I'm passing through and needed to do some laundry. After reviewing Yelp reviews, I chose Clothes Quarters. They didn't disappoint. The machines are newer, and they have a *gasp* actual human present should anything go awry. The last time I used a laundromat when traveling the washing machine wouldn't open to let me get my clothes. There wasn't anyone on premises, and the phone number posted was worthless. I was told I would have to wait hours before a technician could get there. Trust me, if you're traveling, and need to wash some clothes, you couldn't find a better place. I don't use a laundromat at home, but if I lived here and needed to do laundry this place would absolutely be my choice. read more

I thought the place was clean and I did not notice any smell. A few folks were busy washing and drying and folding, but there were still plenty of available machines to choose from. Clothes Quarters does accept quarters. They also use an app and while I appreciate "winning the jackpot" as I convert at $10 to quarters, I'd much rather use an app so that I'm not filling my coin holder with extra coins. The app was easy to register and use on the washer but they don't use it for dryers. I though I was stuck losing $15 in credit. Not to worry - I sent an email inside the app requesting a refund and it was processed within a day or two. The laundromat is clean and tidy. There is free wifi and there are places to sit while you watch your clothes go round and round. They do sell detergent but I had stopped at the Dollar Tree up the street for a big bottle. Best place to do laundry in the winooski/burlington area I've been going here for about six months now and it's always been a breeze

The owner (I assume, seemed like big boss man in charge) assaulted me outside this business. Why? Because I took a coupon I got from a church back from his desk. Because it was MY coupon for 2 loads washed + dried, and he was too cheap to allow me to finish drying my clothes, although I (and the church who pays him for the coupon) had paid for the service. This dude had the balls (and brainrot?) to accept payment, refuse service, and then flip out when I take back MY coupon to use elsewhere. He stole payment by not doing the job he was paid to do (dry clothes, not make customers leave with wet clothes) so I refused to give him my coupon or the church's money. But he calls the cops on ME. Then when I leave he follows me out and rips me by my backpack from behind down to the sidewalk to wrestle me. Loser.​ read more

I was trying to think of how to rate this place. Let's start with the what it is: self service wash, dry, fold. They also have an Internet cafe and offer services for uhaul. No problem with multitasking the hustle. So still 5 stars. I get in, I download an app and load money to wash. I start to use the washers that were bigger because I had bed sheets, comforters, etc. one washer was 14.50, two were 10.25, and one was 5.75. The 5.75 one I washed 4 towels sets (bath sheet, hand towel, wash cloth = 1 set x 4) and felt is was sufficiently full. Now I took a star off for these prices. This is insane. I've used coin laundry in Manhattan and Atlanta that were cheaper than this. I mean this is an actual racket! But fine it washed. The little app notified me my clothes were ready which was perfect because I set in my car. Covid is still real. From there I go to dry. Here's where they lose another star: do you know the drying is quarters only. I feel bamboozled. You pulled me in with this app to wash and now I have to figure out how to dry? I had eight random dollars in my car thank god. Because guess what the other option was? To use one of their high priced atms. I can get the atm fee reimbursed but here's the thing: I almost never use my debit card out and about because scammers. So they lost a star because I had to scrounge up money to dry my clothes and hopefully the short time span I paid 2.00 to dry with will actually get the job done . I spent my last few bucks on the dry and from there folded, packed up, and left. TL;DR: The dryer and atm issue together feel like a set up. The people working seem like nice people, to be clear; but at these prices I may as well just do a laundry service-- which I will from now on. read more

this is an excellent laundromat! the place is light, clean, neat. there are laundry products to purchase, a soda machine, snack machine. plenty of places to sit, laptops to rent, a small cafe area. Machines were all functional and there was a good choice of sizes for washers and dryers. we usually only use a laundromat for washing and drying our oversized king comforter, but this will be our go-to place from now on! read more

This place is always clean, all units seem to operate with none out of order, and the owner is almost always on site. You have the option of using an app to pay or cash (app for drying only seems to be for larger dryers but no biggie). There is a nice little place to sit and relax while waiting and a small "business area". I really appreciated this location as many of the others in the area were filthy, sketchy, and had machines that were broken. The price is a bit higher than others but well worth every penny. I was in the area for business for 5 months and never had an issue there. This owner certainly takes pride in his establishment and it shows. I even saw him dusting the small nooks that most places would never consider cleaning. read more

