Lots of products available here from old sporting to exercise equipment, including treadmills etc. I was pleased by the number of discs there for disc golf... but even more importantly... I was so happy about the abundance of tennis balls. There were so many tennis balls! Perfect for anyone needing some for a game of tennis or so.... But EVEN BETTER FOR DOGS!!!! :) My son (dog) was so happy when I left Play It Again Sports with 6 new tennis balls for only $2.16. I will literally never ever ever buy him new balls again from any store, especially a pet store. I liked the service because no one talked to me until I went to check out. That was totally the vibe that I wanted as well as all of the other patrons of the store. And when I left everyone thanked me and said goodbye. Haha. Good times. Good place. read more

I had not been to PIAS in a long time. I came in to sell a sit down elliptical that retails at $230. It was never used. The men working there seemed very seasoned at their jobs multitasking in every way. It was pretty busy and I was impressed with the size of the place and how many products they have. I was offered 30% of what they said they would sell it for which I really was not happy with. Thankfully my sad face made the manager add on another $10.00. read more

There will be something wrong or unfixable about it and precede to tell you it that they're not interested in buying it. Therefore, don't buy any Used inventory without making sure the condition Is good enough for them to potentially buy back again. Buy once, sell, trade. read more

Great place for a 'first look' when shopping for sports gear. If they have what you need, it's reasonably priced. If they don't have it, at least you tried to cut down on overproduction in our throw-away society. We've bought numerous bikes here as our kids have grown out of one and needed the next size up. Why pay retail for a bike your kid is going to ride for a year and need a new one. So glad to have a place to reuse perfectly good used stuff! read more

I cannot stress enough the fantastic customer service from Play It Again Sports I went in early to find a small home exercise bike. I was there bright and early on a Saturday Morning and was greeted by Jim Zachry. He was so cheerful, helpful and willing to listen to my needs even though they were busy already and setting up for the day. He took very good care of me and was delightful to work with. It only gets better.... Got it home Saturday, got it located where I wanted it and didn't ride on Sunday. Monday morning I attempted to ride early and had a concern about a noise I heard as I was pedaling. I sent him a video of the noise and he promptly calls me and says " that's not right". We will get you a new machine delivered, yes DELIVERED. After they assembled it and tested it. I thanked him and within the same day they are bringing me a new bike. In just a matter of hours. I am blown away at the customer service and the cheerfulness that comes with it He promptly says , " I have ridden this myself and you should have no problem, but if you do call me" MAN, WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! This doesn't happen anymore. NEVER!! Leave the competitors alone, ALL the " big boys" and run to Play It Again Sports. I have never really seen this level of customer service, ANYWHERE!!! read more

I would most surely recommend Play it Again Sports. I went in to look for a treadmill. I was very nicely greeted when I walked in. Evan Frank helped me and answered all my questions. He was very knowledgeable. I felt confident to purchase a treadmill there after discussing it with him. I had it delivered to my home. I have bought a few small items from this store over the years. However they are generally overpriced and it's getting worse. Perhaps this is why there is so much product there is barely room to walk. Today was outrageous though. I went in to buy a treadmill. The one I was interested in was literally $49 cheaper than buying it brand new. The used one was dusty and dirty. My son was interested in a kayak outside. It was dirty and has been baking in the sun for a while. Some young guy in the store said it was $500. It's on sale at Dicks brand new with a paddle and a few extras for $550. It used to be a clean and organized store with clean products, but lately it's just kind of bleh. I like shopping local but they need to research thier products better to be competitive. read more

This is a great place to buy good used sports equipment at a reasonable cost. I recently bought a tennis racket there. After trying it out on the tennis court, I discovered that the racket wasn't a good fit for me. I was able to exchange it for a more suitable racket without a hassle. I would highly recommend this store if you seek athletic gear or equipment. They have a large inventory of new and gently used merchandise. They are also very well informed and will help making selection of what best meets your need. I received expert advice on home gym equipment and baseball gear. They are very conscientious about Covid protection. I observed many examples of practicing standard precautions to protect all customers. I stopped in to buy a bike helmet and some weights. I was treated rudely and felt like I was being purposely ignored at times as I was the only person in the store and the person working there was carrying on a personal phone call. I stood at the desk while they were talking and they didn't even acknowledge He seemed to have a attitude. I have shopped there before and if purchased multiple items but I was so taken back I will never go in there again.! read more

This place is good! While its a small, family owned business (and therefore may not have the same variety as a big corporate store like Dicks), they staff is friendly and can be flexible with pricing, which is a huge plus! They will also try and track something down for you if they don't have it, and will answer questions you might have regarding branding and quality of used goods. There's something to be said for people who work in sales with souls. These people have a soul. And the management is extremely nice and helpful! read more

I'm not really sure why anyone would buy stuff at this place. I was told that the store offers 30% and 40% of "market value" in cash and store credit, respectively. If an item is worth over $100, then they will consign for 50%. That seems ridiculous considering area kids consignment sales give up to 80% of sales proceeds (though obviously these guys have to pay overhead and sale associates). But what really gets me is that their prices don't seem low at all for used goods - pretty much everything that I was familiar with (hockey equipment, cycling equipment, dive gear and water gear) I have found for cheaper NEW elsewhere (albeit on sale or on ebay). Why would anybody buy used at these prices? Might as well shell out a few more bucks and buy new?! Would love to hear from those who support this place. read more

Ok. So things are changing amidst Covid. I was very disappointed with this place used to go all the time. They seemed to be on top of things before, allowing you to call in and meet you outside for items. Now it's just gross. Went in most other patrons were wearing masks, thankfully, the owner and staff did not. A tiny table up front with a few 1/2 used bottles of not even hand sanitizer (not sure what was in the liquid bottle with smudged finger print stains- all over). No social distancing protocol in place. The kicker was the kid working there, while standing by the owner, literally laughed at me for using hand sanitizer after our transaction. For a place that sells 'used' equipment you would think they would be even more cautious or simply encourage sanitation. It may be the place to go if you think Corona is "Just a myth" or not a fan of sanitation. Definitely sanitize anything you buy there. read more

I know everyone wants to get a good deal on the stuff they sell but this place is ridiculous. I came in with two, brand new, still in the box pair of metal softball cleats (Mizuno and Nike.) They said they would give me 30% of the resale price (how nice of them) and priced them together at $40-offering me $12 for both pairs. Not only that, but I walked by a single pair of same-style Mizuno RUBBER cleats that they had priced at $45-higher than what they claimed my two pairs would be worth. Long story short, they'll try to gyp you and lie to your face. read more
