I was craving a poke bowl one evening, and just so happened to see Poke City, so I drove into the parking lot and parked. It's in a strip mall, so there is plenty of parking. I did go at closing time though, so maybe that's why there were so many spots. I got a medium poke bowl and loaded it up with all my favorite toppings and sauces. The lady making my bowl was SO HELPFUL. She answered all my questions and was so polite each time. She was very knowledgeable about everything, which made ordering a breeze. At checkout, she told me I get a free Miso Soup, since it was a special they were running. I will definitely be coming back here in the future!

Amazing place, food and staff. It's the perfect lunch choice. Clean and great atmosphere.

Great service, everyone was friendly and nice! I got a medium sized bowl, and it was good portion. They also had complimentary miso, which was nice.

Enjoyed a quick easy weekend lunch at Poke City. As the name implies the restaurant serves Poke bowls which can be customized or selected from their standard menu. The staff recommended I try customizing my bowl so I selected a small bowl with Spicy Tuna and salmon. I added carrots, cucumbers, red onion, edamame, kale, brown rice, green onions, a spicy sauce as well as sesame oil, and a few of the crunchy toppings. The staff were sweet and patient! They also offered miso soup to start. Plenty of indoor seating as well as many to go and meal delivery orders. The plaza had plenty of parking as well. The small was plenty for me. Additional protein options include tofu, cooked chicken, shrimp, and tuna.

I am a huge poke fan. My sister got me a bowl from this place to go and unfortunately, I will say it's not the best poke I've had. I was looking for the fish in my poke bowl to where it may as well be a salad bowl with a dash of fish garnish. I didn't think the bowl was exciting in flavor- something was missing to tie the whole bowl together. My poke bowl felt dry despite having rice to add some moisture and there seemed to be a lack of taste to the whole thing. I had ordered the large with salmon and tuna with their signature sauce. I did the typical 50/50 with most of the toppings listed. The size seemed a little small for its price but what I noted was that it just seemed to lack an overall put togetherness. Overall, if your'e looking for poke, this place may be ok. But you're better off with a 5$ sushi Wednesday deal at Publix in my opinion if you are someone who likes more fish/rice ratio to the actual salad bowl.

Wow! What a surprise. It definitely hits all of your pallet for flavor. Had lunch with my babes and we really enjoyed our poke bowls. We ordered two small bowls which came with two heaping scoops of protein (your choice). I had the spicy tuna and babes had spicy tuna and salmon. So the fact that you can mix the proteins is an extra bonus. Then you get to select all of the veggies and additional toppings along with the dressing. We both got the spicy mayo and it was so full of flavor. Everything was super fresh and the place is super clean as well. The ladies were very nice and made us feel welcomed. This is definitely a redo, multiple times :). This is one of the best poke places I've visited.

I worked at an upscale poké bar for a year and spent some time mixing wasabi in the back until my eyeballs were red with tears. There's not a lot that can disappoint me, but I've since pared down my order to pure Salmon and Masago (sometimes salad) for the right Savory and Salty flavor profile. Salmon is good quality. I felt like I was given plenty of protein here. Original Sauce is fine but sodium's too high for me (soy sauce things). I'm not the biggest fan of Citrus Ponzu sauce since it's a little too tart, which is the recommended pairing with Salmon, so I went with light Sesame Oil and like... kosher salt. The coarse healthier stuff. Thanks to the chill asian dude working on a Black Friday afternoon.

Waikiki Poke Burritos. Salmon, lettuce, red onion, kale, crab meat, masago, carrot, red cabbage, sesame oil, furikake, tempura flakes. $12.

