I've been here a few times to sell my old casual clothing. This location makes it really easy to check-in and drop off your items. They'll then text you as soon as your items are done being evaluated. They'll present you an offer for the items they're interested in and pay you cash if you agree. This place gets busy at times with a lot of shoppers so I'm sure they're always buying to restock their inventory They seem to be mostly looking for denim, purses, athleisure, tees, polos, hoodies and jackets as their clientele consists of mostly teenagers and young adults. They don't pay much for your stuff because their resale prices are pretty low/reasonable, however it adds up if you have a bunch of stuff similar to what they usually sell. Probably one of the most baffling experiences I've had. I brought in clean, name-brand pieces--Free People, Alo, etc.--and the girl told me my clothes were out of style... while wearing a mullet. She also said "you could've cleaned your shoes," meanwhile they tag items at 60-70% off retail, and you only get a third of that. You want me to deep clean them too? For $4? They had racks of neon crop tops and some of the ugliest clothes I've ever seen, and apparently that's what's trending. God bless them, but never again. please don't even bother trying to sell to this store. holyyyy, brought in clothes to sell; brand new/ gently used items and IN STYLE ITEMS they literally just recently had a sale for. my entire bin was given back, it was all rejected for "wear and tear" and "being out of style". I recently brought a large bag full of clothes to this Plato's Closet location for donation/money return, and I have to say, I was quite disappointed with the experience. Surprisingly, they completed the process in less than an hour, which is unusually quick compared to previous visits, even with fewer items. Out of the entire bag, they only accepted two pieces and gave me $5. It was clear they didn't thoroughly go through everything in the bag, as there were untouched clothes still inside when I got it back. It seemed like they were rushing and not giving each item proper consideration. Additionally, I noticed that other customers in line before me also left with almost all of their items, suggesting a similar experience. Watching the staff sort through the clothes, it appeared that their decisions were based more on personal style preferences than objective criteria. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this Plato's Closet location. I've had much better luck at the Euless location, where the process feels more fair and thorough. Also, to note, I was never greeted upon entering the store. I would recommend customer service training for what seemed to be teenagers working at the store. read more

I know most of the reviews say otherwise, but this location was honestly really good. It is a second hand store so of course luck will vary on what you're able to find but the selection of clothes and shoes is fairly good. The staff that helped me were really nice and friendly and I had no problems with them. I've only shopped here and have yet to sell but otherwise I would recommend. read more

I took in over 100 pairs of jeans and thousands of dollars worth of shirts and dresses that were bought at a boutique in Lebanon, Tn that caters to teens and young adults. They kept 6 pairs of jeans. When did teens and young adults stop wearing jeans??? They did not take one shirt or dress. I had two brand new Tommy Hilfiger sweaters that they turned their noses up to. I had a brand new light blue sundress that was exactly like a brown-checked sundress hanging on a rack but mine wasn't good enough. A zero wasn't an option or that is what I would have given this place. Why is establishment letting young and rude children with no fashion sense run this store? read more

These are the rudest customer service people you will ever encounter. I brought back shoes one day later had the visa receipt and could not return them. Their customer service is HORRIBLE, they are ignorant of pricing, ignorant of the owners and manager's that own the store They are rude to almost ever customer . The employees during my last visit was SO RUDE! Very uninterested in being there and curt. Many pieces I saw had stains and rips on them. I just walked in there and got the items I gave them back to see how much they would pay for my name brand items. They took 2 items out of 15 items. They asked for shorts and workout attire. I gave them shorts from nike that were brand new and they didn't take them. Makes me wonder if they even look in the clothes. As well as there are cameras above the clothing room. I asked one my friend who used to work there if they worked and she said yes they do. Next time I went in there I asked if they worked and they smiled and said of course not. Super picky with the clothing pieces and the clothing styles that they post on their Instagram is nothing that you find in the store. They have a couple of good pieces but the clothing items in the store for women are mostly outdated. I brought in Dooney & Burke purses, brand new with tag and gently barely worn American Eagle, Hollister, Abercrombie, & Forever 21 jeans and shorts and they didn't take any of them because they were not high waisted.... not everyone wears high waisted jeans. Many of the pieces of clothing had price tags on them and were bought within this year and they didn't take them either. They said they were looking for other brands. The staff... hit and miss. Well first of all, there's a camera right above the changing rooms. Which is pretty weird in itself. Although the state of Texas allows the use of cameras and recording in dressing rooms, the leeway with that is pretty limited. Other than that, employees can be particularly rude and nasty when asked questions or if forced to do their jobs. Like, I get it. I used to work retail and I still do customer service, (now in the medical field). It's a pretty tiring profession. But that doesn't give you the right to shrug off customers and be generally harsh to them. Other than that, there were a few good employees that work there and were otherwise pretty helpful. They're pretty picky with the clothes they select for buying, which I'm sure is for a good reason (or they like to pick clothes they'd like and buy them after work.) But they also probably have a cap on the amount of inventory they can supply in the store, because of the stores spending budget as well. All in all, it's a good store if you're looking for cheap clothes for a last minute event. read more

