Visited for the first time today. We enjoyed it very much. I would give 5 stars but there's no dressing room, which I think would improve sales. That said the prices are great and hey if something doesn't fit, you're not losing much and you can likely just pass it on or re-donate. Your also supporting a great cause. Hospice is a service, that has been there for my family more than once. Nurses, etc. who do that job are angels on earth. That said, in the store today, the cashier we encountered very kind and happy guy, whose positive energy was spreading through the store. Two lady workers I encountered were very nice. One was extra helpful. Great 80's music was playing, which I enjoyed. Lots of quality, interesting and clean items. Nice size store. We found it because we went to Trader Joe's next door, which shares the parking lot. Will be back to shop and donate as well. read more

I used to love coming here but it's not a "thrift" store anymore. It's more like an antique store, which I can find even better prices at an antique store! A very small, dingy, busted cabinet was 50 dollars because they put the word "rustic" in front of cabinet. I went to rehome down the street and found one in much better shape for 20. If they are going to be a thrift store and advertise as such, then their prices should reflect that. read more

We enjoyed this Thrift Shop! All their houseware items were so clean and well labeled. We lucked into a discount on all " blue tags" that day, which made exploring even more fun! Thank you to all the workers at this store who make the store so nice. read more

Such an unfriendly store. The clerks are all grumpy and seem to hate people. I was about to try on and buy a couple of items of clothing, but they won't let you try anything on (they have no fitting room), and yet don't permit exchanges or returns. I'm amazed that anyone would buy anything here. Pick of the Litter, a lovely thrift shop run by a feline rescue nonprofit is only a 2 minute-drive away. They're so much cleaner, with better selections, much better prices (and fitting rooms!) compared to this depressing place. read more

There is a pair of women who work here who were very unpleasant and unprofessional. They were flippant to a coworker and talked about them behind their back and talked about screaming at children when they have meltdowns in the store. Luckily the mother whose child was crying didn't hear them. I was shocked because normally everyone is very friendly! read more

Sutters two thrift stores in Santa Rosa represent better quality second hand items than most others in Sonoma County. Both pricing and selection are top notch. I have acquired some pretty cool things at both locations. I really like this particular location by Trader Joe's (which will reopen soon!) I really like shopping at Sutter Hospice. The program benefitted my family years ago so I try to donate items to them when I can. I found several records that would fit into my family's collection nicely. Having just been at their other location across the freeway they did not honor the sale price that I had received at the other location. Not going to complain as it's still a great deal. It seems that this location has a little nice/gentlier used items for sale. The woman working the register needed a little guidance on the how to ring up. But she was very pleasant to speak with. read more

The selection and pricing here is so-so. But the employees at the register are so incredibly rude. I feel like I don't want to ask to see anything in the case because they act very inconvenienced and annoyed if you ask them anything. I get the impression that they just want to sit and read and can't wait for us all to get the hell out of the store. read more

This is my favorite thrift store. It's got great items for great prices. Clothes, household decor, plates, silverware, seasonal decor, crafts, kids stuff, shoes, furniture etc. There's parts that are disorganized but that's part of the fun of thrifting. They have the best decorations here during Christmas time. I've never had a negative experience with the staff. Parking is terrible but that's only because Trader Joe's (they are next door) parking lots are always cramped. No bathroom but you can go next door if you need to. Overall I've found amazing gems at this store and it's very affordable! Donating is easy as well but you have to go before their bin is full. read more

Good thrift store with wide variety of items, and decent prices. Good place to look for quality purses. Really wish they would re-open the dressing room though. I don't know how they can expect to sell clothing if one cannot try it on? They are losing business by not having a dressing room. read more

I stopped here the other day and found their selection of clothes for women and children to be decent, with some fun finds in their accessories. Small selection of furniture. I was looking for dresses and costume items and thought the prices on these things was reasonable. Store was clean, well lit and the staff were professional during my visit. I didn't find anything I had to buy on this trip, but I would come here again. read more

Overpriced (as high as online shopping & even more expensive then Goodwill), unfriendly, and the staff lied about their sales. The clothes are not washed, and have stains and rips and in poor quality. They charge full price for broken cheap furniture. I also noticed a bug problem and I'm worried there might be bedbugs on some of their merchandise and especially the clothing. Honestly I was really disappointed with this Thrift store. I'm not sure how they are not shut down already. I will not be back :( read more

Pretty junky. Sloppy layout and display. I've been in uglier thrift shops, but I've also seen much nicer ones in Sonoma county. Smells okay. Prices for clothes are typical thrift shop, almost free. I haunt thrift shops for vinyl Lp records. They had a stack of 120. I bought 4. At 80 cents each they're a bargain. Would probably not recommend this shop except for women's clothes. You may find a diamond in the piles of crap. read more

Found some really neat stuff, not junk mind you, really great stuff. Everything I bough was something I had been looking for and it was so cheap too. This was the cleanest and best organized thrift joint I've seen in Santa Rosa and the staff was friendly to boot. Great place that I never knew was there. When I went there the had a Baby Grand Piano in great shape for $800, amazing! They had a small section of furniture but everything was clean and well cared for. Some things labeled "antique" or as I overheard the manager say "that is a retro looking bookcase" are so ridiculously overpriced that even in a consignment or resale antique shop they'd be priced way above their value. Things are well organised though and it's lacking that old musty scent that some thrift stores have. Over all 3 stars in my book. Nothing to write home about or make a special trip for, but stop in if you're getting groceries at trader joes and you may find a prize. read more

Selling "antique" items (do items from the 70's count?) that are falling apart and charging $500 when the furniture clearly needs refinishing and has cracks and water damage....I asked one of the ladies working the store if the item had been marked wrong and she snarkily responded that if I wanted something cheaper I should go to Target! (Well, at least the items at Target are priced according to quality!!!) steer clear from this place if you are looking for furniture in good condition at a decent price! read more

This Revue comes 1 month after my previous Revue. The over inflated..above market pricing straategy continues. Many items are present...unsold..over a month later. This creates stagnant inventory..& does not tempt regular shoppers to buy. Many competing Thrift stores feature daily % off marked inventory. This store does not even offer a senior discount 1x weekly as most other stores offer. Their selection of used good does not merit a higher price point. Adjacent to the parking lot are areas of dirt without appealing plantings or flowers...just bare dirt. These small features say volumes about the lacking attention to detail present at this store. Why are the first few parking spaces in front of the store always filled with 2 large delivery/pick up trucks ? These should be BLUE HANDICAPPED PARKING PLACES. One competing Thrift store features a "Wheel of Fortune" where the purchaser spins the wheel for possible discounts. This might be a good strategy for Hospice to utilize. Please "Spice up the Mix" ..& create new customer interest. read more
