregnancy caused some weight gain.. usually going into this store the girls are very sweet and dont crack jokes about different body types. tonight I went to check out and there were 2 girls standing behind the counter sorting through donation bins/clothes that had been brought in. I brought my basket up front to check out at the counter and while I was walking past them I heard them making jokes about how big a pair of pants were. usually this wouldn't bother me, I'm not a sensitive person. but tonight the things they said (one of them joked about it being so big it couldn't fit her own mother) it made me feel so uncomfortable. i dont think I will ever return here again. and I know it won't make much of a difference to their store(at all) but it's not for them it's for me. because no one deserves to hear that or be talked about.. read more

I went in concerting a refund. I was calm and nice asking about it while the girls was rude and mean. I asked to talk to the manager and while I was talking to her, the first girl went to the other employes and was talking about me. I said to the manager I am polite and calm but your employee are standing there talking about me making fun of me. All she said was yes they are. while I was waiting an employee rang up a young girl buying a pair of shoes. she wasn't kind to her either. Don't let your kids shop there unless you want them to feel horrible when they leave. If I could do less than a star I would read more

I brought in 4 boxes today full of things that they had listed on their instagram- workout gear, womens pants, T-shirts, sweatshirts and other things like some jewelry (which was already put into little bags) and some swim suits because its summer. And mind you this was good quality clothing, it was all freshly cleaned and folded, containing brands like fabletics, nike, patagonia, etc. Out of all that, they took 8 items. 3 of which were things that they listed that they were in need of. So... pretty disappointing. I had also noticed that they were really busy, so i was expecting them to take an hour or 2 so, understandably. They were done with it in like 20 minutes, which makes me think they didn't truly go through it. read more

I went in to drop clothes off today. That way the girl with dark hair and glasses was really rude to the other employees right off the bat that I noticed. And then she was really rude to us when we were dropping off clothes. We had lots of great items, but they didn't want any of them. Lululemon, Nike, KanCan, etc. when we went to pick them up, she was there again, the rudest person I've seen on this entire planet earth. Came in with my little sister to find some warmer clothes for fall. There is a ton of selection in a huge variety of sizes!!! And prices are super reasonable! There is plenty of designer items marked way down. Staff was super friendly and helpful! And things were laid out well. They will even hold items in bins up front so you don't have to juggle all if your good deals. read more

Wide Selection of clothing that was neatly organized. The dressing rooms were open which was a plus, however the employee that opened the dressing rooms and checked me and my friend out was a little rude and seemed like she didn't want to be there. read more

Never had a bad experience until recently. I usually feel as though the prices I'm offered for my clothes is pretty reasonable based on brands and styles, but not this time. I had heard they were accepting prom dresses as buys and decided I would try getting rid of my 3 from my prom dresses. One dress was bought for $75, one for $95, and the other for $400. I took all 3 in and they decided to make an offer on the 2 most expensive dresses. My offer on the $95 & $400 dress was NINETEEN DOLLARS....TOTAL! I then asked why they would offer $10 a piece for dresses that costed me $500 total and said that they were told the highest they could price their prom dresses in store was $50 so basically the most that anyone selling a prom dress there could make was $10-$15. HORRIBLE IDEA for them to try buying designer expensive dresses from girls costing $100's to only be able to offer a measly $10. They have UGG's and Doc Martens in there priced higher than $50 and are giving sellers more money for those than they are giving people for high end dresses worth $100's. Even more ridiculous is the fact that they expect the prom dresses they buy off people to be CURRENT TRENDS, but yet still can only offer $10. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS & highly doubt I will ever sell with Platos again. Seriously disappointed. read more

