You know you are having one those days when you come in to work and don't notice the giant hole in the seam of your pants in that special area that only your one night stands have seen. Luckily The Funky Monkey (actual name of the store - emailed yelp to get it changed) was there to save the day (and a sexual harassment suit). Racks and racks of great second hand items. Everything is organized by color so it makes it easy to find something you are looking for. Today (and possibly lots of other days) everything in the store was 25% off! Made my purchase that much more exciting. Items range from super cheap to expensive (as there are some name brand items in here). I have been a consigner and buyer at Zoe's for the past few years. They have the most beautiful, unique, funky finds in town. I have really made a lot of good "side" money from trading my clothes in, as well as my children's. I have found beautiful gifts for girlfriends, clients, and siblings there. If you enjoy eclectic, bohemian, gypsy/sexy type clothes, shoes, handbags, jewelry....than this place is for you. I ALWAYS get compliments on the pieces I wear from Zoe's, and my youngest daughter looks like she's got pretty little girl boutique clothes on, even though they came from Zoe's consignment store! :) LOVE this place. I consign at Zoe often. I pretty much always have clothing/jewelry there at any given moment. I tried finding places online to sell my clothes at, and found this one. I was turned off by the idea that there was kids' clothes there, so I skipped it. Then, I was down on that street at another (lame) consignment store, and saw some cute stuff at Zoe and realized that I almost missed it! So, I went in, they took a bunch of my stuff and I even found a few great items I still have!! Everyone is super nice there, and there are really cute clothes at good prices. Not always designer stuff, but definitely cute stuff. The 4 stars is because sometimes, I am in love with everything and sometimes, I don't really see anything I like. The first time I went to Zoe, a consignment shop with women's and children's clothing where nothing hints of being used and everything is super quirky-cute, I exclaimed to everyone for the next 72 hours that I found my new favorite store. First off, there seems to be a perpetual sale -- sometimes it's 50%, other times 25%, but a sale's always a good thing. And even if there wasn't a sale, almost all of their stuff is reasonable. Second, all the clothing inside are organized by color. The obsessive compulsive in me that likes to color code my own closet was ecstatic at the organization. Third, since it's a consignment shop, nothing in there was a fashion I'd seen anywhere else. Not in a Macy's, not in Gap, not in a catalog. Everything is unique. The draw back? If you find that perfect shirt then they might not have it in your size. There's pretty much just one of everything. Their redemption? Bring in your own quirky-cute clothes and you can get cash or a discount on your purchase. read more

At first glance, the store carries lots of cute items, including brand names. But the service? The owner is a bit psychotic. I made some purchases which in retrospect I realized did not sit well and called to ask if I could return or at least get store credit. The woman said no. When I suggested that she include her return/exchange policy on the receipt and mention it at the time of purchase, she said that she always does (not true). When I said that I had returned to the store earlier and tried to exchange the items, I found it closed, which was annoying because now it was too late. She didn't even to hear me out, but proceeded to hang up on me. Terrible, terrible service. So much for making your customers happy read more

Zoe's is hit or miss. I found a fabulous Kate Spade purse here about a year ago, and lots of Seven Jeans for a screaming deal... other days, they stuff isn't as grand. I came in Saturday and paid $5 for a cute corderoy jacket, and another 5 for a fantastic sweater and found an awesome sundress, but felt $72 was way too much for it. (maybe if it's still there when it makes it way to the clearance rack...) For the most part, things are well organized, and I love 90% of the items she has for consignment. The woman behind the counter first told me everything in the store was an additional 20% off.. however when I paid, and after I left, I realized both of my items were not additionally marked down. This store is very unique I like the items they Carry and could easily spend a ton of money here..if it wasn't for the non existent customer service. I have visited this store in total around 3 times and all three times I didn't get so much as a hello or welcome in...each time there was a blonde women working there assuming that she is the owner..just at the front desk with her head down and each time this lost my business and I will not be going back and will steer clear my peers of this boutique because of it. If you don't have the decency to greet your customers then you certainly don't deserve our business! read more

