Playa Bowl never disappoints! I always get an açaí bowl with granola, strawberries, and Nutella! My friend got the mango base and he said it was really good! This location made our bowls really well but since it's on the beltline it is busy so expect to wait a little. Overall still a great place!

    Oatmeal bowl

I came here yesterday (4/19) for the first time b/c it was right after I finished Puppy Yoga which was around the corner and wanted something to eat since it was still early around noon. My friends really liked this place so I was curious as to why. So when we got there I realized it was a smoothie bowl place. It was a bit cold yesterday, but I can always do a smoothie bowl. However I say they had an oatmeal bowl, so I opt for that instead. Well When I got my bowl it was warm which I didn't expect I thought it was gonna be like overnight oats. So I was pleasantly surprised. Bust then I was soon disappointed. I ordered the blueberry/strawberry bowl, and literally that's is what I got no pizzazz or anything not even honey on top. It was the berries and sliced almonds. Not bad right, butbwjen i went to tale my first bite? The oatmeal me just felt stiff. It was steelcut oats but it had ABSOLUTELY NO FLAVOR! It also was kinda stiff. I then asked for a drizzle of honey to try and soften it up and add some sweetness to it, but it didn't help. Usually oatmeal should be a bit softer not soupy but a bit loose and creamier. This was very stiff. I asked the server in the future could the oatmeal be made with coconut milk or something, she said they normally just use water, which I guess is fine but they dont use enough water so that the oatmeal is a bit more loose. And it has ZERO flavor. The berries did t add much flavor at all. I just figured a place that was steadily busy, would have more to their oatmeal bowl than just oatmeal with berries on top. The should take these bowls off the menu. I said next time I go I amd gonna ask if the can mux in sime coconut milk and honey when they make it and see what they say. So it is worth going back b/c my friend enjoyed her Açai bowl, and I do wanna try one for myself b/c they have so many different smoothie bowls, but unfortunately for me opt for the oatmeal one b/c it was heartier..oh well... So yes I recommend but dont get the oatmeal unless you do what i suggested and ask for some type of milk or even just more hot water amd honey to be added..that is if you don't like stiff unflavored oatmeal.

I love playa bowls! The bowl is always delicious especially the mango base. The service is super quick! Right after ordering it was almost immediately ready. The ambiance is a quick place to pick up but the do have a seating area which is great to sit and people watch on the beltline on a nice day. My only wish is the portions sizes were more consistent with each visit sometimes I get a base filled to the top with lots of topping and sometimes I get less base and a few toppings

My boyfriend I stopped here during our walk on the beltline. After looking over the menu, I decided I wanted a Mucho Mango fruit bowl for the second time. However the cashier let me know they were out of everything mango flavored for the day. I quickly pivoted and ordered the Stupid Cupid special bowl that had a strawberry, banana, and coconut base and was topped with strawberries, granola, coconut, and various chocolates. While the base was cold and refreshing, I felt as though it wasn't very flavorful. The toppings definitely carried on this particular bowl. My boyfriend enjoyed the Pink Flamingo Pitaya Bowl so I'll probably order that next time. It was a nice experience eating inside the shop as they played well known Micheal Jackson songs and people watching next to the beltline.

I am not an Açaí bowl fan but people kept telling me to give Playa Bowls a try. Well let's just say they did not disappoint. I had the mango berry bowl and it was phenomenal. It almost didn't make it on the drive home. I cannot wait to return to try some different based and maybe even give Açaí another try! I was impressed at the freshness of the fruit on top and the size of the blueberries. The restaurant was clean and gave off tropical vibes. The staff were nice and the place was pretty empty when I visited. My bowl was ready in under 5 minutes. I will most definitely be going back soon!

Gotta love Playa Bowls! Undoubtably the best place to get açaí bowls. My go-to is the Mango Berry bowl with half pitaya base and half mango base. It was a bit odd how this location has the inside of their store locked on a very hot summer day and only allowed outside orders and seating. Very conveniently located on the Beltline.

Walking the belt line I craved a smoothie and gave this place a shot. The inside is decorated well and has nice artwork. They answer any and all questions. They don't provide any other options for water other then bottled water. I wanted just a little to give to my dog but thankfully there were bowls at other establishments near by

I have finally made a trip to this place and I honestly should've arrived earlier.I purchased the Tide Banana Bowl & I was impressed . The fruit was fresh and the quantity was perfect ! The fruit combo with the banana base made me squint at first but it's actually quite impressive. I look forward to returning.

So many options to choose from. Great service, nice atmosphere. Loved it, location is also great.

Mmm! Healthy tasty snacks! The fruits were sweet & ready to indulge in! I ordered from this nice brother who was very helpful & patient as i was not sure what i wanted to mix in my bowl. Small sitting area inside with belt line views were dope! Love this place! Will return again on my lunch break! :)

We walked on the beltline and found this place towards the end of our walk. This was a great healthy refreshing option when you don't want anything too filling. The portions were big and bowls were very tasty! It was my first time trying pitaya which was tart but tasty with all the other fruits.

Worth a stop! I was visiting from California and had heard about this place from a YouTube vlogger so I wanted to try, it's a chill vibe the Aci was a little sweeter than I am accustomed to, I ate everything except the Aci, I will go back upon my next visit, yes but I will try another menu item.