Came to this location for the first time in hopes to make some money. I drove 35 minutes and was made aware of the "no bag" rule when I parked. I was greeted with poor customer service when I walked in. I brought in 5 bags of name brand clothing, the girl helping huffed and puffed about the quantity. It look less than 30 minutes to "look at all my stuff" where they offered me $49 for 10 items. I took all the rejected shoes and clothing to the Des Moines location where they had amazing customer service and paid me $170 for almost all my clothes and shoes!! I came in to both sell some of my own items and look at their collection and was unimpressed by both. First of all, I received less than $2 for the 20+ items I brought, all of which were name brand and in great condition. I brought them there specifically because of the condition they were in hoping to make a profit. I normally just donate to places like Goodwill and Salvation Army. This was very disappointing to me. Second to that, they then charge way beyond what they pay for clothes. I did stubble upon a pair of not brand name leggings and purchased them for $12 for an upcoming hiking trip. I wouldn't have if I hadn't had needed a pair I could get dirty. Definitely won't be selling clothes here again. Waste of time. read more

The clothes were all trendy clothes that were sometimes sorted by brand and mostly by size which is really nice.

I went in yesterday to drop clothes off for money. I walked into the store and a lady basically yelled at me and told me to come back tmw but then told me to put my clothes into a different bin and then to talk to someone else. Every time I've gone into this store they've always given me so much attitude and disrespect. So after I finished putting my stuff in the bin the other lady took my information. I was kinda confused by why I needed to come back tmw bc they didn't explain why. Plus it's a 20min drive for me to get there so that was kinda an inconvenience for me. I did go in today to get my money and they took a lil over half of my stuff which is very surprising bc in the past they barely took any of my stuff. Would not recommend going to this store. read more

I love Plato's closet. They have a wonderful selection of gently used clothes at fantastic prices. It's the first place I go when I'm looking for an article of clothing. Clothes for every age and size. Your one stop shop. Great prices, great clothes and a great staff. Love this store. read more

Not impressed with the selection of clothing here, I've been to several other Plato's and they usually have nicer brands and quality clothes. Lots of old style clothes that aren't up to trends at this one and tons of forever 21. If that's your jam then it's a good store. If you want better clothes and accessories I went to goodwill after Plato's and found a much better selection read more

So far this is my favorite thrift store. They have the best clothing and brands that teens and young adults love like American Eagle, Victoria Secret Pink, and lots of other brands! All of the clothing is also pretty cheap. For example I got 3 pairs of American Eagle jeans for a total of $54 (which is usually the price of one pair). read more

This is a great store, really good clothes. Some are not name brand but still conditions, also they are really nice and helpful. I recommend if you're trying to sell clothes and get some extra money, they are picky but still can get some extra cash. I think some of the items are kinda overpriced even though they are used I get if they are brand new with tags, but some are not brand new and still kinda expensive for a second hand clothing store. read more

i find a lot of cute, cheap cloths here. but when i bring in a bag of clothing i expect a few pieces of clothing to be not taken, sure thats understandable. but when i bring in a pair of jeans ONLY tried on once that i ordeded from forever 21, tags just taken off not being taken due to " every day wear " that seems odd. yes every day wear is common. but if ive never worn something, never moved it from the closet how can there be wear? i also brought in some shirts i purchased from there but never wore once purchased that were given back. some other pac sun shirts worn once or twice give back. i think they need to look closer at the clothing. theres been other times i know the cloths havent been looked at since theyre in the bag folded how i orignally put them in there. good place to buy, not give. read more

They had their OPEN sign on and hours listed on Google saying they were open til 9pm on Saturday. Assuming that means come in and shop, I drive on over to take a look. After being in there 5 minutes, already having picked out a couple items, the cashier says, "feel free to look around but we aren't selling anything today. " After, Mrs. Don't acknowledge mentions this to me I see no point. Why on earth would I walk into a store and look around but know that even if I like something I'm not allowed to get it. I wonder how many people were told the same thing. You started accepting clothes in January and you have a full inventory of worn clothes, yet you still aren't selling and still leave your OPEN sign on and don't post a note up on the door to let customers know? There's people that may have drove near and far assuming from Google that it's open when you're not and that's not a good reputation to have before the store even opens. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I went in and they were helpful said it would take about half and hour to go threw all the clothes I brought and get back to me. Well two hour pass and I haven't heard anything. I call the store and they told me it had been done for a while. Not only did I have to wait so long they decided to pass on everything.
