Our time at Grand Velas Boutique resort has been nothing short of amazing! From the outstanding customer service upon arrival to the great food options and friendly staff, we have yet to be dissatisfied . Once we arrived, we were greeted by our friendly and personal assistant Bereniece. (All of the staff are very fluent in their English as well). She and I exchanged contact information and communicated via WhatsApp the entire trip. She was available from 8:00-5:00 and made sure she answered all of our questions and tended to our every need. She also sent us restaurant suggestions daily and made reservations for us at whichever restaurant we chose. One thing I loved in particular was how convenient it was to get from the grand velas boutique resort to the sister resort right next door. They offered complimentary golf cart service at any time of the day to transport you to and from, definitely a nice perk about staying at the boutique resort. The grand velas boutique is an adult only resort which was lovely since we were celebrating our honeymoon and didn't want to be around large crowds. ALL of the food we've eaten has been so tasty and flavorful. I've also appreciated how all of the staff members have asked if we have any dietary restrictions at all stations involving food. We booked through delta vacations which has been nice and smooth. The transportation from the airport to the resort was simple and easy. If you're looking to book a quick romantic get away I'd suggest booking the Grand Velas Boutique resort and if you're wanting something a little more family friendly and kid inclusive, the Grand Velas resort can definitely suit your needs. And lastly, this resort managed to have ZERO bugs which I particularly appreciated especially when I wanted to lounge around at the pool or the surrounding seating.

Amazing Resort! Best All-inclusive I have seen. Excellent attentive service. Every employee is friendly, welcoming, and focused on making your stay exceptional! And I mean every employee! Beautiful views. Large suites all with a view. Most comfortable bed and pillows anywhere. Great restaurants - all very different and all good. Premium liquor included.

What an amazing property to explore at the sea of Cortez. Beautiful view of the blue sea and dolphins. The property has so much to do indulging kids and adults. The restaurant at the their location is a must to try. The service is impeccable where you will not be disappointed with the space they have to offer.

Summary: 1. Very inconsistent in terms of food quality and service. 2. Rooms (esp bathroom) feel a bit dated, and don't really look luxurious. 3. Some of the highlights you may see on Instagram, don't actually occur. We stayed here twice in 2023. We had such a great time and loved our first vacation so much, that we came back a second time just after a few months. Unfortunately the second experience was not as pleasant and felt like a waste of money and precious PTO days. First experience: The place wasn't so busy. The service was amazing. The food tasted great. Pool was the perfect temperature. No crowds to fight. Second experience: We went during busy season assuming that they'll keep up the same level of service and be properly prepared to accommodate a higher volume of patrons. Absolutely not the case. Food tasted subpar everywhere. Pools were ridiculously busy and it was hard to get a spot. Service was super spotty. We're not sure if we would return after our second experience - surely there's a better place in Cabo for the price you pay for this resort.

This review is for the restaurant, VELAS 10: We wanted to have one night at a fancy restaurant with a great view and we picked a winner. Velas 10 is located inside the Grand Velas Hotel, not to be confused with Vela which is located inside the Hilton. Give yourself some time to get to the restaurant bc there is a path to get there. No one will escort you, but they will point you in the right direction. Prior to arriving, I received a message that said they would only hold the table for 15 min (we were 5 mins late at the time). The restaurant has indoor and outdoor space; outdoors is the way to go as it's very scenic, overlooking the beach. The food was really good and offered ingredients of high quality; everything we had was very tasty. Shockingly, not too pricey either. I think the corkage was $20 or $25, so we opted to bring our own bottle, however in the end, we were not charged for it. David was our server, and he was great. It was semi busy, but he was always available and very attentive. Note: Dress code was NOT enforced as far as we could see. I saw plenty of men in shorts and I saw some very scantily clad outfits. I would not test the waters on a weekend, but maybe they are just more flexible on weekdays, as we dined on a Monday.