NEGATIVE STARTS!!! I JUST HAD THE MOST NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE AT ZOE'S AND I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO SERIOUSLY THINK TWICE BEFORE SHOPPING OR SELLING YOUR CLOTHES THERE. I had been a consignee and buyee and Zoe's Clothing at for a few years ago, but the last time I went in the woman who owns the store was obviously having a breakdown. She couldn't find my paperwork in that tattered binder, and then couldn't understand why her employees didn't mark out that they had apparently paid me, OBVIOUSLY NOT MY PROBLEM OR FAULT. Clothing I had on consignment was not marked sold or not sold. It was very confusing. The woman was having a breakdown, proceeded to cry and tell me her boyfriend was having problems with her, that the landlord was charging her $3000 which was too much for the rent, that she had mortgaged part of her house to keep the store open. I felt for her, obviously she is suffering. I smiled and felt compassionate and empathized with how hard this time had been. And I as a customer wanted to know what had sold and what I was due, since I was also there as a customer and not there to be her therapist. She was so discombobulated she couldn't figure it out so we went through it together which is above and beyond the call of customer duty. I left with $5 and an understanding of what was left in their inventory - not an abnormal request. Today I went in to see where things were at. The same woman (with blonde hair) was obviously still having a major emotional breakdown. She attacked me out of left field, in front of other customers as soon as I came up to the counter with my purchases and told me she was paying me out for all my clothes because I had been responsbile for discombobulating her numbers, and told me not to come back to the store. THE NERVE! She was unkind, rude, irresponsible, ACTED UNPROSSIONAL and clearly not business minded at all. Although she admitted she was responsible for how she manages her business she couldn't take responsibilty for how she managed her books in her decision making process with me, or that she hadn't marked out that she had paid me last time, again attributing the blame to me. Extremely irresponsible and unprofessional. Then she started in that she had Lyme's disease and that she was sick. I told her amidst her blaming me for her lack of accounting efficacy, that I was sorry about that, but that I couldn't to take responsibility for her mismanagement or her lack of integrity in handling things and that if she had been able to keep track of things, then I would not have had to step in, and that she was making a big mistake. She just didn't care to be accountable for her own mistakes. She was extremely passive aggressive in her customer dealings with me. Many people have complained to me about her attitude and I have told them to be kind to her and give her another chance because I felt generous, but apparently this woman has a lot of problems and she just needed someone to dump on today. She crossed the line and admitted that maybe she would regret that in the future. THERE ARE OTHER PLACES FAR MORE PROFESSIONAL WHERE YOU CAN SELL YOUR CLOTHES AND BE TREATED WITH RESPECT, INTEGRITY, AND KINDNESS. I HAD BEEN NOTHING BUT KIND AND HEARTFUL WITH THIS WOMAN AND SHE WAS SO LOST SHE DID NOT KNOW WHO HER ENEMY WAS TODAY, CLEARLY NOT ME. read more

