Sadly been coming here for decades, and wont anymore. Recently bought a Coach purse from here, as I have bought many and it was later deemed to be a counterfeit and not authentic. I reached out via email and tried to call and got no response. Finally sent a text and basically was told too bad. Never got a clear answer about authentication processes. They clearly are okay tagging items as authentic when not. Anyone who does thrifting/restoration of mid range or high end purses should avoid here for your own good. ONLY store I have came across that does not welcome back bags and refunds for situations like this. Many shops down in the Haight district also have strict no return policies but take situations like this seriously and have always been not only grateful it was brought to their attention, but remedy the whole transaction. Recommend going down to the city or just avoiding it for the sheer fact their customer service is trash. Saw this place as I was having dinner across the street and checked it out. I love thrifting and totally love the concept of this store. My daughter and I found some great finds. I love that they had a number of fitting rooms, as most thrift stores don't, and they had a great bag selection. There was a large number of items in the store, so you definitely have to have patience, but I am looking forward to checking out other locations. Customer service was good, I appreciated that they hold items at the register under your name while you shop because there were no baskets at all. Prices were reasonable. They have a lot of great finds, but you need a few hours to look around. Some items are very much worth the price but a lot are a little too high for the condition of the clothes, I noticed this time around that some clothes in poor condition are priced at way more than their value just because they are "name brand". I've sold clothes here in the past & in my experience you get a reasonable amount for the items they purchase. The employees are helpful & I did interact with them constantly as I kept having to go back to the dressing rooms to try on clothes. read more

This is my go to place for jeans and shorts! It's getting a little harder to find jeans that aren't entirely ripped because I don't want every pair I own to look the exact same & I'm above the "target age" of customer base. I love that you can try on their clothes opposed to other second hand stores. The customer service could improve tremendously but I usually stick to myself or with whom ever I'm shopping with so it doesn't matter until I need a question answered or something that's out of reach. I've never sold anything there based on what others have said on their experience. I'd rather pass my clothes onto someone who needs them than make a few bucks. read more

The people working have ZERO customer service skills. The curly haired hispanic girl is extremely rude and in a bad mood everyday. I also ask for details on how to cash back works and she can't answer anything for the day they are having a promo. Anybody working that day should be able to answer basic questions. I have seen them make fun of people who enter the store and it feels like walking into High School. They post clothes on instagram and then don't actually put those items on the floor. The clothes here were really nice and in style. Most of the employees were kind and happy to help. However, this place was a little more in the expensive side. I am not exaggerating when I say this is the nicest and most organized Plato's I've been to. I came here to sell some of my stuff, and I attempted not to buy any of the stuff that they had. They had a ton of Miss Me and True Religion jeans which were organized meticulously by brand, size, and color. In fact, everything in the store was organized to some degree, whether it be by color, style, or sizing. I've been to Plato's Closets where things are just thrown all over and it's so hard to find stuff. I was so impressed I had to tell the girl that was working how I loved the way they organized their location. They ended up buying a lot of my stuff and I made a little under $100. If I am ever back in the area, I will totally stop at this location just to see what they have in store. read more

The store is somewhat small compared to the size you see from the outside. I think they could organize it better to make it flow better. The staff is very talkative. As a customer I come into the store and really don't want want to here about other employees and managers from that store and other stores. Let's just say the drama in the few minutes that I dropped off some clothes to get an estimate is about an hours worth of watching a Bachelorette/bachelor Show. I've never tried to sell at this location, mainly because I don't live in the area. I only go here to shop. It's a large store, to me. I came in with a laundry basket of clean, new, and barely worn clothing. They told me to wait up to two hours for them to go through the items and select ones they would purchase. That's okay. Two hours go by and my items are ready for pick up. They purchase only 3 of the numerous items, which were brand new and being sold for 20x what they paid me. I got a total of $5.97 for clothing i could've gifted instead. Dont support these greedy bastards. read more
