10/10 experience! Staff is dope. We had Kevin & Mateo as our mini boat adventure guides. Boats were so fun to drive and the snorkeling was very cool ! A must try ! Also, super blue clear water in Cayo Icacos !

    Mini-boats before the tour.

My wife, two teenage sons (16 yrs, 14 yrs), and I signed up for an 8:30am mini-boat tour during our April 2022 trip to Puerto Rico. After a 15-minute orientation, you are placed on a mini-boat (feel like a sturdy raft with a jet engine). It was a bit choppy on some waves going out to Cayo Icacos from Fajardo (but more smooth on the return). Paola and Matthew were our guides for the morning - they were great. If you enjoy an adrenaline rush from boating on waves, this is the tour for you! The snorkeling just off Cayo Icacos was lovely with a nice view of coral reefs and colorful fish. Relaxing for 30 minutes on the island was nice except for the obnoxiously loud music played by some local visitors on boats. Overall, this was a highlight of the trip for my two teenage sons. My wife and I had sore arms and back after absorbing a few sudden bumps on the waves. But if you seek an active experience, the mini-boat tour is a lot of fun! I'm guessing the bioluminescent tour is much more slow-paced and relaxed.

From the tour before ours, but a beautiful shot of Laguna Grande

The best tours on the island--hands down! The team at KPR was amazing from booking to excursion completion. Their website is easy to navigate and has very clear and comprehensive explanations of all of their available tours. When we arrived for our tour they were ready to greet us, able to store our keys/phones, and provided safety information. They even had a photographer to capture our experience so we didn't have to risk our own devices! We did their Bio Bay Tour and two days ahead of time they messaged us to let us know the plankton wasn't glowing as brightly, offering us opportunities to book a different tour, cancel with full refund, or confirm and receive a discount on our tickets. We decided to confirm and we're so happy we did. Even though the Bioluminescence wasn't super bright, the experience of kayaking through the mangroves in the pitch dark (we did the 8pm tour) and then the stars--I've never seen anything like the sky that night. Our tour guides: Miguel, Paola, Jordan, and David were so knowledgeable, we're able to answer our questions, and educated us on the Bio Bay and some constellations. I would 10/10 recommend ANY tour with KPR because they will most certainly take care of you and deliver above and beyond. Thank you for helping make our trip a memorable one!

We really enjoyed our kayaking experience with Kayaking Puerto Rico. This was the perfect ending to the day of exploring on this side of the island. Check in process was easy, they had a tent set up (other companies are set up in the same area - pay attention to names on tents). Once you are checked in you can leave keys/things you don't want to get wet in a box so they can lock it up for you. Our tour included 3 guides (actually a photographer a lead guide and a helper guide). They offered good instruction, so if you're new to kayaking they try to make it simple for you. We then embark single file to head out to a lagoon area where we waited for it to get dark so we could experience Bioluminescence. Bioluminescence is one of planet Earth's best-kept secrets. Tiny organisms make the water glow at night. They found the perfect place to live in the Fajardo Bio Bay. Stir the water of the Bioluminescent Bay and lots of sparkles will activate. Glowing trails will swirl and flow with the water. As it got darker they glow got brighter, tons of fun! Would recommend to anyone that is looking for an adventure that is a little out of the norm.

Excellent service! My instructors were Matthew(Mateo) , Eric and Jesus. They made sure we were all safe and organized while cracking jokes along the way. We saw a number of exotic fishes all while the instructors supervised the premises. Would recommend to groups of friends or family.

My boyfriend and I booked the mini boat and snorkeling adventure and had a FABULOUS time! Paola and Marco were our guides and they were super helpful and knowledgeable but also sweet and fun! We enjoyed driving the boats, got to snorkel a coral reef and got to explore an island. I would highly recommend booking an excursion with Kayaking Puerto Rico!

