I called to inquire about this insane fee, because I had never heard of anything like this before, and was greeted by the owner who was incredibly rude on the phone and insisted that it's a waste of time to let people try on shoes without buying them. I asked how long it might take to try on shoes and he told me "up to 15 minutes" - So, to recap, this is $20 for 15 minutes of his time. I wanted to ask if you still get charged $20 if you intend on buying a pair of shoes but don't like the fit, style or simply change your mind - but he hung up on me. There are plenty of leather shops and cobblers in the surrounding areas that deserve your business more than this place. I brought in a leather bag recently to see if they could repair a small rip. Instead of attempting to fix it, they simply told me that it would be better if I didn't repair it as it would cause more damage. Usually, you would expect them to repair it, and regardless of the final results, they will still find a way to make money off of you. This honesty thing is important these days. I would feel at ease to bring other items for them to repair.

My sandals didn't need extensive repairing, the leather strap had just separated and I didn't trust myself in glueing it back together. They did this job flawlessly and in a timely manner.