We stopped here since our hotel didn't have a laundry area. It is very clean and convenient and the dryers work fast. However, the washing machine left our clothes very wet - almost dripping. Since I hang dry some of my clothes, it's a problem. Secondly, we lost several quarters to both the washer and the dryer. The quarters went in (heard them drop), but they didn't show on the screen. Didn't stress when it happened in the washing machine, but when it happened with the dryer too, I spoke to the attendant. He opened up the coin area and showed me they weren't stuck. I tried to explain the problem again, but he dismissed me. I also showed him how wet my clothes were, but he just kept saying it wasn't possible because there machines were so good. I go the laundry mat once a year if I'm lucky and that's to wash my king size blanket at the end of winter. I've had the same experience twice at this place so I'm leaving a review so others can beware. With that said, this is a nice facility as Laundromats go so I'm sure this place would be fine to do you wash yourself. As for me I've spent enough time in laundromats and now choose to drop off/pick up these days. The website advertises drop off service and actually has prices listed for items like my king size blanket; it's $22 which seems reasonable. Every time I go to this place the owner/attendant is nowhere to be seen and you have to ring a bell to have him come out from a back room with tinted widows, which always seems weird to me. Each time I've gone, he makes it seem like dropping off is such an abnormal and inconvenient thing for him and he tries to convince me to do it myself. Again, this is a service they advertise on the website very clearly encouraging people to do this. He then goes on and on about how big the blanket is; dude you are in the laundry service, have you never seen a king size blanket before? I can take that kind of bs but today he tried to charge me more than double ($48) and said it was because it was so big and had to use a special machine. There is literally nothing on their website that comes close to that price, even the largest down sleeping bag or rug, so he was just charging me because he didn't want to do it. I'm sure he will be happy to see this review and my advice to you all, which is to stay away from this place for anything other than a "sit and wait" kind of laundromat or if you are looking for good customer service. read more

Has TVs to watch while you're waiting and computers to rent time on if needed. Here's the best part...the man who runs it is actually here taking care of the business during hours! Our washing machine broke and we couldn't get a repairman out for 4-5 days. We found this laundromat with good reviews on google. Very clean, a lot of machines available, available sitting areas with TV's. We grabbed sushi down the road and ate at the bar top in the laundromat while we waited. Easy experience. Cleanest, nicest, well run laundry I have ever been in. The owner was extremely friendly and welcoming. We drove over 50 miles to bring our dirty camping clothes and sleeping bags. The other reviewers were right and we were glad we drove to this place. We had a very scenic drive and the laundry mat were both worth it. The internet and coffee bar are a fantastic touch and helped make the place feel less industrial and more relaxing. I imagined a grungy, dirty, run down dump like the places I used in college. This place was more like a coffee bar that has a laundry mat. Possibly the cleanest laundromat I've ever used. New, clean, very-modern washers and dryers. Feels very safe with security cameras all over and the friendly owner seems to work there in-person while it's open. Okay prices, I've paid less at dirtier places, but you gotta make a choice what's important to you. I have compact laundry machines at home but they're not good for huge loads of heavy towels or king-sized bedding and comforters, so I've got to take those items out to a laundromat with oversized machines. This place has the huge 60 lb+ washers and dryers! It's like $9+ for a that load... but it saves a lot of time too. Definitely recommend. read more

This is a pretty clean and well maintained laundry Mat as far as laundry mats go. They do have working change machines, soap and detergents for purchase and several TVs to watch when your tired of watching your laundry go round and round. My only gripe would be the way the owner makes you feel like shyt when you ask for change for a $20. He makes it seem like you should just "get $20 of quarters" instead of asking for a ten and two fives. Other than that, it's decent. Enjoy! read more

No one was here when we got here, needles all over in the parking lot, and the bathrooms aren't public. $10 for the big load and the other laundromat have prices as low as $4.50-$5 for the big loaders. The air quality also sucks as it smells like mildew and sewage when you walk in. A worker finally started walking around an hour after we got here (first one I saw, so probably hiding in the back office), and started moving carts, including the cart that was clearly right next to me because "it was blocking paper towels" when anyone with eyes and a single brain cell could figure out to reach over or around the metal bar. There's also no signs posted about where you can and can't sit or where you can and can't put the carts. As far as I know no one is a f***ing mind reader. There is no free Wi-Fi unless you have an xfinity account. The worker was rude and tried talking down to myself and my partner with poor manners and a "holier than thou" attitude. Definitely do not recommend. Prices are outrageous as I stated above and I'll post a photo below. Definitely not worth spending the money here, pay an extra dollar or two in gas and go to a different laundromat, where people are nicer or no one is there to be rude to you. Up to 10.75 for the big load here when you push other buttons. Please heed my warning. Not worth the money!!! read more

