I have brought my 1 yr old pup to this daycare a few times. The first few times he was happy to be there wouldn't even say goodbye to me. Last time tho, when I picked him up I noticed he seemed very skiddish of even me ? Which is not like him at all. I figured maybe he was just over tired. Today when I went to drop him off he turned around and didn't even want to go in the second he saw the man open the door. They practically forced me out the door and took him when I picked him up again he was EXTREMELY nervous and completely off. I have always seemed sketched out that they won't even let you look around the area, always say "the day was greeeeaaat" no more details at all and has anyone noticed they ALWAYS have availability? There should be rules to how many dogs they can have and they are the cheapest so I'd assume they are busy. All in all I have a terrible feeling about what goes on here. I love this daycare so much! Everybody on staff is so friendly, and they take such great care of my dog every single time. When I drop her off, I always know she will be safe for the day because she is in caring and trustworthy hands. Aside from their daycare, they also offer grooming which is an exceptional service. I can't say enough about Playful Paws and their staff. My 5 month old Olde English Bulldogge was skiddish on day one, but now runs in, tail wagging, and not looking back. The staff are super friendly. After a day of play, the poor pup passes out within 5 minutes of getting in the car. And most days, I have to carry the moose into the house because he is too tired to walk up the stairs. Dogs sense and know more than we realize, and my pups sheer excitement when I say "doggie daycare" tells me he is being treated very well during the day. Thank you Playful Paws!!!!. read more

I'm really sad to leave this here, but if your dog is as important to you as mine is to me, you'd appreciate any information (or you wouldn't be here reading reviews...) I've been bringing my Toy Aussie here for grooming for probably around 4 years. I also boarded him once for about a week and a half and all was good. He always left happy (and cute) and that made me happy. Then there was an odd length of time about a year ago where I could not get a hold of anyone for scheduling for months! I gave up and tried going somewhere else, but eventually was able to get through the playful paws and went back. Today was our second time getting a grooming since then. Everyone is always so nice and they seem to love my little dog. But after almost 3 hours I called to see if he was ready and they said no not yet- about 40 more minutes. I waited an hour and still no call. So I just showed up. When I walked in and said I was there to pick up my dog, the woman at the front seemed nervous but smiled and went to get him anyway. He came out running to me as usual but I started noticing these weird red specks on the floor next to him. I discretely checked his paws to see if he was bleeding but I didn't see anything... and the woman in the front still seemed off and kind of rushed me out of there- it was weird. So I get to the car and I see blood all over my hands and look in the mirror and see blood on my face- turns out they had seriously cut his ear (enough that it was literally dripping onto the floor... and hands and face) So I went back in and they acted like they had no idea... I KNOW my dog yelped and cried when that happened because he's the biggest boob whenever anything happens to him. So I know they had to know... and honestly was probably why his appointment was 4 hours for a 15 lb dog. I'm truthfully not upset that he got cut- because he's a dog, dogs wiggle and don't always do as you can predict, I get that. I'm upset that they weren't upfront or honest about it. They cleaned it off and gave him back to me but it continued to bleed for quite some time after. All of this is to say, accidents happen- but when you're dealing with someone else's dog, just be honest about it, don't shoo them out and hope they don't notice. read more

