What a wonderful find! It's at the end of the clothing strip, and you might give up on the costume or vintage look you're digging for just before walking the extra block. But don't be discouraged! I was heading to a Great Gatsby themed dinner party the next day and I couldn't find what I needed anywhere. In my dejected state, I found myself at Playclothes 20 minutes before closing. I had asked a couple friends if they'd help me find the right look, but they weren't available which ended up not being a problem, because Christine, (I hope I remembered your name correctly, Chris's unite!), saw the despair in my eyes and helped me start to finish find the right look! I ended up being there 20 minutes after they closed, (sorry everyone, I'm sure you wanted to go home!), trying stuff on, and they even gave me the tie we picked out for free because it wasn't up to their standard. I never leave reviews, but this place and my fellow Chris really deserve it!

When you have two teenage girls, you have two live Instagrams for teen fashion trends. They both like thrifting, so do I. So when Uncle Bill mentioned during the " Sponge 2" movie that Burbank has tons of thrift stores, we knew we'd make a trip here. Here were we on a rainy Sunday morning checking out the thrift stores at Burbank. Since there are few stores on Magnolia blvd, we strolled up and down this street because of the different stores hours. We hit the Goodwill first which opens at 10am. This store is clean and well organized. You can get the best priced items here. We then visited the Best of times, this is also our favorite because the owner is so friendly! She has light classic music playing in the background and willing to forego the tax for cash payments. Small store though. The playclothes have a very attractive window display. The items here are somewhat pricey:$30 and up. You find yourself travel back in time to the 1900s-1980s which in itself is a treat. They have a large collections of vintage hats; also has suits, costumes, shoes, accessories for men, women, and children. Young attendants, large store space. The last store was " it's a wrap" selling items from the movie sets/productions. We went a few days after the New Year and there was a 75% markdown. They have some pieces priced as high as in the thousands. I don't like this store, it's small , you can't escape the sweaty smell from the clothes. It's a no return for me. I will take more pictures next time when we visit of the stores that we like.

Nothing prepared me for the vintage scene in Burbank. I stayed nearby and made several trips to the strip. But Playclothes stole the show. There is so much to see here that I spent my entire first afternoon in the store. I got to chatting with the wonderful ladies who work there. I tried on some amazing pieces that didn't all work. But if I'd only been a little skinnier and with narrower shoulders, I would have walked out with some amazing pieces. The jewelry section is almost overwhelming. I got some really cool accoutrements. The building is absolutely stunning. I also appreciated the packaging. This is just the kind of store I could spend hours and hours in and keep coming back for more. And hopefully, I will be!

I've come in and out of this store for the past couple years and it's a very interesting store. It's all vintage and there's something to see in literally every corner. It's almost like a little vintage museum. The service on the other hand is kind of odd, almost every time I come in I'm never greeted. Not even a hello, just sort of making me feel a little unwelcome here. This will probably be my last time coming in here.

This is fun, spunky, and fabulous local gem. The vintage wardrobe collection here is stunning and impressive. I can't imagine all the work it takes to build up this collection of vintage suits, dresses, hats, jewelry, trinkets, and other apparel. You can tell from the details that go into just the aesthetic of this shop that these people are passionate about design, fashion, and everything vintage, from the vintage chandelier and the art on the ceiling to the perfectly curated outfits on the mannequins. Every year for Halloween they transform this place with an entire collection of Halloween costumes and accessories that the owner spends time gathering throughout the years. Not only are the prices for all these Halloween items very reasonable and high-quality, but it's also a great second-hand option.

Playclothes is definitely the end of my vintage rainbow!

Vintage...HEAVEN! Could've spent DAYYYYYS in there. Found such beautiful things! Spotted one on a rack of things that hadn't been processed yet, and the associate was kind enough to get in touch with her manager and release it to me. Probably a really good thing I live clear across the country - this would become a very bad habit. I'm in Fabulous Vintage LOVE!

I have been coming to Playclothes for at least 20 years. If you are into vintage fashion expertly curated, this is the place. You will feel like you walked into an old Hollywood movie. It is true glamour, and there are plenty of staff there who will help you find a look and put a look together. I bought accessories from here for evening wear and also for some themed parties - think Mad Men chic. They sometimes have events and fashion shows. It truly feels like the Disneyland of fashion!

