This place is awesome to rent surf boards and take lessons. They give excellent instruction and I was riding waves within an hour. I will for sure rent boards from them again! I would recommend lessons first and then any day after that to just rent the surf boards.

Great beach to learn how to surf

We had a great time. Brian taught us the inportance of staying connected and took safety seriously. We spemt some time learning the ropes on land and then we attempted the water. People who didn't swim began to relax in the water. We learned in a sandbar so falling in waist deep water built confidence. Mari was awesome as well. I have profound respect for surfers. A huge workout. I love love snowboarding and this experience peaked my interest in returning to learn how to surf. Thank you!!!

My 16 yo and 13 yo wanted to learn to surf while on vacation and Surfing Puerto Rico got great reviews! We were not disappointed. The kids loved it! They learned and were able to get up on a good amount of waves. THIS is the place to learn they are engaging, respectful, and really love what hey do!!! Don't pass this up. My husband and I and our oldest hung out on the beach and swam and took pictures while the younger 2 had lessons. Awesome experience. Don't forget to buy a fresh cut coconut after the lesson to quench your thirst! A few men chop down the coconuts right on the beach and sell them for you to drink.

My daughter and I just took one surfing session with Brian, our surfing instructor and I'm gonna get 5 more classes for both of us. My kid started surfing from the start (She say's is because she's in ballet). Brian and the other instructors are very professional, they're very well equipped and set up perfectly. And this beach has excellent places to eat and drink, so you can stay till sun down right there and have a very awesome day. I've lived all my life in Puerto Rico and never surfed on a board, I have boogie boarded a lot before. And this very beach (La Pared, Luquillo) is where I was taught to boogie board by my neighbor when I was about 10, because back then he told me that this was the best beach to learn to surf and boogie board. I'm 41, so this was 30 years ago.

This place is phenomenal. Great location and a great instructor. Ashley and Brian made this a memorable experience - highly recommend to anyone!

    Absolutely amazing!!!

Wow!! How to start the review.... this was our second time coming to PuertoRico. I can't even imagine coming and not surfing with Brian and April. Our first time last year was unbelievable! Our boys 9 & 11 did not stop talking about how cool Brian was and how amazing surfing was with him. They have since surfed in Canada and in Los Angeles and they still only talk about surfing in PR with Brian and April. After watching them and taking picture last year, my husband and I decided to join the boys this year. What a workout and total blast. Thank you, thank you!! We will be back again for more and can't wait to see Brian and April again. You guys are awesome!

We had to do…read moresome research to get a hold of Beach Boys Paddle Boarding, but we were very happy with our experience. The owner, Ty, was very helpful and cared about our safety from the start. He kept in contact with us the day before and the day of while we were in Puerto Rico to let us know if it was safe to paddle board the river. Turns out that a woman had died recently while she was in one of the main rain forest artery rivers because of flooding from a rain storm. So, Ty wanted to make sure we would be safe from that risk. We met Ty and his assistant "Capitan" at the entrance to the main Luquillo Public Beach and then followed him in our own rental car to the launch site. We had to walk for only 5 minutes to get to the river. Ty and "Capitan" carried the large paddle boards and we carried the paddles. Ty gave us instruction on paddleboarding and we were off. Along the way, Ty tried to get a feel for what we were interested in. I told him I loved the wildlife and so he continually looked for that along the way. In fact, he taught me about iguanas and had a pregnant female iguana hop aboard his paddle board and took a ride to the iguana nesting grounds further down the river! Very cool! He also pointed out rare Puerto Rican birds and Capitan cut down a bunch of coconuts for us to drink the juice while we played in the river and rested. The trip back was a bit harder because we were paddling against the wind. But, us petite girls made it just fine. Would do this trip again and definitely with Beach Boys Paddle Boarding!

I showed up unannounced and was out on the water before I knew it. He has a nice selection of the latest model RRD boards and sails to help me get back into sailing after a long snow bound winter in Boston. The location is awesome and its obvious why it is a favorite spot of local sailors. I had great winds, 20+ knots every day I was there in early March. The equipment is stored a few steps from a nice grass rigging area right above the beach. It's a clean, sandy, sheltered beach with minimal shorebreak to deal with and the wind fills in beyond the swimming area. The conditions ranged from flatter closer to the point to bigger swells as you get toward the reefs where there were nice sets of breaking waves. I started out on wide 120l Fire move then moved down to the fast 112l Fire race. The 7.0 RAF sail I used had a lot of speed and power, good range and was easy to waterstart outside in the 5' to 10' swell. Albir was an awesome host - easy going, supportive. The rental rates were also a really great deal. Already looking forward to a return visit!

We had Adrian and Giovanni for the tours and just had a blast! They really treat you well and accommodate the tours to your style. It's like your just hanging out with some old friends. Your not just doing these awesome adventures - we also learned about the Puerto Rican culture, ancestry history, and they gave great restaurant recommendations. We rented a car but some other people on our tour group were picked up by Verdeazul for the adventures. Adrian even helped us get connected to a vet when we found a sato (Puerto Rican slang for a street mutt)! We have the most memorable memories from this trip thanks to the guys at Verdeazul! We strongly suggest booking something through them and would recommend it to all our friends and family. They take all the photos for you and email them to you so you don't have to worry about trying to capture the moment and enjoy it at the same time. Not to be missed!

We stopped for a bit at a swing and the kids had a blast. Some dude told confronted Brian about some permit, which brian told me later they of course had, but Brian played it cool and let the man say his piece and he went on his way. Really a memorable experience. Amazing views of cliffs on the way back. Thanks to Scott and Brian for the experience. We will see y'all next time for sure
