It is one of those odd things that you can have an experience earlier in the course of a week long…read moreroad trip that makes you appreciate the little things somewhere else along the way. That is definetley the case with this location of IHG properties. This chain is consistenly solid over the years so I wasn't expecting anything less than what we had. They in the midst of a renovation, but around a bit of dust here, anda paint splash there, it was still clean (much cleaner than a previous place in Wilmington). The staffer that checked us in was pleasant and efficient. Our beds were comfortable, lots of pillows. We had a little problem with the shower the first night (operator error, or rather we didn't know the trick for a janky tub/shower valve). We called and they sent someone within about 5 minutes. [It was one of the maids that had experience with our room, a sweet soul, very pleasant...I do have to ask though, how many tattoos are too many tattoos]. The breakfast was pretty well put out, two hot protiens each day, eggs, potato options, oatmeal, cereal, pancake machine, etc. Even the most finicky kid would not walk away hungry unless they wanted to, for whatever reason it is that finicky kids do things. The hot tub worked, good temperature, pool was nice, neither had too much chlorine. While you didn't have to walk through the lobby (like some hotels- why designers, why?) there was a giant window from the front lobby/breakfast area to the pool area. My wife was a bit off put by that. I guess you would feel a bit like a fish in the aquarium if someone was there looking in. Definiteley a good stay, nothing is cheap anymore, so $346 for two nights in a non capitol city in Ohio might feel steep, but hey that's what the market will bear, so all good that's good. We would come back if in the area.

The course was a nice condition. The greens were nice. The weather was just about perfect summer weather the bar area that we ate at had food and just took a little while to get served because they were so busy. I would definitely return. They do have vegetarian options that you can request when making reservations for the cruise. You are sat at medium sized rectangle tables in a party of your reservations. There is unsweetened tea and water provided by the pitcher on your table with sweetener packets. The food is catered; I'm not sure if the same caterer is used for all meals. We began with a side salad of fresh lettuce, croutons, red onion slices, bacon for the carnivores, and a vinaigrette dressing. The main meal was a cheese lasagna, and a prime rib. My husband and I enjoyed our lasagna with a side of cheesy mashed potatoes... Definitely not for the dieters ;) I was informed by others in our party that the prime rib wasn't very good, and the green beans were very bland. The dessert was peanut butter pie. It was good for what is was, but I despise peanut butter :(, so I passed mine off. It definitely wasn't homemade as it was still slightly frozen. The trip as a whole was quiet enjoyable. The staff was extremely friendly, we were informed of the history of the cruise line, then left enjoy ourselves and the company of our party. It was a nice evening out of the 'city'.

I of course bought them a toy each. We got to the theater, and the manager said we needed to leave the toys outside or he couldn't let us in. Keep in mind, the toys were in their package and in the store bag. I had to put my autistic sons outside or not be admitted or refunded. The tears pouring from his face was so heart breaking. Absolutely disgusting that a theater in a damn mall wouldn't let them Bring their bought product in. Updates: We had to leave because with him being autistic he didn't understand and started puking. Thankfully the dangerous toy was still outside. What a joke of a company. No wonder theaters are failing.