I heard wonderful reviews about Playful Paws, so I decided to call them to ask if they could board my two sweet pit mixes for a week. After not being able to get anyone on the phone for a few days, I spoke with a woman this morning who told me that they no longer board pitbull-type dogs because they bite harder than other dogs. We've been going here for almost a year and our dog always used to get excited when we pulled into the parking lot. Now he doesn't even want to get out of the car. I don't know what changed, but the new people who work here don't seem to care about the dogs at all. They don't acknowledge them or talk to them. I worked SO hard to get the staff to understand my HIGHLY anxious dog. The staff have a terrible lack of communication with their clients and they do NOT put the best interest of the dogs first. My dog anxiously licked 4 layers of his paw pads completely off while in their care and NO ONE NOTICED or contacted me about it. He came home with several scrapes that I was not told about ahead of time. My dog is not social and does not play while at daycare (or even the dog parks!) so the fact that he was in an altercation that resulted in wounds yet NO ONE realized is bafflingly to me. The only explanation is that their staff DO NOT supervise the dogs. I've brought BOTH my dogs to this locations and they BOTH were sprayed with spray bottles on different occasions and in different rooms (big dog and little dog). I was lied to by the staff about what happened and was told several different stories. I pushed for more answers and when I asked for video footage to confirm that the story was in fact true, I was told this snapshot was all that they had access to. Doesn't make sense. How can you snap a screenshot is a video but not retrieve the video? Sketchy. The manager was also able to call me and talk to me but when I mentioned I wanted video footage she claimed she was in Mexico and didn't have great service. (Even more sketchy) Moral of the story: if you care about your pet, DO NOT BRING THEM TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. The staff do not care about you, or your pet. They also have no sense of how many dogs are in their care on a daily basis and never ask for updated vaccinations. They travel through small dog rooms with big dogs and spray the small dogs with water bottles as a way to get them to back up. Who knows what's really going on behind those doors!! The worst part is, I put so much trust in these people and they failed me AND MY DOGS....over and over again. But I'm so glad I pulled them out and found somewhere that actually. Editing in response to the comment by the "manager": The truth is in the photo. Everything is true. I NEVER write reviews but felt necessary for other people to know in advance to not send their pets here. The only thing that is true about the managers response is that some things are left out. I left out the lies that their staff fed me about how my dog was doing. I left out the fact that I had to read my dogs demeanor to know to ask for more info. I was told that he was being kept in the grooming room because of his anxiety AND PRIOR ISSUES (like coming home with numerous scrapes. Not communicated to me. Add: my dog doesn't play). I left out the fact that they took it upon themselves to put him back into a large dog room without my consent. I left out that I came early one day and found him in a room I was told he wasn't going to be in. If there is ANY review that the public should listen to....it's this one. Do. Not. Send your beloved animals here, they do not treat them fairly, kindly or respectfully. They don't care about anything but money and leaving at the end of the day. It's written all over the staffs face. Their attitude is often rotten too! Go somewhere else! Pay the little extra, your pets will thank you and it'll definitely be worth it! I ABSOLUTELY love this place. Not to mention my 10 month old loves it too. They are friendly, caring, and they love dogs. My dog goes out of his mind when he knows he's going and is exhausted when he comes home. Gabriel, Jennifer, Junior, Emily and the girl that is there at night when I pick him up (I forgot her name)are absolutely the sweetest bunch. When I use to take my dog to Red Dog I wasn't happy with them and my dog wasn't to thrilled to go either. And I only know that now because seeing how happy he is when he goes to Playful Paws, says a lot. Always clean too! read more

In March, my 67-year-old mother was hit by a car while walking her dog, Wally. Her pelvis was fractured, and after striking her head against the pavement, she bled into her brain, giving her brain damage. For the first month, I wasn't sure if she was going to wake up, live, or die; when she stabilized, we didn't know for months if the brain damage would be so bad that Wally could never go home again. The bad news is that Wally couldn't go home at the end of the day. My Mom's brain damage was too severe, and after the accident, she could no longer remember her time with Wally at all. That's true to this day, four months later. The good news is we had Deedee at Playful Paws to take care of him. By a random stroke of luck, she was the one the police called when my mom was hit by the car. Deedee took Wally into her own family for months, keeping him happy, healthy, and safe, while we waited to learn if my mother would ever be able to come home again. And when it turned out my Mom was never going to be well enough to take care of Wally again, Deedee helped find him a new forever home. I hesitate to mention that Deedee made an exception for us, that she never asked for a dime in payment. Playful Paws is a business, after all, and I would hate for the blackhearted to take advantage of her kindness. Even so, that kindness should be lauded. I don't know where I'd be without it. Without Deedee's generosity of spirit, Wally would either be dead, in a shelter, or somewhere worse right now. Now, if my Mom ever gets better and remembers Wally, she might not be able to get her dog back. But I can at least look her in the eye and tell her he's being well taken care of, and know it to be true. Playful Paws cares about people as much as it cares about dogs. And that's a lot. You should trust them with both your dog's heart, and your own. read more