Simply AMAZING! This is the only 5 Star all inclusive resort in Mexico. Staying here makes you feel very special every day! We came here 2 years ago during the pandemic, and loved the resort. This year we showed up after Christmas and one of their employees we met 2 years ago surprised us when we checked in. Thank you Miguel Cuevas Comino for making our family special! Wow what a surprise! The resort is beautiful, the flower, pools, the morning sunrises are amazing! There is so much to do for the kids and the adults to keep you entertained all day. Food... their restaurants are all On Point If you like Tequila, set up a tequila tasting, they take you into their private tequila tasting room. You learn about the different types of tequilas, and sample several. Great experience! If you get a chance to treat yourself and your family make your reservation for this Epic Resort!

Absolutely incredible! We've stayed at other resorts in Cabo and Grand Velas tops them all. This is our second time there and our experience was just as good as the first. It was busier than the first time but we were there for NYE so it was completely understandable. The staff, food, entertainment and amenities were amazing. Kids Club was great. My kids wanted to go there everyday all day. They offer babysitting services at an extra fee for children under 4 and it was totally worth it. It was a true vacation. We've decided we'll be back every year around this time.

We had a great time at the resort! We stayed at Grand Velas Boutique, but explored the other side of the hotel too. The breakfast and Velas 10 were the highlight meals for us, but everything was great. Uriel was our server at breakfast and he was great! He was always very attentive and provided us top notch service. The bar staff at the pool were amazing. Martha, the pool concierge made the experience even better. She made our 4th of July so fun!! If you're looking for an amazing all inclusive in Cabo this is the place to go! We preferred the boutique as it was more relaxing and quiet, but the activities on the other side were also fun.

This is THE hotel to stay at in Cabo!! The architecture, setting, rooms, pool, everything about this hotel is just breathtaking. You will hardly even want to leave. Even the spa is the nicest I have ever been to in a resort, and not many hotels actually offer good massages. OVERALL SERVICE: 10++ stars all the way! Once I am arrived, the bellman held my luggage for me and brought it up to my room after I checked in. Part of my check-in was waiting for my butler, and a server comes to you to serve you some champagne. I felt like a glorified star! My butler walked me to my room and made sure that I felt comfortable. He booked my restaurant reservations and spa appointment for me. You can text them if you have any questions throughout your stay. They will even come find you at the pool if you need anything immediately. ROOMS: Every room has an ocean view (unless you're on the first floor) so you can't really beat that. If you are willing to splurge, the sunrise room is the most amazing view you will get. Just take a look at my photos as proof. It was so relaxing just lounging on my balcony watching the sun while sipping on a margarita. POOLS: There is a family side and an adults only side. There are also two pool bars I believe. The way the pools are laid out is the most organized I have seen at the hotel resort. You can just chill at the adults only pool and stair at the beach. A big plus is that I loved seeing the servers floating around the pools with drinks asking people if they would like to try. BEACH LOUNGE: In addition to the pools, you can also lay out on the beach in cabanas or lounge chairs. There were not a lot of people when I was there, so it felt like I had the whole beach to myself. Just stare at the waves while you take a shot of tequila. RESTAURANTS/DRINKS: Many all-inclusive resorts have watered down drinks, but not Grand Velas! Drinks were all delicious and you can taste the tequila down to the juice. I tried three of the restaurants on site, and OMG food was just on par! I can't remember the names of the restaurants but their ceviche and pastas you can't beat. My waiter was even nice enough to pack me some extra ceviche to go. All inclusive really means all inclusive. There was also a churro cart and taco station next to the pool, and that has got to be one of the best tacos I have ever tasted in my life. You can order room service, and even though it's a different menu, the food was still yummy. The café next to the entrance serves good coffee and café snacks. I grabbed an iced latte in the morning and then headed to the pool for some margaritas. Talk about self-care! KIDS CLUB: I didn't take my kids with me on my vacation but the kids club definitely looked intriguing. There were a variety of activities for kids and countless snacks that they can grab. The next time I come here I will definitely have my kids hand out there. GYM: if the gym is important to you, you will not be disappointed here. The equipment and machines were all new and incredibly clean. Most hotel gyms are quite small and cramped, but here it was pretty spacious and you can find almost any machine you need like a regular gym. There are also water and towels available as you enter. I'm sure I am missing more amenities but I just can't say enough about this hotel. Yes, it is a bit on the pricey side but I'm telling you... it is worth it! There's a reason they are ranked at #1!