The guides on this trip are so wonderful. They are all very kind and knowledgeable. The tour itself was very enjoyable. The tour consists of traveling by ferry (1 hour each way) and then tracking by bus to two separate islands. At the first, you spend an hour snorkeling. There is an opportunity to have your picture taken and there is lots of interesting wildlife. At the second beach (10 mins away) you have 3 hours to spend doing what we you choose. You finish the tour with 45-60 mins at the ferry where there are gift shops and restaurants. Overall, the experience is worth the money. My reason for giving 4 stars rather than 5 is because I did not realize how little snorkeling there is compared to how much time is spent on the beach. However, the convenience of the experience mixed with the knowledge of the guides made this well worth it.

As boat rides were expected, it was a rocky ride to the island. The Captain instructed us to remain seated while the boat is in motion to avoid injuries. As instructed, I was seated during the entire boat ride. Above me was a large speaker and during the boat right the speaker fell landing on my head and shoulder. Due to this incident, I no longer was able to enjoy the experience or amenities the tour provided. I no longer drank alcohol because my head continue to hurt more with drinking and overtime my shoulder began to hurt more. This accident was not a life threatening situation, which is why I didn't request to be taken back to the mainland and go to the Hospital. Due to this situation, I didn't get off the boat or continue to drink the alcoholic beverages provided. I attempted to get a full refund of my personal ticket, however; was unsuccessful. I reported the incident to the Captain and an incident report was taken. The Captain instructed me to speak to the owner and provided her number. I spoke with her over the phone and explained the incident 2 days after, in which she stated she was aware. I kindly requested a refund due to it being negligent on their end for not properly placing and fastening such a large speaker over their clients heads. The woman was very defensive and stated that "if I felt that bad, I should've went to the Hospital and requested a ferry back to the mainland". I then explained to her, not all injuries require a hospital visit and if she's questioning the accident, to ask her crew and pictures that were taken on the boat prior to me getting off. The Captain took pictures and felt the lump on my head. I then told her that I just couldn't enjoy the experience so I no longer drank the alcoholic drinks and didn't get off the boat when we arrived at the island. She stated to me "just because you didn't get off the boat doesn't mean you were feeling bad, many people don't get off boat". I then tell her the fact of the matter is the accident happened, her crew witnessed it, there are visible injuries that will leave a scar, and thank God I didn't get a concussion, all I'm requesting for is a full refund of one ticket (mine) because it was very negligent from her company. She stated that she will give me a call back. It is April 9th, 2026, and I have yet to receive a call or email from this company. Honestly, if it wasn't for this accident, I would've definitely loved and enjoyed this tour. Unfortunately, I just personally had this experience and wanted to share how incidents will be handled if you decide to book with them.

They gave us instructions for snorkeling, and helped everyone to securely fasten their gear. We stopped at three spots for snorkeling. The first one were very close to Icacos Island, which was deliberately in a shallow area, so first time snorkelers like me can get some practice before going into deeper waters. The other two spots we stopped were in the middle of the ocean, among the reefs and vast expanse of the Caribbean Sea. Herbert, an experienced diver that guided our tour, dove down and flipped lots of rocks and caught little star fish, urchins, shrimps, crabs and other interesting creatures for us to see. It was amazing, and something I couldn't have done if I were on my own. Snorkeling is such an easy sport, even though I've only swan in water parks before, I find it easy to swim the sea with no problem. Lunch was prepared by them, with cold cuts, cheese and sandwich bread. I'm not a fan of these type of food, but I didn't expect hand pulled noodles in the middle of the sea either. Food was not the point of this trip anyway. If you don't like these food, you can always bring snacks and just put them in the cabin downstairs. In the end, we sailed by this small piece of land and saw iguanas climbing up the trees. It was really nice. I learned about this tour rather late, so I didn't meet the book online window (at least 12 hours ahead), had to call in and make reservation. I would recommend everyone taking advantage of their online booking system, it is real-time and you get $10 off.

They laid out a simple light sandwich buffet for lunch with beers and tropical cocktails. Snorkeling, swimming and relaxing for a few hours, we spotted small schools of fish and a very cool bachelor Stingray circling looking for scraps.