I brought my dog, Stew, in for the required evaluation and then started him at daycare. Keep in mind my dog has been to numerous doggie daycares since I have moved with him a few times. My first impression was that this place had a horrific odor even though it was a weekend with fewer dogs onsite. Then, I picked my dog up 3 days in a row after daycare and he smelled worse than anything I had ever experienced. I had to drive with the windows down and bathe him at home. On the third day of pickup he literally had fecal matter caked in his fur. I pointed it out to the employee and she told me it was shampoo spray that I requested she spray him with as, once again, he was filthy. Not only was this situation handled poorly, but the place is a cesspool and breeding ground for sickness for pets. I tried to give the facility the benefit of the doubt, but am still waiting to hear back from anybody from this place a week later. But, I should have known because they didn't return my calls prior to this incident; I should have followed my gut. Also, the parking situation is a mess. Their "lot" holds about 4-5 cars with 2-3 of them being staff cars that are always there. That leaves about 1-2 spots, so you get trapped in your car in the lot while other patrons park you in as they get their pet. Keep in mind there is only 1 person manning the front desk pick-ups and phone, so the process is not quick. Overall, I didn't feel like my dog was in a safe and clean environment. Their poor communication made me worry that if there was ever a problem I would never know. It would also have been a matter of time before my dog got a bacterial infection from the unsanitary conditions. Plus, I shouldn't have to wash fecal matter off of my pet every day. I would have loved to have tried to figure out if there was a better way to resolve this with someone from the shop, but it appears that they don't reply to customers. They may be cheaper, but you definitely get what you pay for. read more

My dog is a rescue and has always done wonderful at doggy daycare. We recently moved to this area and decided to try this place out. My pup is nervous when meeting new people and barks but has never once bitten anyone. Once he gets a good sniff of them he then is the sweetest dog and plays well with everyone. These people would not even give him a chance. They were so unprofessional. Hid behind the door and rejected him flat out. How can you call yourselves a doggy daycare and behave this way? They shaved our goldendoodle and cut both his ears. Our puppy was very fluffy and they said they would only cut the length of his fur by half but instead they shaved him. He did haves few knots but it doesn't excuse shaving his entire body. He was also bleeding from both his ears and they said it was because of "allergies". Doesn't make any sense, we're going to the vet next week to have them looked at by a professional and find out if there's anything actually wrong. Not a good experience. read more

Very professional and knowledgeable about dogs and even down to the breed. I did a lot of research on dog boarding and I am very happy I found such good care takers. Highlights are (1) they screen the dogs before taking them for temperament (2) they have open space for dogs to roam; in other words, unless there's inclement weather, dogs are able to run around outdoors under supervision! I fee awful when my dog is locked up in a kennel. (3) staff is very nice such as Nicky and others. It is slightly more expensive but worth every penny! read more

This place is awesome !!! We aren't from Kemah and attended a birthday party near the Boardwalk. I did my research to find the perfect place to board my fur babies overnight. We were both immediately impressed when my husband I walked inside. It's very clean and doesn't have that "wet dog" smell. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I was very pleased to see the big picture window looking out the back and watching the dogs run and play and frolic in the swimming pool. My babies thoroughly enjoyed their time and they were very happy to see us. I will definitely board them again at Playful Paws if the need arises again. I took my dog to her "temper test" there. Not even an hr she was there and they told me they can't take her. She did not "play with the dogs" and they felt she was mortified. Does not sound like my dog whatsoever! Plus it is her first time there .. she is not going to just go play the second shes there. She doesn't know what to expect so of course she is going to act quiet. She cant go because she did not play with their " group"... sounds lame as fuck. They needed an excuse to not take my dog in for some reason .. it was so obvious and sketchy. The girl wouldn't even show us what the place looked like before leaving our dog there. I'm sorry to have to update this review as I had trusted this facility for years. My dog was bitten while boarding there last week and nobody called me or the local number I provided in case of emergency. Instead I was surprised with a scabbed, inch-long wound and bruises when picking him up. My dog was not taken to the vet and the biter was not segregated because, as the owner said to me on the phone, "this sort of thing happens all the time." Really. And your website says that agressive behavior is not tolerated. At the very least I should have been called to make a decision about seeing a vet myself. No recompense or apology was offered when I spoke with the owner, just excuses. Needless to say I'll be finding another place for my dog to stay. read more

