I ordered for pick up on uber eats yesterday. I canceled my order within the same minute of making it because the estimated time of completing it was two hours after purchase, due to you all accepting the order I was told that I wouldn't be able to get a refund. I spoke with an employee by the name of Keyshawna and she told me that she did make the order because yesterday was so busy that they didn't see the updated cancelation until the end of the day. I do not think it's fair for me to be penalized because you all did not see the update in order status. I am asking that I either receive a full refund or receive the product that has already been paid for. I have already contacted Uber eats and they said there is nothing they can do so I am reaching out to you all for support. This açaí bowl shop right off of Washington road is definitely a gem in East Point, GA. I'm so happy to have yummy options like this store in our neighborhood. This was my first time going but it certainly won't be the last! The options are all so yummy and delicious. On this visit I ordered the dragon fruit and açaí swirl bowl with pineapple, blueberries and strawberries with granola and I haven't stopped thinking about it yet. I love that I have direct access to BF every weekend outside of Shock Fitness. The customer service is great as I was a 1st time customer. They had patience and answered my questions clearly. I'm not a big fruit eatter and this was my first time trying a acai bowl. It was really good and it taste so fresh. I was tempted to try the fancy drizzle but I'm on a strict diet so I kept it simple. I will definitely recommend trying and will be back to support. It actually took me 3 days to finish the bowl. Good portion offered for the price. Now I understand why evey weekend despite the weather they have a long line of dedicated patrons. I had a very disappointing experience here today. I ordered an açaí cookie butter bowl with granola, not knowing that the granola contained nuts. I have a serious peanut allergy, so this was a major health concern for me. When I brought the issue to the attention of the employee in charge, Shanna, and politely asked for either a refund or a remake, I was told no. There was no concern shown for the allergy issue or any attempt to resolve the situation professionally. As someone with a severe allergy, customer service and food transparency are extremely important. A situation involving a potential allergic reaction should be handled with more care and understanding. This was by far the best açaí bowl I have gotten for the money. The portion is good and larger than most açaí places. The fruit was fresh and not frozen like some of the other places. The taste was good. I tried the cookie butter which added an even better taste! The only thing is this that this place isn't a hidden secret anymore because the lines were long and I had to wait about 30 minutes for my bowl. Sakiah or Zakiah was the young lady that helped me today at the register. She was amazing she actually walk me through everything as far as ordering my bowl because I had no idea what to order LOL. I went around lunch time and there was a line, but it moved quickly. While I do wish they had signature bowls to select from, I do love the idea of creating your own. They have 4 bases to choose from, I got the cookie butter base - and you can choose up to two fruits (I got strawberry and banana), and lastly added nutrients (I got honey and chia seeds). I've been a Blendz Friendz supporter since day one. I love that the bowls are ALWAYS consistent. First the fruit is fresh and chopped everyday. It eliminates the mushy fruit that you get other places that use frozen fruit. They fruit choices are pretty much the same year round however mango and kiwi are seasonal and based on ripeness. The Acai itself is soooo good. It has a very rich texture and is not runny or watery. You can have peanut butter or cookie butter swirled into your acai base. They also offer a dragon fruit base on certain days. It's delicious too. Nutrients offered are coconut flakes, chia seeds, flax seeds, honey, agave and nut free granola. You are able to select two fruits with the standard bowl and you can add on additional for a small upcharge. The service is always impeccable. The staff are well trained, super polite and personable. They make sure your order is right before you leave. It gives community go to! If you're a regular you can likely walk in to the staff greeting you by name. The owner is super sweet and very transparent about when products aren't available and why. She is clear that if quality will be compromised she won't serve it! The ambiance is cute. It's a carry out but there are a few tables and a bench. They do have a few board games to enjoy if there is a wait. It's always clean! Always! They have a graphic board that gives all the details of the standard product options. They also have a chalkboard that tells any specials or daily additions. There is no restroom inside. Plenty of parking in the free parking lot. The area looks a little underwhelming but trust and believe everything here is top notch. The cool part is you never know what celebrity will pop in. Also, lots of airline employees frequent Blendz Friendz so the lines can get long sometimes. They get the bowls and smoothies out very quickly tho.
