This cafe had a relaxed, kitschy tropical island vibe, and my pick from the menu was the Nica Bowl, which came with toppings of granola, banana, strawberry, walnuts, cacao nibs, and peanut butter, all on a base of blended banana and pitaya (I chose the mixed half-half option). The pitaya (dragonfruit) was blended with banana, pineapple, and coconut milk and had the right amount of sweetness, while the milder banana blended with honey and almond milk had an amazing ice cream-like texture. First time here and I have to say it will BE my last. Placed an order online at 9:09, received an email at 9:32 confirming my order was ready for pickup however my order was STILL not ready... When I walked in, there was a long line just to order, not good especially if you are pressed on time. Definitely need to get better with timing. The staff is extremely slow. I had a long day of work and was pretty hungry but I didn't want to eat anything too heavy since it was late at night so I'm glad that playa bowls was open accepting orders after 9pm. I got the Chia-tella bowl and it was absolutely delicious and super filling. It has chia seeds, granola, strawberries bananas and Nutella, I also added mangos for .50 cents. I actually had it 2 more times since. It's definitely a fun and healthy meal replacement. The restaurant itself is also very pretty with its colorful design. You are not able to order for dine in but there's a window on their balcony that is very convenient for placing and picking up your orders. This store location is by the far the worst. I don't come here that frequently but that blonde chick is just so rude. Several times I ordered here and she was there. I complained about my bowl twice at separate times and I was greeted with not a smile, not a polite acknowledgement but a straight poker look. My order was only a minor flaw and I normally would let it go in those situations but my goodness that lady really is rude. Food is good.