I used to consign here a lot a few years back and I had no issues. But this time around was not a pleasant experience. I'd have to start off and agree with one of the other reviewers and say the owner is indeed a bit psychotic, she always seems a little nutty and unorganized. Let me first start by saying that my mom has consigned here. She had some stuff on her account and came back a few months later to see if she had any money on it, only to find out someone claimed to come in being my mom, took all the money from the account, said we were leaving town and closed it. THEY DON'T ASK FOR ID OR ANYTHING! They don't even give you any sort of confirmation papers saying you have an account there, so it'd be really easy for the people working there to take advantage of that and take money. I know it's a small business, but thats still very sketchy to me. Anyways I went in there to drop some shoes off, one of the pairs were these Jeffrey Campbell litas that I got in Italy. The time I bought them they were 200 dollars. She saw them and said she'd love to have them in the shop. I should've asked at the time what she was thinking of pricing it, but I didn't. I came back a week later to see the owner put them up priced 30 bucks. I'd only wore them once or twice so they're in really good condition. There are other high priced items in there, so I didn't see why they couldn't put them in a bit of a higher range. I told the other lady who worked there if she could ask the owner to price them up a bit more, so we could BOTH get a good amount from them. She seemed very nice and put them aside for me to ask later. I came back in today, a few weeks later to see if they had changed the price and see if anything sold. The owner said I didn't even have an account with them... I was like "what?? I just saw you a few weeks ago and you recognized me", I mean she knows who I am I stop by in there a lot. So that kind of confused me. She ruffles through her stuff and then goes to the back and brings out a bag of all my shoes and clothes, telling me she doesn't want to sell them here anymore. I didn't mind that, but it caught me off guard. I had walked to the store from home and didn't expect to be lugging around a giant bag full of shoes which were heavy. I asked if I could come back in an hour and told her how I walked from home and wasn't expecting this, and she said "Uh, really." I just stood there and then she said, "No I'm not going to do that for you, everyone always forgets to get their stuff, you can go put them in the back of my store by the trash cans." Talk about sassy and rude. I wouldn't treat my customers like that. Something weird seems to be going on in there. Definitely not going back there ever again. I would suggest you don't either, at least consignment wise. They might end up taking your money! Hell to the NO. Lol. read more

i am seriously in some deep trouble. i came here over the weekend after farmer's market. not realizing that enchante is no longer there, and zoe clothing just relocated to the same store.. i figured i would just browse. that was until i started checking out the prices on some of the clothes. $15 dress! $12 shirt! $52 "A" pocket jeans (in my size!!) i'm stoked. they also carry a small assortment of new clothing, which are crazy cute. does anyone know where to get grass jeans? they had a super cute pair.. in one-size-too-small. so bummed. but SO excited to go back. read more

They stopped carrying mens clothes but I still recommend this place to my female friends. Always good to check out because new items are constantly moving through this store at unbeatable prices. You can also take in your clothes and get %40 of the selling price in cash; in today's day these rates are an endangered species (try and get that at Buffalo Exchange or Plato's Closet). read more