I had A-OK to very good poke burritos at this Buckhead location of Poke City. That combined with friendly service bumped this Poke City up to a soft four for me. While this place may not knock your socks off, it's good for what it is, a casual, reliable poke joint. There are currently four Poke City restaurants in metro Atlanta that I'm aware of: Buckhead, Johns Creek, Midtown, and Newnan. Thus far, I've been to the two intown locations. I was told by an employee at this location that each Poke City location has a different owner (they're franchises). Poke City Buckhead opened in February 2018 in "The Shops of Buckhead," a two-story strip mall in Brookwood that's not to be confused with the more posh and well-known "The Shops Buckhead Atlanta" farther north. It sits in the space formerly occupied by Firehouse Subs (Suite A). This is a simple restaurant with interior seating for 31 plus two small tables on the covered storefront patio outside. Like other poke restaurants, you order food in an assembly line format. And like other poke restaurants, you can customize your poke bowl. There are over 45 ingredients to choose from. Prices during my visit were as follows: * Small - $9.95 (two scoops of protein) * Medium - $11.95 (three scoops of protein) * Large - $13.95 (four scoops of protein) The protein options were tuna, spicy tuna, salmon, albacore, octopus, shrimp, scallop, tofu, and baked chicken. In addition to poke bowls, you could get poke burritos (four kinds at $11.95 each), acai bowls ($7.95 medium, $9.95 large), Korean bulgogi beef and bulgogi chicken bowls ($11.95 each), and drinks like bubble tea ($4.25 each) and Korean teas (e.g. citron, plum; $3.50 each). At this location, I tried two of their sushi burritos: * The Classic ($11.95) - tuna, lettuce, sweet onion, cucumber, masago, sesame seeds, sesame oil, and original and ponzu sauces wrapped in roasted seaweed with white rice * Waikiki ($11.95) - salmon, lettuce, red onion, kale, imitation crab, masago, carrot, red cabbage, sesame oil, furikake, tempura flakes, and original and spicy mayo sauces wrapped in roasted seaweed with white rice Both poke burritos were satisfying, but the Waikiki burrito definitely outshone the Classic. I'd rate the Classic three stars (OK) and the Waikiki a solid four (good/very good). The employee told me the Waikiki and the Kona burritos are the most popular and in hindsight, I probably should have gone with the Kona instead of the Classic. The Kona comes with both tuna *and* salmon plus lettuce, red onion, cucumber imitation crab, masago, cilantro, carrot, red cabbage, sesame oil, and ponzu and sweet chili sauces. Similar to hot pot, I think the sauces can really make a big difference when it comes to poke bowls and poke burritos. Poke City's original "signature" sauce is a ginger-based soy sauce. I really enjoyed the impact that the spicy mayo had. It was only mildly spicy, but quite flavorful. Overall, the ingredient quality in both burritos was good. The fish tasted fresh as did all of the other ingredients; crisp veggies, yummy seaweed, and delectable masago (I love the stuff). Unlike the poke bowls which were prepared at the ordering line, my poke burritos were prepared behind the curtain in the kitchen in the back. Each burrito was wrapped in paper and sliced in half. I got my order to go and each burrito was served in its own compostable box. Service was great. I was the only customer in the restaurant when I entered so the staff of two gave me their full attention. The staff appeared to be a Korean mother and son. The mom prepared my burritos while the son handled customer interactions and payment. He also prepared poke bowls for a customer that arrived after me. Like the competition, Poke City offers loyalty reward cards. If you buy 10 bowls of poke, you get one medium bowl for free. TL;DR - Poke City is a more than serviceable poke restaurant for South Buckhead. It's worth checking out if like poke. Try the Waikiki burrito.

Mixed emotions..... It really is your standard poke place, they are in a convenient location in a shopping complex (free parking) off of Peachtree Road. The restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly, and the food isn't bad. There was just nothing memorable about my experience. I did not feel like the flavors were exceptionally delightful or refreshing. That being said, they also weren't dull and tasteless. Hi, however, can only order the tofu-based options, so maybe my carnivorous counterparts would have a better experience. For me, my biggest problem is that they serve the tofu cold. No one wants to eat cold meat, fake or otherwise. If they served the tofu warm, I might be willing to give it another try, but mostly because of it's convenient location to my workplace. They are taking proper COVID precautions, I do see them thoroughly clean in between customers and they wear masks at all times.

Medium Poke Bowl (Salmon is mostly hidden because I chose a lot of toppings but trust me they are there - and a good portion of it too)

My friends really liked this place so I was curious as to why. So when we got there I realized it was a smoothie bowl place. It was a bit cold yesterday, but I can always do a smoothie bowl. However I say they had an oatmeal bowl, so I opt for that instead. Well When I got my bowl it was warm which I didn't expect I thought it was gonna be like overnight oats. So I was pleasantly surprised. Bust then I was soon disappointed. I ordered the blueberry/strawberry bowl, and literally that's is what I got no pizzazz or anything not even honey on top. It was the berries and sliced almonds. Not bad right, butbwjen i went to tale my first bite? The oatmeal me just felt stiff. It was steelcut oats but it had ABSOLUTELY NO FLAVOR! It also was kinda stiff. I then asked for a drizzle of honey to try and soften it up and add some sweetness to it, but it didn't help. Usually oatmeal should be a bit softer not soupy but a bit loose and creamier. This was very stiff. I asked the server in the future could the oatmeal be made with coconut milk or something, she said they normally just use water, which I guess is fine but they dont use enough water so that the oatmeal is a bit more loose. And it has ZERO flavor. The berries did t add much flavor at all. I just figured a place that was steadily busy, would have more to their oatmeal bowl than just oatmeal with berries on top. The should take these bowls off the menu. I said next time I go I amd gonna ask if the can mux in sime coconut milk and honey when they make it and see what they say. So it is worth going back b/c my friend enjoyed her Açai bowl, and I do wanna try one for myself b/c they have so many different smoothie bowls, but unfortunately for me opt for the oatmeal one b/c it was heartier..oh well... So yes I recommend but dont get the oatmeal unless you do what i suggested and ask for some type of milk or even just more hot water amd honey to be added..that is if you don't like stiff unflavored oatmeal.