My two pugs go to Playful Paws and they LOOOOOOOOVE it here!! We have boarded them a few times and that has also worked well. The true sign that all is well here is two-fold: 1. My dogs come home and are exhausted as they have been playing all day 2. When we say "want to go to doggie daycare" to our dogs, we better be ready to get in the car and go as our two dogs get SOOOOO excited! Whooooo! Stink-key! After reading all of the uber-positive Yelp reviews here, I was shocked by the conditions when we arrived. It was a weekend morning, so there weren't too many dogs there. The indoor facilities were dark, dank, dirty, and even with the small number of dogs there, the smell was so pungent my nose was burning the minute we walked through the door. I was very hesitant to leave my dog for there for the two hour (paid) trial. We have used other area daycares in the past and the conditions here were far below any of the others I've visited and/or patronized. I would strongly encourage that clients who have never visited other doggy daycares take some time to shop around before settling for the conditions Playful Paws has to offer. Oh, and when we picked up my dog? After just two hours? He reeked of the amonia-like smell of the place for the rest of the day. read more

we have a nice big dog & he is in middle age. he loves his food & people. Playful Paws staffs are nice to him. we left him there whenever we go away for long period of time. 2 weeks during summer, a week during fall,.... it was our first time during holidays, but we didn't worry about it. when we picked him up, we're bit surprised by over 20 dogs in small room. I mean, if it was summer time, they may go out side & play long time. but it was winter & snowed in... but way too many of them in small room & all excited!! our dog got cut on his ear, the other dog probably bit him while they were playing.. but it wasn't look good at all. he was exhausted & shook his body for many hours. if he was just exhausted, then find... but he got pink eye & cut plus shaking body?? I was shock!! Everytime I bring my dog Ace for grooming there he smells sooooooo good. I don't know what they use but when I brind my dog to petsmart he doesnt smell that good and he doesnt look scared when I pick him up! It is also affordable, the people are very nice! My dog Jerry has been attending day care here at least two days every week since we moved to the area five months ago. I did my research on all doggy day cares near my home and office before ultimately choosing Playful Paws. My dog is happy every time we pull into their parking lot for drop off, and he is always exhausted when I pick him up after work. They have slightly longer hours than most day care facilities in the area. Even 30 minutes longer is a big deal to me in case I work a bit late. They charge what I found to be the most reasonable price when compared to the other nearby facilities. The dogs are not crated at any point during the day, which I found to be very common elsewhere. There is a large fenced in area at the rear of the building, and the dogs spend most of the day out there when weather is permitting. For all of these reasons combined, I am happy to recommend their services and will continue to bring Jerry in for stimulation and exercise while I'm at work! read more

We have taken our dog to Playful Paws several times for vacations that weren't dog-friendly, generally 3-5 days at a time. For the most part, it has gone very well - she comes back happy, the employees always remember her, and the price is average for the area. We did have one bad incident there, with both good and bad consequences. The incident itself reflected poorly on PP, however, Melissa was really great in dealing with it. Moreover, it was a one-time thing that is incredibly unlikely to happen again. I was very prepared to write a bad review after what happened but Melissa couldn't have been more apologetic and helpful. After talking to her a few times, I really believe that she's a good owner who really cares about the dogs and their well-being. I would recommend this place to others, in large part now because of her. read more