This is my second time here and it's still perfect. The service is amazing. Everything is clean. Food is amazing. I don't understand the bad reviews honestly. Kid friendly

We had a spectacular ocean view, and our room on the 5th floor was very quiet. The grounds are beautiful with multiple pools. The main pool has cabanas for rent, an infinity edge overlooking the beach and ocean, a swim up bar and restaurant, and poolside service for food ad drinks. Diego was especially helpful. Lena restaurant has a swim up bar in the main pool and their menu includes pizza, sandwiches salads, and tacos. The family pool also has poolside service for food and drinks. Shout out to Fidel and Angel for their excellent service! The family pool is near the kiddie pool and play area which has a water system kids can run through and a small water slide. Mio restaurant is on it's own small pool with an infinity edge and beautiful view. Mio menu includes sushi, noodle dishes, pad Thai, and poke, all of which were excellent. We had several dinners at the Sotol restaurant off the lobby. Their menu includes tacos, steak quesadillas, and pasta dishes. Bartender/server Jesus provided great friendly service and made us feel cared for each night when we stopped by for after dinner drinks. Talavera restaurant is where the huge breakfast buffet was each morning, offering a very affordable continental breakfast, or a full breakfast. We found the continental offered more than enough options to satisfy us with lots of great choices including oatmeal with an array of toppings, granola and other cereals, about 20 different types of pastries/breads each day, and a fresh fruit bar. The full breakfast also offered meats, cheeses, custom made breakfast tacos, breakfast cocktails, and a smoothie bar. There's also Los Arcos Roasting Company coffee shop off the lobby, and Starbucks coffee and ice cream available in the Dulce shop near the family pool. This Hilton also has a doctor onsite 24 hours a day. This was a relief to us as one member of our family had an ear ache. The doctor did an exam and diagnosed an ear infection and provided the antibiotics right then and there. The doctor had her come back in the next day for a follow-up and the infection cleared up. A wonderful vacation!

"Shout-out' to Ms. Nishme (concierge), Ms. Arely (concierge), Mr. Jesus (Talavera Bar & Restaurant), and Mr. Jiri (Vela Restaurant) for making my stay extremely enjoyable and catering to my daily needs as I bathed in a week of relaxation away from the daily commute and corporate grind. Perched above the resort with spectacular views of the pool and the sea beyond, you will find Jesus at Talavera blending the best margaritas and cocktails within the property, as you enjoy some of the best pub-like entrees and dishes reminiscent of local heritage with modern technique. Indoor-outdoor seating combines for a rustic, stylish , refreshing atmosphere after a day on the beach or poolside. Aside from this dining option, I highly recommend Vela for a romantic evening near the pool, enjoying Italian-influenced seafood, pastas, and meats paired with some eclectic Mexican wines that thrill one's palate. The morning breakfast buffet is quite enjoyable as well, offering Western and Mexican options along with fresh fruits, vegetables, breads, and juices, providing the perfect beginning to a sunny tropical day. Last but not least among the property's treasures are the expansive rooms overlooking the ocean, the numerous shops, and the amazing indoor/outdoor gym with state-of-the-art equipment. Some of the less attractive things about the hotel are the weak, expensive cocktails served poolside, beachside, and everywhere, with prices consistent across all venues and flavors and alcohol content very watered down. Talavera Bar is the only difference. Another notable matter is the 15% service charge on everything! And you find yourself tipping on top of the service charge! As a Diamond member, I receive a complimentary breakfast for two each day, but I was billed $12 service charge and a tip each morning. I would still recommend this hotel as a vacation destination for its beauty, tranquility, and comfortable suites.