I've been wanting to try here, and although it wasn't all that hype, they have amazing service and great smoothie bowls. Definitely a great place to come for a quick snack after a workout or just whenever. left: Power Acai Bowl with strawberries right: Dragonberry Pitaya Bowl

Do they have outdoor seating? Is it dog-friendly?

Yes they do have an outdoor seating section for you and your pup to enjoy. This location is right on the beltline so it's a pet friendly area.

Is any sugar added to the bowls?

Depends on what you order, but of course it will probably have some sugar

After speaking to one of the owners Torrey they will be opening another location not to far from The Vitamin Lady Shop where they will sell some different food items as well as have demonstrations. That was very exciting to hear and I cant wait to see the new location & attend some of the demonstrations. The food is fresh, seasoned well and the food is made fresh to order. They really focus on food that are made for your specific blood type. They also make juiced juices/tonics that taste amazing, my only issue is one of the ingredients says 1 tsp of cane sugar. They have no beef, pork or chicken products on the menu. The meats they do carry are Salmon, Lamb & Turkey. They have soups, chilli, stews, tacos, pasta, stir frys, deserts, turkey lasanga & salads. They definitely have something for every one. The food they carry are foods to reduce inflammation in the body. They are all about letting the 'Food Be Your Medicine'. The place is small but big enough that they do have a communal table where you can sit down to eat your food. They alsk have a communal table out of the restaurant that is covered where you can eat. The staff is very friendly & customer service is top notch. This go round I had the Turkey Perlo which was made fresh and tasted amazing the bowl was full and I was able to eat on it for 3 meals, I had also got a vegetable stir-fry which is not on the menu & the Vegetable Stew. Which worked for me at that time because I could on eat veggies, they were both seasoned well & tasted great. You definitely should go by and try a couple of different items off of the menu and make sure to pick up Torrey's Tonics which are $5 each or 6/$25. Come back and thank me later. I will definitely be back again & again & again. 5

I really enjoyed the Tropical Breeze smoothie. You could taste the different fruits but also the creaminess. The Pink Dragon was solid but the pitaya packed less of a flavor punch (to be expected). I was pleasantly surprised by the taste of the Tumeric Tonic. The fruit & vegetable flavors balanced the flavors of turmeric, ginger, & black pepper. The ginger in the Immunity Shot was present but not overpowering. I loved their Raw Bliss Bites & that there are nutrient-dense sweet options available.

Couldn't decide which I wanted more so ordered all 3. The avocado toast was terrible. The avocado tasted as if it was a grocery store spread. The toast was not toasted but that wouldn't have helped. The bread itself aspired to be mid. To try to save it they sprinkled salt and chile flakes. There was no integration in this sandwich. It was disjointed and low quality.... I threw it away. The almond butter was better... it was fresh but still had to deal with that non toast ...struggling to be mid level bread. The big problem with the almond "toast" was the sliced bananas on top. They weren't ripe. Sweet bananas go nicely with almond butter but starchy green bananas not so much. The açaí bowl was acceptable if not extraordinary. Its main problems were unripe bananas and almond butter that was just placed in the bottom of the bowl to be discovered as the unsuspecting eater was nearing the end of the açaí. I like almond butter but a large glob in the final few mouthfuls is not my idea of best usage. There are far better versions of all of these. Off the top of my head Kale me crazy has superior avocado and almond butter, flower child much better avocado toast and a number of the Açaí chain restaurants have better Açaí bowls.

The atmosphere inside was also really nice, with a fun and welcoming vibe. I'd definitely come back!

SUPER unimpressed with my visit here…read more Based on the decor, especially the photo area in the parking deck and the fake flower arch outside, my first impression was that this was going to be a "TikTok trap": a restaurant focused more on aesthetics than food or service. Unfortunately, that impression ended up being accurate. It took forever for our food to come out. The parties around us were clearly frustrated as well. I watched one table become visibly irritated, while another guest stopped a server to ask if the food being carried out was theirs because they had apparently been waiting over an hour. As the wait dragged on, I started paying closer attention to the decor, which I personally found tacky and gimmicky, especially the fake greenery hanging across the ceiling. The fried green tomatoes and sweet heat wings were really good, and I started to rethink my initial assessment of the restaurant. Everything went downhill from there. My "Rich Boy" sandwich itself was good, but it came with completely unseasoned fries. When I mentioned that I was supposed to have the "Rolex" fries, the server told me the plain fries were what I got. After clarifying with another server, they brought out the actual "Rolex" fries, which appeared to just be fries with a little parmesan and parsley on top. Supposedly they were truffle fries, but there wasn't even a hint of truffle flavor. My partner ordered the veggie sausage, which was overcooked and dry. Their eggs came out over easy instead of over medium, and the "signature grits" were more like cream cheese with a little bit of grits mixed in. We were told more grits would be brought out, but they never came. Another person in my party ordered the Southern seafood pasta, which had literally one piece of spinach in it. When she asked about it, the server responded that there was "more spinach coming." At that point, it became clear that Barney's is selling the illusion of luxury in order to justify premium prices for subpar food and service. It really was a TikTok trap after all. To make matters worse, when the check came, we were charged an additional $1.50 for eggs that already came with the meal. The explanation was that the eggs "came from the shell." Others in my party were also charged extra for liquor on top of the listed menu price for their drinks. Overall, I absolutely did not enjoy my experience here, and I will not be returning. Oh, and that other party that was visibly irritated with the wait had to wait even longer because there was a hair in their food.
