Everytime I come in, the workers are complete stuck up privileged girls who give everyone that comes in a dirty look, I'm assuming because we buy second hand. They NEVER take any of my items but one time took a beat down pair of Jordan's??!?!?? I brought in brand new crop tops, some WITH TAGS I've never worn before here. Absolute bs when I came in after waiting an HOUR with NO TEXT or update on my clothes just to find out they 1. not only didn't buy anything (Aerie, shein, vs pink, lululemon, American Eagle, Romwe, Nike, Jordans, Adidas, Wild fable.) but 2. NONE of the items were even looked at. I had watched them the whole time from the door window outside, all they did was glance and throw them in a bin. All items were passed on. They told me because of the STYLE. Below are just some items I've decided to keep to sell to my friend since I sold the rest at Uptown Cheapskate. Not even folded back, and made me carry all 40 clothing items in my arms to the parking lot where 2 clothes fell on the cement. DO NOT COME HERE. They are also very selective on the amount of money they give you. This place isn't even worth it. Not clean. Not friendly. Not a girl's girl type of environment. Judgmental. Prices have absurdly gone up high. Never buying any types of clothes unless you're their friend basically. read more

The girls who work here are more than disrespectful and they are very snobby! i had gave away my old american eagle jeans, shien outfits, american thread jackets and shirts ,nike clothes, and victoria secret/pink clothes and they bought almost none of it then offered me 4 dollars there excuse to buying none of it was "it looked to old and not like someone wouldn't buy it" i can say i am flabbergasted at how i was treated by this store!! read more

Don't try to sell to the Plato's closet in Cumming! They won't buy any of your items. I had American eagle jeans, Nike track shorts, flannels, Braves t shirts, Champion tanks, Adidas tanks, nice men's dress shirts that still have tags on them and they passed on EVERYTHING! They told me they don't sell those items... like really but your gonna try and sell those dirty converse that have stains on them... ok! They say they only take lulu lemon, gym shark and a few "designer" items... don't try and sell to them! They suck! read more

Every time I've gone into that store, the workers are always rude or not friendly at all. When it comes to selling close to them, they never seem to want to buy anything that you have brought in. Even items that are brand new with the tag still on them! They won't buy items because they are out of style, have wear on them or whatever may be the reason they say but then on their racks... they are selling clothes that have holes in them, super out of style, cheap brands for way too much (shein), or they are just absolutely dirty. However, don't worry, they will make sure to give you at least 20 bucks for an entire bin full of good name brand clothes!!!!!! Rip off for sure. Speaking of dirty... the store. Every time I go in there I always feel the need to wash my hands right as I leave. Its very unclean, especially the dressing rooms and floors. read more

This is the second time they've told me my clothes have odor. Which is funny because the first time they said that I left the clothes in my trunk for 2 days and brought them back and they took half of them. This time I went to Uptown first (which I always do because they give you more money) and they took $60 worth of stuff and then Plato's wants to say the same clothes smell. I think the store just smells with all the SHEIN and scuffed up sneakers. I just had my roommate sniff every single item and she didn't think they smelled. I think it might have been the real leather jacket. They probably have no idea what real leather smells like. I honestly think it's because I'm plus sized. They have almost no plus size clothing (Uptown has a great plus size section btw). They never told me my clothes stunk when I was a size small. I guess gaining weight just makes you stinky who knows. Sorry I don't douse the clothes and perfume before I bring them in. It's okay I'll just bring it back in 2 days and they will buy half of it like last time. I went with my daughter and sister and had my sister come up to me and ask why two of the employees kept giving me dirty looks. I hadn't even noticed until I turned around and saw it for myself. The fact that it ruined not only my experience it also made my little sister very uncomfortable and we both just wanted to check out and leave was just so upsetting. Workers are very rude and gave me dirty looks as soon as i came in. One girl was nice and helpful but the other three were so rude. They also didn't acknowledge me while i was waiting for ten minutes at the front to get my stuff. They let multiple girls in front of me for no reason. Absolutely terrible customer service and just a toxic environment in general. The girls didn't even bother to look through my bag and instead just lied and said I didn't have anything they could buy. I took the exact same bag to the Plato's in Gainesville and walked out with $75. Avoid this location at all costs! read more

I've been to this location a few times & every time I've gone it's always shitty customer service. The employees never fail to be rude & make you feel like an inconvenience especially when being cashed out. I have shopped this store several times with my teens over the past year. I have not noticed rude employees. I consistently find nice things for my teen boy and nice workout clothes for myself. We do have a harder time finding things there that my middle school girl likes. Occasionally she finds something there she likes. The prices are better than a comparable store nearby. Suggestions: have a petite section. Middle school girls are short! read more

If I could I would give 0 stars. 1. Staff is rude. 2. They will waste your time. They take FOREVER to sort through clothes. 3. They have never taken any of my clothes and always claim it is "out of style". 4. The place smells and I can never seem to get the smell out of the clothes either. HOWEVER in the same shopping plaza is Uptown Cheapstake and they always buy the clothes Platos doesn't take, the store doesn't smell like consignment and they have much higher quality clothing and better prices/sales. I've officially given up on Platos Closet and think everyone else should too when a better option is seconds away. HORRIBLE LOCATION!! By far the worst Platos Closet I've ever been to. As soon as I walked in they had an attitude which was highly unprofessional and uncalled for. If you don't like your job or don't know how to work with customers then you should find employment elsewhere. Currently sitting in my car waiting on my buy to be finished and I know that when its done I definitely will not be returning back to this location. I usually go to multiple locations to sell what I couldn't at the other and and after coming from the Buford location, the service was night and day. The Buford representative told me to stay and shop and even told me about the 70% off sale going on, Cumming told me nothing. Buford actually went through my 3 bags and looked over what they could buy whereas Cumming texted me in 2 minutes (which tells me that they didn't even look at the items). If you are looking to sell your items and have a good experience, please DO NOT go to this location. Truly bottom of the barrel service! read more