The moment we stepped onto the resort property, I thought it was stunning. The views and decor to the stairs and down to the restaurant are beautiful. We were greeted by several staff members along the way who were very friendly. When we reached the stairs to Alebrije, we were greeted by the lovely hostess Fernanda, who escorted us to our table. The table was on the upper patio just off center looking at the water. There were two acoustic guitarists playing popular music while everyone dined. They were so talented. We really enjoyed their music. We had a team of people attending to us so we were never left waiting for service. Our server Samuel was so pleasant and went over the menu very thoroughly. When we asked about something on the menu, he dove deep into the details of each dish. He was very informative. We brought our own wine and were told it was a $50 corkage fee for each bottle. I've never paid that much anywhere domestic or international travels so it was shocking. Since it was a special occasion and very special wine we brought from the states, we went ahead and opened the bottles. Our sommelier....I found her pleasant enough but she was very persistent about something with our friend and kept pushing him and making side remarks when he said no. If a guest says no to something, she should have let it go but she didn't and kept insisting. Unfortunately that set the tone for an uncomfortable dinner setting for a brief time. We were brought bread under a smoke dome. It was warm and delicious. Following was a small piece of beef tartare over a potato. Tasty. I ordered the Lasagna which was cheesy delicious, it was served in a crock rather than a plate so it stayed nice and hot until finished. My husband went with the catch if the day. Ot was a local fish called Turbolt. He said it was absolutely amazing. Our friends ordered the eggplant Parmesan and the carbonara. They both loved their dishes. We decided to order the table side tiramisu. Wow, what a treat. Edgar pulled together the desert and it was so light and flavorful. What a treat. Edgar did an amazing job. I wish we would have walked over to the bar near the restaurant for a drink after dinner. It looked lovely and looks like a wonderful view of the water. If the weather was nicer, I would request a table near the beautiful lit tree on the lower patio. It looks like a beautiful spot to dine, however, any table is a great spot to dine as far as I could tell. Overall we had a wonderful experience. My husband and I would like to dine again on our next visit.

After a pool-side lunch on property our first full day (we arrived the afternoon prior), my friend and I both became violently ill within a few hours. Not long after, we were in the ER, then admitted to the ICU of a local hospital for two nights and three days. The resort doctor and staff were fully aware of our illness and hospitalization throughout. The fallout: we had to extend our room by two nights, rebook flights and airport transfers, and my brother flew down last-minute to help us get home, adding his own flight, room, and transfer costs. Our total trip cost nearly doubled. The resort's entire response was one phone call asking if we needed anything. At checkout, there was nothing. No apology, no acknowledgment, no offer of a discount or refund. We've both since required a week off work to recover, and my brother lost several work days too. The gym is amazing, they have this awesome stretching machine in there as well as pilates equipment. I would stay here again without hesitation. I could keep going on honestly but the last thing I'll say is this place feels romantic so if you're looking to get away with your partner this is the perfect place. Cheers

It's lush, beautiful, and magical, and every single detail feels thoughtfully done to perfection. And the food... incredible. From the beet salad and burrata to the pizza and pasta, every dish was absolutely amazing. We kept saying, "This might be the best thing we've eaten," and then the next dish would arrive! The cheesecake and flan were extraordinary and the perfect ending to an unforgettable meal. After dinner, we wandered the beautiful grounds and got to feed the turtles and koi fish, which was such a fun and unexpected little bonus. Flora Farms isn't just dinner--it's an entire experience. The atmosphere, the grounds, the food, the attention to detail...everything was exceptional. Truly one of the best and most memorable meals I've ever had. An absolute must when visiting Cabo!

We learned the history of the farm and the dwellings inside. What a great place to be. We ended the visit by browsing its market and having a farm to table dinner. Amazing fresh salad , organic pizza and great drinks. The staff is so friendly. There is a live band performing during the staff. Ambiance is so pretty. The market place, stores in the area is an added bonus. We just learned that it is Michelin star rated for 2024 and 2025. Definitely getting its rating again this year. Worth the trip. Turned out to be the highlight of our Cabos trip.