After a week long family vacation, we came to pick up our dog from Playful Paws and found her to be filthy with poop all over her, hungry and with a low activity level that I would classify as depression. I don't know what happened, but my dog is traumatized and my heart is broken. Based off of the Yelp reviews and a first visit, we thought Playful Paws would be a safe place for our 1 year old dog - Boy were we wrong!!! Although, we had been told she did fine and played with other dogs, she is not the same dog we dropped off a week ago. We phoned in during our vacation to check on her and was told each time she was fine. Prior to dropping her off, she was active, playful and loved cuddling. Now she would prefer to spend majority of her days in bed in her cage. I don't know what happened during her time at Playful Paws and probably will never know, but she is not the same. Not to mention, the placed smelled awful when she was picked up. It was not like that when we dropped her off. BEWARE!!!! This place is not safe for dogs. read more

I use Yelp pretty extensively, but have never once written a review. I'm much too lazy, you see. Given the excellent experiences I've had with Playful Paws however, it would be criminal not to share. I moved to Boston (well, Charlestown actually) from the Connecticut countryside with my two dogs (corgis) in tow. Back in CT, they lived in houses with big fenced in yards, doggie doors, and lots of wide-open space with very little contact with other dogs. Moving into an apartment in the city has, as you may guess, proven to be quite the transition. Thank god then for the doggie daycare at Playful Paws. From the outset they have been incredibly accommodating, and have taken the challenge of socializing my dogs without missing a step. My dogs love going to daycare, they come back exhausted, they're getting better and better with city living, the pickup and drop-off service that they offer is a life-saver, and everything is reasonably priced. In my deepest, darkest moments during this transition, I had some worries that I would need to find alternate living arrangements for my dogs. Since discovering Playful Paws, I'm confident that won't need to happen. I would unhesitatingly recommend Playful Paws to anybody looking for doggie daycare or boarding, and I'm grateful to them for helping me find a way to live comfortably with my dogs. read more

