I came here a month ago to sell clothes. One of the girls had a big attitude, she was heavier set and had curly hair :/ sorry I couldn't catch her name. It might've been Tiana. It was very unwelcoming, and I couldn't figure out where the line started to pick up my clothes and money. She gave me an attitude about it and pointed with an attitude. Worst advertisement of a sale ever. Fit as many clothes as you can into a bag for 20$ Sounds like an amazing deal. That's if you can find an item with the tag on it. Because they never put all of the items in one section it's all around the store and it's very sparse too. Probably 3 tags an isle. And the items are so ugly too. So imagine yourself finding a needle in a haystack that's your size that you like amongst 40 other people. read more

I had a really uncomfortable and unwelcoming experience at Plato's Closet today (01/24/26 around 11:00 AM). While I was actively signing in on the tablet to drop off clothes, the employee working at the time (Tiana) asked if I had sold before. I said yes while still typing, and she immediately responded, "Okay, just sign in," even though I was already doing exactly that. After I finished, she said, "Okay, give me your ID," took my bag, and when I said "thank you," she replied with a flat "Yep." The interaction felt cold and dismissive from the start. What really crossed the line was that as soon as I walked away into the next aisle, I heard her talking to coworkers and saying things like, "I don't fucking care if they have nice clothes, I'm not buying any of this shit." Hearing staff speak that way about customers is extremely unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected. I actually returned to the store later the same day around 6:00 PM, and the overall atmosphere wasn't much better. Most of the employees appeared unhappy, disengaged, and like they didn't want to be there, with the exception of one worker who was polite (younger blonde guy with glasses). It gave the impression of poor morale and a lack of management oversight. I shop here often and usually enjoy this location, but this experience genuinely changed my perception. Between the rude interaction and the overall negative environment, I'm hesitant to return. This store seriously needs better staff training, professionalism, and management involvement. read more

Not impressed at all. We dropped off six 30 gallon bags of clothing, which included lots of clothing from Hollister Lululemon, Zara and Bloomingdale's men and women's. As we're filling out the forms online, we overheard the people that work there saying how they were ready to go home and didn't want to check bags anymore. Ironically, we dropped off our bags and within five minutes we received text message that are item for ready to be picked up. We went to pick them up and we were told they didn't want any of them due to high inventory. What amazes me is they could've just told us that it was either too much or bring them back another day but the fact that they went through six 30 gallon bags of clothing in five minutes and then sent us text messages that they were ready to be picked up, leads me to believe that this place is a bit of a joke and it's staff doesn't care. And it's funny all the things that they said that they were looking for are things that we brought in. It was about 5 o'clock when we dropped the bags. read more

Dealt with a rude employee today who was clearly mocking me to her co worker. I came here to drop off a bag of clothes to sell to them, they gave me a wait time of 20 minutes. They said I'd receive a text to let me know it was time to get in line. I was waiting for 25-30 minutes and received no text. I was clearly angry and annoyed as I had other things to do , one of the workers in a snoopy shirt and glasses was mocking my face expression and frustration to her co worker. I decided to take my clothes and bring them elsewhere, I told the girls something and they lied and said they weren't talking about me. All around terrible service and looking at other reviews they aren't pleasant to many people. Get more efficient and kinder employees. read more

I liked the selection and I liked how the clothes were presented. The prices were affordable.

Customer service was very poor and rude. I walked in 12-10 minutes before closing to simply look for some random clothing items for a costume. I wasn't planning to stay any longer than 5 minutes knowing that they're closing soon, but I was welcomed to one employee letting me know that they are closing soon then there was not even a minute later another employee asking me if I was looking for something specific and I said no. She then told me to hurry up and select something before they closed the register while gave me a weird look. I understand it's my bad for coming in late but you can treat people nicer :) read more

I went yesterday night and service was awful. The workers were just staring. We went to the try on section at 8:20 and the workers completely ignored us. My partner had to ask if she can try on clothes and they said the fitting rooms were closed. The store doesn't close for another 40 min. We just left the clothes there for them to put back. When we were leaving, I grabbed my partner hand and the girl at the front gave us a nasty look. On pride month you decide to be homophobic, damn. Every employee had a weird energy. It was not welcoming at all. The second I walked through the door I was met with "have you sold with us before" just like that. Plato's Closet is geared more towards women's clothing, but I did find 3 long sleeve shirts in a span of 5 minutes. I thought the clothes were reasonably priced. I thought its prices were similar to Goodwill, which is a tad more expensive than your run of the mill thrift store. One has to remember though that their clothes are not donations but purchased from patrons. read more

Not very size-inclusive, and I'm totally average, size wise. Seems like their clothes are all a size XS and have weird cutouts or stupid parts attached. The associates are neutral. A bit aloof. Not especially friendly or rude, just there. They do seem a bit rushed. read more

I only say this to bring awareness to other women that are shopping in Plato's. Today I had a weird encounter. Not with the staff but with another customer. I was waiting in line with one item, it was a bit long but I never mind the wait at all. There was a Mexican lady in front of me that had said the same thing "the line is long today" to which I agreed with her. Moments went by & she had asked my opinion on 2 pairs of shoes she picked out. I said they were cute and left it on that note. A couple moments went by and she gestured me to move up the line as the line was moving up. Not any red flags up until this point. Then, she grabbed my arm. To which I was thrown off and hesitated and pulled back. She insisted I go ahead of her because I had only had one item and she had a basket full. It was a nice gesture I would have just preferred she didn't grab me as I didn't know her. It was fine. Then, major red flag she started playing with my hair and pony tail and said "I love you girl, you're going to be a doctor one day and successful". I thought this was extremely off putting and I could tell the girl behind the lady saw that I was uncomfortable. I'm not saying at all it's the staffs fault as they were busy but I just wanted to bring awareness just in case anyone encounters her again. I wouldn't say she was trying to do anything maliciously but I kept an eye out for my phone and my car keys just in case anything happened. read more

A bunch of signs in one section of the store advertising "clearance" without any clear indication of what actually is on "clearance". Very misleading to find that the racks that appear to be designated as "clearance" are not in fact clearance and when brought to the attention of employees how the advertising is very misleading, was met with attitude and poor customer service.
