I have shopped and purchased items from many PIAS locations around the country. I normally find them convenient and fair. Disclosure: I did not see the sign on the door that read, " No food/dronks..." My mistake. We entered this store after we bought our favorite coffee and carried them in. No "hello" or "welcome in." Just, "can you leave your drinks outside?" We stopped, turned around, and exited the store never to return. If that's your rule, then fine. I however, will not be treated like an irresponsible child. Our drinks had lids and we're adults. I apologize for entering your story without reading your rule. I'm sure there's a reason for it, but I can assure y'all that I'm not part of that reason. This store definitely be profiling. I went into the store and immediately had several workers come up to us to ask if we needed help. I walked by and was told I need to leave my bag (purse) up front. I asked why. I was told it was company policy. I then said there were no signs saying you couldn't have purses, bags, etc. I went to the car and made a video and came back in to get my husband and kids to Leave. My husband told me he was being followed the entire time. If they have a corporate I will contact them. read more

As parents watching the budget, we like a Ply It Again Sports store. This is the BEST one we've ever been to visit. First of all, the staff was very knowledgeable, friendly and answered all our questions on a variety of equipment. Store owner, all you have is ten to twenty years old equipment in there today was the only time I was rude I never got loud with you before today all your stuff is older than mine and in rough shape and trying to sell skate blade guards for $6.99 WTH man they had a big hole in them the other guy even said you're golf clubs were bet up the one he wanted. And said he could buy a new one for about thirty dollars more . You're also selling hockey bags for $100.00 with holes in them come on man get it together . You should get the guy back that you had for twenty plus years he was a good one so you really haven't worked that shop for thirty five years I never even seen you before the last couple times I been in there. you might own it .I will continue to give you bad reviews after the way you treated me. Went in looking for baseball equipment with my kids. The owner kept nagging at my kids (11 and 8) to not touch bats or swing them. How can we buy a bat if my kids don't know how it feels swinging them? I was with my kids hand in hand! Then we headed to some practice balls and he said hounded my kids not to touch them as well because they can get "dirty". Not a very welcoming place. read more

Went in to buy an elliptical and the sweet young salesman with glasses tried to work with us but his manager basically told us that we could go to Sport's Academy when we offered to pay full price for their elliptical, but asked they assemble it for us (told it would cost $35). The manager told us that even though we could get the same elliptical at Sport's Academy for the same price (not refurbished) we should buy from them because they can't buy 1000's at a time. Furthermore, the salesman informed us that they paid only $75 for the elliptical we offered to pay $500 for. With this profit, you would assume assembly wouldn't be an issue? Don't shop here, you can get a better deal at Dick's or Sport's Academy. read more

My husband bought me a brand new rowing machine for $400 for Christmas. Once he put it together for me I was not fond of the machine because even when my feet were strapped in they would slip out any time I would try to row at a fast pace. We also could never get the rower to give any resistance in the pull even with adjusting the program. I brought the rower back literally never used and only put together out of the box. The gentlemen there basically questioned my reasoning as if I was making it up and told me had already sold ten just like it. He then went over and got on his demo and strapped his feet in to test if his fell out only to push out one time and not continuously and at a fast pace so not sure what he was trying to prove. He then told me that he could not resale the rower as new and could only sell it for $300 and I would get $90 or 30% of that amount. At that moment I wondered where customer satisfaction even mattered. And the crazy thing is I've always shopped here before going to any other sports equipment place but never again. Had I gone to Academy or Dicks with my receipt and a brand new piece of equipment there wouldn't have been an issue. This was utterly ridiculous I am a business owner myself and this is not how you keep customers. I hope others read this before considering purchasing a big piece of equipment that was a complete waste of $400. read more