I waos looking for a specific item of clothing today and I saw what I could have used at Zoe. It was a wife-beater style t-shirt in a kind of flowery/camo print. I couldn't understand thugh why a used t-shirt had a $30 PRICE TAG on it. I was hoping it was an old tag but no, the salesgirl said its not used its new. So they mix up their used & new clothing on the same rack without letting the customers know this. When I said it was a perfectly good t-shirt for $15 the salesgirl YELLED at me " YEAH, IF YOU WANT TO GET IT AT WALMART WHERE EVERTHING THEY HAVE IS SUBSTANDARD". Way to make me want to shop in your store, litlte girl. And BTW? Everything I ever bought at Walmart is still intact and functional and I feel a lot more welcome shopping there. This store USED TO be a great consignment shop - hence some great reviews from the past. Please pay attention to the most current reviews for a truer picture of what the customer experience is. I've consigned with this shop for 7+ years, seen it go from a fun shop to a grueling experience to shop. Yesterday was - sadly - my last visit. I brought a bag of items in for possible consignment. Several items were new, tags still on. The woman at the counter was talking, loudly on the phone. I just wanted to make eye contact, to let her know I was present. She turned her back on me & continued a very personal conversation with what sounded like an event planner - for her & a partner. This went on for several minutes - to the point of flowers, caterer, venue, etc. being discussed. Another customer, who was present when I arrived came over & asked me if I had even acknowledged me, I said I wasn't sure...hoped so. The counter person NEVER told the person on the phone that she had customers in the store and needed to go/call them back, etc. Eventually (almost 10 minutes in) she finally thanked the caller for calling her & offered to send a link to them for the venue. It seemed very clear this was a call for a personal issue. When she finally did turn to me, I said that I noticed she seemed pretty busy, but wondered if she might have time to look at some consignments. She told me to "back up and set my bag over there" so she could ring up the other customer. I had no problem - or even question of letting the purchasing customer go first - just wanted to make certain the clerk had seen me & had time to look at my things. I backed away to give her time to catch up, and looked around the store. I returned to the counter after several minutes & I noticed that my bag had not moved - or even been looked into. My own knotted ribbon on the handle had not been touched. She curtly said that her "boss had told her to be really picky about what she was accepting & I had "nothing worth taking." I buy/sell from a number of consignment shops, I am certainly used to having some items accepted, some turned away. I am not used to what came next. She asked what else I wanted...since I had seen three other customers come and go during her extended phone chat, I thought perhaps her involvement in her own event planning had blinded her from the job she is paid to do. There was one other customer at this time, so I said in a lower voice, that yes, she could do better with her customer service. She did NOT want to hear any of my comments, said she did not care & it was none of my business (in spite of it being EXACTLY that - a business, & one could not help hearing her EP phone planning session). I asked if she was the owner - she said no. Could I speak with the owner, she said no. Would the owner be in later, she said no. In the next day - she said she could not tell me. Ok, I admit, at that point, I was tired of playing 20 questions just to find out how to contact the owner. I asked if there was a phone# to leave a message for the owner, she said no. Could I email the owner - she said she did not have an email. She began defending her phone conversation by saying that "in fact, one of those calls actually WAS the owner". Hmm, if no email or #, where was she going to send that link to the venue... & do I really believe for a second that the owner would have kept talking knowing that there were customers in (& leaving) her store? This is where I draw the line, when one chooses to lie to me to defend their own bad behavior. I asked for the number for the STORE so that I could call back later & talk with the owner. She said she did not have that! No business card, did not know the number of where she worked, in spite of JUST "talking with her boss". This was really getting ridiculous. She was now loud and surly - and started saying "you need to leave now, I am feeling harassed by you". Really? Harassed perhaps because she realized that a customer might actually tell her boss how well she was running the store? I began to leave when mentioned that she had not yet checked my balance. She said "how could I, I don't even know your name". I said, "EXACTLY - you never even asked". I had to again ASK her to please check my account. This was not holding up any other customers. When she found my account, she thrust the book in front of me saying "SEE - you have NOTHING on the books - you haven't even been in since late September!" It is sad that the owner has given over her store to an out of control clerk - worse that I could find no way to let the owner know. I hope others who do shop there, let the owner know of their experience. It seems so odd that people waste a LOT of YELP space about the great service they had - when it should be expected. It is nice to comment on a specific, extra helpful employee. But it is imperative that customers let owners know when a situation has gone out of control. It can cost the owner their business. read more

Incredibly disappointed in the customer service I received here. I purchased a skirt during their 20% off sale. I tried it on and it seemed to fit, so I brought it up to the counter. I later realized, the item was never discounted and I was charged full price. At no point did the cashier let me know that they have no return or exchange policy, which is absolutely ridiculous. Once I actually got home and tried on the skirt, I realized that it is actually much too long for me, and I can't walk without tripping over it. I brought it back to the store with the tags still attached, receipt in hand, and was told "absolutely no returns". This is not stated anywhere on the receipt. When I told the cashier that it had never even been worn, she said there's nothing she can do, and told me to call when the owner was there. Upon reading these reviews, she seems like the last person I want to call. I'm incredibly frustrated, and stuck with an expensive skirt I can't wear. I will not shop here again. read more

I recently discovered this treasure while waiting for an appointment with my Osteopath next door. I definitely have to go back when I have more time. It is very well organized and tastefully decorated. I find consignment clothing shops are usually a mess. Not this one! I did not even realize was consignment at first. So many cute things. Much like a store filled with colorful candies, the owner Bonnie displays her wares in a way which makes me seek that special treasure hidden amongst the color coded racks. I LOVE THIS STORE!!! I have been selling, buying, and trading my clothing at Kid Exchange and Zoe Women's Clothes for almost 12 years now, and have never had a problem or complaint. The prices are reasonable, and the merchandise unique. I love when you walk into a mom and pop store and instantly feel welcomed and appreciated for your business. I have came across many great buys, and also have made lots of money selling my old clothing.