When I walked in none of the 5 employees behind the counter greeted me because they were all too busy in their own conversations and it felt like I was bothering them with my presence. I also brought in two full bags of clothing and they were swamped with buys so I understood I would have to wait. So I did and found some cute clothes in the mean time. I asked to use a fitting room and they made me feel like it was an inconvenience to ask. When my buys were ready I approached the counter to pay for my finds and see how much they bought! Well they ended up taking nothing which was frustrating because I had plenty of name brand and plenty of items with tags still attached! I've work in costumer service for years as well as another Plato's Closet out of state in college and its just common human decency to be friendly in this industry. I also understand everyone has bad days but if you don't like working in retail or customer service there are plenty of jobs out there where you don't have to be in front of people! There were two registers open and a lady was waiting in line in front of one, so i waited in front of the other. The lady checking out in my line was taking a while and a line started to appear in front of the other register. Eventually I walk up to check out and the girl goes, "you cant just cut the line". I told her I had been waiting there before the line developed and she just blankly stared at me. All of the workers saw me standing there and chose not to say anything until I tried to check out, very MEAN GIRL behavior. A girl eventually came over with an attitude and said "ill check her out". This one is the closet to my place so I pop in every now and then to see if they have anything appropriate for my 12 year old daughter who is in the sizes they sell. It's very much a hit or miss depending on what they've purchased lately from customers. The store is organized very well so it's not almost impossible to find what you're looking for. They are focused primarily on mid-teen to twenty somethings so it can be difficult to find clothing appropriate for young teens but it can be done. I remember the girls name was Logan. She had me all the way f'd up. I came in with a bin full of brand new clothes, and they took 10 of my shirts. She told me she couldn't take anything else because it was "worn, torn, or stained" and I was like wtf. Everything I had was basically brand new. And I only got $25.24 . Ridiculous. Plus the attitude I got was awful, I work In retail so I know what it's like to have a shit day and go to work, but I'd never have such a bad attitude. They have great clearance sales. Currently they are running 90% off their clearance items. I picked up a Guess leather jacket for $2.50 and a new with original $300 price tag Fossil jacket for $6 the other day. Last clearance sale I got a pair of like new Luchesse cowboy boots for like $10. I only shop there during clearance sales though, so my 5 rating is based on that. Horrible store. Employees do not even greet you upon entrance. Store is a complete mess. Clothing are thrown all over countertops. My wallet was stolen from this location and owner was no help what so ever. You must use to kiosk to enter your DL information, to sell clothes and if you lay anything down by mistake, good luck remembering to pick it up with the mess of clothes thrown on top of the countertops. Not even the cashier noticed anything left behind. They also offer you pennies on your trendy undamaged items. The manager stated that the owner needed a police report to view the footage and once I had received the police report they then stated that only a police office could view the footage. The detective was just as unhelpful as the manager. Please save your time and do not go to this location read more

Sure enough, worst customer service experience. 4 girls hanging out behind the counter with a nearly empty store and not helpful. This location is only welcoming if you are white or appear to have money. If you sell your items they assume you have stolen it. I came in to sell my items and waited for them to tell me they were done. Then they asked my for my id. Which I felt like I didn't have to show it, since I didn't go anywhere. My experience here was the best out of all the Plato's closets that I've been to. They were pretty busy when I came in so I entered my info and dropped my clothes off. Not much talking and down to business, which is what I prefer. My phone had died so I wasn't able to receive the pickup message when they were done but I left to get coffee, came back and my clothes were ready at right about the estimated time. They bought a lot of my items, I was very pleased. Will be returning in the future the next time I have items to sell.