Playclothes Vintage is a fun vintage clothing store on the west end of Burbank, on Magnolia. Beautiful vintage clothing and accessories are everywhere, as far as the eye can see. Staff is very helpful and lots of fun and all wearing vintage clothing and costume! I came in here to get a roaring 20s dress, and wound up getting a hat, kitten-heeled Mary Janes, , and cigarette holder too. You do not need to shop here only if you are looking for a costume. They are a beautiful clothing of every era. Go for it! Buy something for every day from the '40s or '50s or '60s or '70s! I wear my vintage Maryjanes all the time. my next purchase is going to be a poodle skirt. The best thing about this store is that you will definitely walk out feeling pretty and feeling happy.

Amazing selection of vintage clothes - love that each era is color coded with tags and notes about the items! I ended up finding the perfect black dress there and there were so many cute options to look through; they do have fitting rooms - which is a bonus - but it may be a bit of a wait for one! The employees were all very kind and helpful when I had questions! Definitely a great spot to check out of your want affordable vintage statement pieces!

Do not come here this ladies are rude ... unless you are blonde you get treated really bad. Even if you look like a junkie but you are blonde they are nice. I was carrying 5 k ready to buy but they are so rude every time I'm in there.... There was another Latina in there ... she stayed to buy... I'm out.

My best friend George (RIP) took me to this place back in 2018. I still thank him from above till this day that he took me here. I'll spend a few hours here every time he took me here. I spent fortunes here too. He knew I was a big fan of vintage. My closet is filled with vintage clothes from fair prices to designer prices. I will pay big time for vintage clothes. My friends all say I have an old soul for one of these reasons. I love vintage cottage core pieces aka granny style clothing, but what can I say? I'm a sucker for these types of clothing. I've bought many things here, and I will continue too. I've bought Brazilian crocodile bags here, vintage bags here, vintage clothes like dresses and blazers. I'm literally obsessed with every item I bought here. They have a variety of clothing here. Vintage coats, vintage dresses, vintage hats, vintage jewelry. They even have some old tv shoes clothing items here brought by the television studios nearby. Every time I come here, as I've said, I can spend 2 hours almost just looking around. They have so many treasures. I wish everything was in my size especially the shoes! I can't forget how many times I've saw a pair of shoes that weren't my size, and I wish I can fit into them! The owner is always so sweet to me also. Her cat also guards the door or the store. It's a quiet cat but she likes to roam around. This one time, I thought it was just a stuff animal but it moved and scared me a little but she is adorable. If you are into vintage items, you will love this store. I tell my friends about them all the time. I hope to be back again one day. I wanna find myself a new dress and shoes. Parking isn't that much a problem. It's street parking but they also have a small back lot parking. Even on busy weekends, we were able to find parking within 10-15 minutes. Happy Shopping!!!!

Lots of monster themed merchandise for sale, skeletons, halloween snack bowls, Stranger Things cookbook, novelty accessories, evil character masks, dead insect and animal displays, creepy sculptures, and of course photo ops galore, like the camp horror boat scene with Jason Voorhees.

Definitely a cool store if you like oddities, macabre, and some spooky goodies. I came in with some…read morefriends and we browsed around the store for a good while as there is a lot to see. If you are into horror and such this is definitely a spot you would like. There are a variety of items to purchase here. Some are more run of the mill mass produced items like candles, purses, slippers, books and such. While other items were clearly thrifted and one of a kind or vintage. Very neat to have that kind of a variety. For example you can get a $20 skill candle or a $400 old operating table. See what I mean? It's definitely a great store to browse around. I easily spent 20 minutes just looking between their three rooms. The reason I did dock one star though is that while it was fun to browse, it's not necessarily my kind of merch. To each their own. Even more so I did find some of the prices to be a little high, maybe it's just me. One example I could give was I found a pretty simple necklace with a bat and heart that I've literally seen a hundred times over at Claire's. That necklace easily is about $7 or so, but here they were selling it for $35. I get they need to make a profit but the quality wasn't there and it was giving child's costume jewelry at a more expensive price. Surely they need to make the rent and knowing that a lot of people who come in are more so "just looking around" it makes sense prices need to be adjusted. A final positive to end on a good note is that the staff are absolutely lovely here. There were multiple staff working which I appreciated. Everyone was very very nice and welcoming. I love their passion for this store and enthusiasm. Nice people work here and I'm glad there is a store like this around for those who can truly appreciate what it has to offer.
