What a JOKE!!!! This is a super SHADY PLACE!!! I brought an IKEA bag full of clothes and sat in the parking lot as I watched the girl look at an 8th of the contents then start stuffing things back in the bag!!!! When I went in and confronted her with what I'd watched she tried to deny it!!! LOL! There were high dollar jeans and leggings in the bottom including Lululemon, Athleta, Nike and others but they never made it to the bottom of the bag!!! What a JOKE of a business!!! And if you go shop in there most of the items hanging on racks look like Goodwill recycles!!!! Wow!!! Don't waste your time!!!! read more

Dont bother buying/selling anything here or at any location at that. Didnt take any of my barely worn clothes except a hello kitty jacket but yet in their racks it's all either so worn out, stains everywhere or it's something from walmart. Also another issue is what you bring your clothes to sell in, I was told rudely that I needed to stop bringing a trash bag in (mind you first time selling to this location) I was in the midst of moving into a new apartment. I went here today and needless to say I'm very disappointed and will never go back! This is not the first time I have had problems with this place. I went to style encore next door and sold a lot of my clothes for a good price and I asked what I should do with the remainder of my clothes and they suggested going to Plato's closet next door!! If your trying to get ride of clothes I would suggest going to style encore instead even though I think they are the same chain, the staff is also much friendlier!!! I then took my clothes to Plato's closet and at first the staff was friendly and I got a text in maybe ten minutes at the max all my clothes were done. So when I went back they said they would only give me 12$ for nice clothes. I had nice men's Nike polo golf shirts that were hardly ever wore along with clothes with tags on it and many other very nice clothes. They took probably around 12 pieces of clothing and were only going to give me 12$ for all my items is which horrible because I've seen the horrible clothes they do take and sell and they are selling them for out ranges prices!! When I told the girl and the front I want to take all my clothes back she seemed very upset. I could understand how busy they might be and how it could be frustrating for someone to take there clothes back after looking through them but I feel that that was not fair by any means!!! Just went in here with my children (who were exceptionally decent I might add) to maybe find a pair of shoes and an outfit. Literally one person was working and the rest of the girls were standing around not ONE person asked me if I needed help finding anything or for help at all no one greeted us as we walked In or told us to have a great day while we were leaving I should leave no stars but unfortunately that's not an option read more

The workers here are absolutely snotty and lazy. I took in 3 totes of very good name brand clothes, mostly consisting of 20+ pairs of jeans. They took very few of the items and then didn't even go through one tote! I'm OCD and know the order I put things in the tote and I could easily tell they didn't even bother to go through it. This place is basically a last resort over priced goodwill. They sell Walmart brand items for more than they're worth and half the clothes they claim they don't take due to stains and such, I find on the racks.....fact of the matter is it literally depends on whose working on whether or not you'll be able to sell anything or even have a positive shopping experience. I refuse to shop here anymore because the staff is god awful. read more

7 minutes ago A girl that worked there opened the door as I was in the changing room, exposing me to all the customers. Then, some really awful, girl named "T" (A very rude, dark-skinned manager) belittled the entire incident. Both girls were VERY unprofessional. I like the store, but they need to fire those two women like YESTERDAY, because that is now how you treat customers. I will never be using a Platos again, and I will be sure to warn everyone I encounter to avoid this place (and the terribly disgusting and unprofessional staff). I wish I could give negative stars for how awful these women truly were. Such a horrendous staff at such a nice store.The positive reviews are clearly fakes trying to up the ratings, and, unsurprisingly, all of the negative reviews are one-star, and pertain to the staff.. read more

Every time I've gone to platos, this one in particular, I swear it's the last time I'm going, but i always give them a second chance. Today when I went in to drop my clothes off to sell things went fine, the girls were just kind of rude. Not much of a worry, just figured they were stressed or something. When I come to pick up my stuff, I stood in there looking at the girls standing behind the counter for probably 15 minutes before I was helped. Not even acknowledged for at least 15 minutes. The girl behind the counter had her mask so low that I could tell what color lipstick she had on, so much for the covid safety precautions. I was then told my total in payment, $93.69, this was paid in all 10s, 1s, nickels and pennies, and I wasn't even handed the correct amount originally or told why some of my stuff wasn't taken. I then had to go behind the counter myself to get my remaining boxes. I understand things are stressful in customer service jobs, especially now, but when there are 10 girls just standing around and you're not even acknowledged for 15 minutes, it's very disappointing. Also sad to see a business who claims to be super in depth with their COVID precautions and cleaning on social media not even properly wear masks in real life. Will not be returning. read more

The girls that work here have been rude and snarky every time I've come in. I came in once and a worker cashed a girl out then right as she walked out the door she loudly asked her coworkers if she was a man or woman and that "she couldn't tell". Workers are rude, unprofessional, and overall make the shopping experience there hell. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would do it in a second. This store has absolutely the rudest employees I have ever seen in my life. If you bring clothes in to sell that aren't brand new with the tags still attached, they treat you like trash with an arrogant attitude thinking they are better than you. I asked about trying on clothes and the employee said "it's not your size, wouldn't you prefer Target or Walmart". Rude, Rude, Rude! Don't shop here, don't sell here, don't even come in to look around. Treat this place like the plague. read more

I usually come in to sell my clothes. It turns out pretty well every time! Associates are super friendly and helpful. I can personally never find anything to always buy (I mainly shop for work clothes), but it's a great place for younger, stylish girls! read more

I was VERY disappointed in my experience here. I read the reviews, did my research on what they were taking at the time, and brought all nice, clean (barely worn) clothes. I also brought two huge bags full and traveled 45 min because of the reviews. They gave me $19. The buyer had NO idea of the item values. She picked a pair of shorts from Wal-mart, a 4 year-old shirt and a few low priced items and didn't even blink at any of the Ann Taylor Loft, Maurice's, or Northface items. Obviously biased by the buyers personal style and not how old or nice the clothes actually are. read more

always very friendly and have had some success selling and buying. they buy according to who is working and what has been selling in their store. It may be a popular brand but if it's not selling in Conway, they will pass. but hey money for anything destined for the donate box, is like free money!!!! read more

I am beyond disappointed not only with the clothing selection but the staff I will never go to the store again not only was the staff rude but inconsiderate and not paying attention to where they were going. when the incident happened they were even ruder. I was in the store with my baby cousin and he dropped his ring ( in which his grandmother had given him.) when he was reaching down to get it the worker stepped on crushing it into 3 pieces and smashing his hand in the process and continued to keep walking on, the other customers in the aisle looked at me and asked what had happened they heard the crunch under the man's foot and we're concerned I went up to the worker and had calmly explain to him what he had done he then proceeded to touch my baby cousin inappropriately and kept saying sorry even though we knew he didn't mean it so we took it to their manager well we tried to there was no manager that was there so we took it to the next best person who asked if there was anything she could do when we replied no she continually said sorry to us again and told us to let her know I then proceeded to leave the store and you could hear them just laughing and she said she would talk to him, she called him over gave him a high-five and then told him to get back to work.