I never imagined I would be reviewing a laundromat, but this one surely deserves it. I thought dingy, grimey, questionably clean was the only option, pffff I was wrong. If you, like me, are forced to resort to the laundromat trust me that this is by far the BEST in so many ways. I drove from Burlington to check it out after being disgusted by my last laundry day in Burlington. SO glad I did and I will be returning for as long as my lack of in home laundry requires. Quick rap of highlight here -I was GREETED with a kind hello upon walking in the door (that's a first) and so was every single person that walked in that door after me. YES! I LOVE IT! -That person that greeted me is working here and not hating life because of it. Super friendly and helpful and really nice to know that if a machine starts consuming your coins someone is close by to help you out. #winning -The price is right. A single load was for $2 or a triple load wash for $4, yessss please. -Electrolux washers and dryers, that's just pro as hell -FREE WIFI, that works (how do you think I'm writing this review?) -Computers available for rental while you launder -SUPER CLEAN -open, spacious, and air conditioned -coffee, vending, detergent, services They have it all and they are doing it well. I've used this place 2 other times before however picking up my clothes today and seeing how they completely disregarded my request when I placed my order is the reason for the 1 star. When I called to order the pick up I told the guy that all the items in the blue bag with the hangers are the items I want hung up. He said OK. Yet when I came to pick up my clothes today I noticed that almost NONE of the items that were supposed to be hung up were actually on the hangers. When I asked why he said: we don't wash the clothes as you give them in the bags so if you want something hung up you need to let us know specifically,for example, I want all my jeans hung up. If a customer tells you, SPECIFICALLY, they want the clothes in the BLUE BAG WITH THE HANGERS hung up, you take note of those clothes so that you can you can make sure your customer gets what they asked for. But nooooooooo! Not here. They thought it was more appropriate to use my hangers to hang up my tank tops and bathing suit than to use them to hang up my work pants and jeans. My BATHING SUIT?!?! SERIOUSLY!?! Common sense would have told you a pair of jeans was a better use of a hanger than a bathing suit. So now I not only have to remove all of the clothes they hung up from the hangers, fold them and put them away, but I also have to take all the clothes I asked them to hang up that they DID NOT and unfold them, put them on hangers and then hang them up. COMPLETELY undoing the convenience of using a laundry service in the first place. IT IS TOO HOT FOR THIS SHIT!! I'm so pissed. read more

Very nice and clean laundromat. The people there are very helpful. I was there very early so I don't know how crowded it can get. I could get the machines I wanted. I'm going now to get six loads done today (summer to winter clothes and blankets). I've washed a a light duvet (queen) there before and it took about 75 min to dry. I think it's a little more expensive than other places but considering how clean they keep the place and the comfortable atmosphere i think it's worth it. read more

Visited here to do my daughter's laundry while she was injured. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The space is clean, well-lit and pleasant. They have chairs, free wi-fi, an ATM machine, snack machines and a coffee bar. There are conveniently located TVs. Yesterday I was on my way to do laundry and I remembered that a new laundromat opened in Winooski so I thought I would try it. I am glad I did this is best laundry mat in the area by far. The facilities were very clean , it was a nice welcoming space with plenty of room to sit and fold. They had plenty of TVs, wifi, a children's area, coffee, and other amenities. The manager was incredibly friendly and helpful. All the machines are efficient and of a very high quality. The spin cycles were so powerful that the time spent per load in the dryer is very short. Normally I see going to do laundry as a chore but this place made the experience very enjoyable. I cannot recommend this place enough. read more

This is absolutely the best laundromat in the area, and it is a great addition to Winooski. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the facilities are all spotlessly clean and in good order. The machines are modern and new, the place is bright and cheerful, and there are many amenities, including lots of seating in a cafe area, vending machines, coffee for sale, and plenty to keep you entertained while your clothes are in the washer and dryer. I've always dreaded going to the laundromat because, let's face it, most of them around here are not very nice. But I certainly won't dread going to Clothes Quarters. Wow!!! This laundromat is the very best laundromat I have ever experienced!!! First, it was well lit, clean, and modern. Parking was a breeze just off Rt. 7 (on the right towards Costco from Winooski behind Irving gas station). We were greeted by the owner/manager who helped us learn the efficiencies of each machine, guiding us to get the most for our money. There were multiple washers, including huge ones that washed all of my sleeping bags, sheets in towels. They were available and actually WORKED (brand new state of the art) with no wait. The clothes came out spun until they were almost dry. I then used a HUGE dryer for $3.00 that dried the whole lot and used sensors not to overdry and continue to toss (no wrinkles) while I went shopping at Costco. There were other options too - I used a small machine set on delicate for my undergarments. There were plenty of baskets and tables for folding. In addition, the space is set up for comfort. There is a coffee bar with stools and sports TV. There are rest rooms. He also has tables and chairs set up like a cafe, reading materials, free internet, and a small play room for children. The manager/owner is present, helpful and takes care to treat his customers as valued guests. Prices are very reasonable especially for washing larger loads. There is also a drop off laundry service which I didn't use. I spent less time doing more laundry than expected, including travel time, even though I live in Essex. All my laundry was done in the time of one cycle of wash/dry. I'm amazed. No more waiting for towels in multiple machines and load after load and hours of waiting.