I wish there were more stars to give Melissa and the whole Playful Paws family because they are just that amazing!! After having an awful experience with PetSmart's doggie day camp (they forgot to feed my then 6-month old puppy!!), I decided to find a more suitable outlet to allow my puppy play and exercise while being in a safe and caring environment. After my initial phone conversation with Melissa, I knew that she took the health of ALL the dogs who were there seriously - I mean, EVERY potential client has to have DOCUMENTED proof of all the dogs' vaccinations, vet info, etc., and that gave me a good feeling. I decided to bring my puppy for a 2-3 hour trial visit to see if the environment and other dogs were compatible with her (as well as give the Playful Paws staff a chance to see how my puppy interacted with them and other dogs). When I came to pick her up, she was so out of breath (which was a sight I have never seen before)!! When I took her to doggie day camp at PetSmart for an entire day, she would come back to me with as much energy as when I left her; however, she passed out after playing there in just those few hours at Playful Paws!! Although there was a fee, I was glad to pay it after seeing how exhausted my puppy was (and she is a high-energy Vizsla-Lab mix)... There are some things you can't put a price on, and this is by far one of those things!! Since my initial visit, I have been bringing my puppy on a regular basis (whether I can't get home to walk her during the days or if she needs some extra time to burn off some energy). From time to time, I even board her overnight to give myself a break (to clean, run errands, etc. without interruptions) and to give my puppy the exercise and playtime she needs, and I can say that the staff at Playful Paws take care of my girl as if she was one of their own!! I always feel confident leaving my puppy with Playful Paws because I know that she is always well taken care of (they know her and EVERY dog there by name!) and she has a safe environment to release all of her energy and play. They offer flexible hours and VERY affordable prices. I am grateful for Melissa and the whole Playful Paws family, and will continue to support their business for as long as I am a dog owner. I have been bringing my four year old GSP to Playful Paws for almost three years. My dog needs the exercise and playtime with other dogs. I've been bringing my fur babies (I have a 5 year old Boxer, who's nuts, and a not-quite-2 year old Griffin, who's also nuts) to Playful Paws for almost a year, and I've only lived in the area for 6 months. Yeah. You do the math. We knew we were moving to the area, and wanted our pups to be comfortable at a place nearby long before the added stress of changing houses. Playful Paws came recommended to us, and we dropped our dogs off for their trial, for which I was more than willing to pay. Playful Paws is a business, not a free babysitting service. If I'm going to ask the staff to pay extra attention to my pups while they're feeling out their places in the pack with their new friends, hell yes I'm willing to pay for it. So their doggie adventures at PP began. My boyfriend was doing the drop off/pickup, since he was usualy in the area, and always came home with two exhausted, sometimes a little dirty but always happy, dogs. "Daycare" came to be the magic word in my house. Good stuff. My first time there was... surprising, to say the least. A little back story: My Boxer has had pancreatic issues most of her life, and as a result, she's quite small, and always on the thin side. We manage to fatten her up once in a while, but being a Boxer, and therefore insane, she inevitably burns it off. Fast forward to the first time I ever picked up my pups from Playful Paws, and Melissa met me in the lobby. Her first words to me, after telling her which doggies I was aiming to retrieve, were "Hang on a second. Let's talk. Why is your dog so skinny?" No mincing words, no delicate toeing around the subject - she was about to grill me on why it looks like my dog doesn't eat enough. After talking it through and explaining my pup's digestive issues, she said "Sure, great, yeah... so how are we going to fatten her up?" I love this woman. Her business is dogs. Dogs are her business. If you want a pretty daycare, where everything is white and crisp and smells of bleach, you are looking for a facility where your dog is spending the day in a crate while the staff constantly cleans the place to impress the people. If you're looking for a doggie report card, or some touchy feely experience, have a baby and get a nanny. If you want your dogs to come home pooped, and the kind of staff that really isn't interested in your sensitivities but very much concerned about the health & happiness of their real customers (the 4-legged ones), this is the place for you. My dogs LOVE Melissa. LOOOoooOOooooOOOVE her. I have to spell the word "daycare" in my house because if I say it, and they're not going, there is mayhem. I have been coming here for a little over a year now and the service is great! You can not beat the prices either! The staff is amazing and patient with my pup. They do a really good job updating you while you're away and I've always trusted them with my pup for long boarding periods. The only downfall of boarding is that my pup does come back a little stinky BUT you can say that about all boarding places. I had my dog groomed here last week. Alvaro, the groomer, was excellent. He was very sweet with my dog and calmed her down when we arrived. They gave me a two hour window at drop off but called an hour later and were already done. When I picked her up she was very happy and looked great. Jake absolutely loves going there. He is always wiped out when we pick him up. He doesn't really like people and can be very skittish around strangers, but he absolutely ADORES everyone that works at Playful Paws. He reacts to them with the same joy that he reacts to me with when I get home from work. It's really comforting to know that the staff cares about the dogs as much as they do. All of the dogs that I have interacted with while dropping him off or picking him up are sweet as can be. The only thing I can say is that sometimes he's a little smelly when we pick him up, but that's to be expected when he's been romping around with 40 other dogs all day :) read more

I have a 6 year old Bassett, She has been to 3 doggie daycares and let me say Playful Paws will be her last. The owner is super cool and approachable. They love all the dogs, and they treat them with great care. My dog had an infection from a thorn that was stuck in her paw over the weekend (I live near woods) and the owner noticed it right away, when I picked her up she had me take her to the vet. The vet told me I was lucky to have noticed it because if I waited a day or two longer it would have costed me a lot of $$$. I owe playful Paws a lot for that one. This is also the first place where I haven't had to wear a gas mask to when picking up Lucy. The Hours are great and the price is cheap only $20 a day and they watch her from 7-5. They offer boarding and grooming for a very reasonable price. They're the only people that my dog will let trim her nails (the vet quits after two nails and she runs and hides from me whenever I break out the clippers.), and they file them down to the wick. I strongly recomend that if you live or work in the Malden area send your dog here. read more

We take our dog Bruschi here. He is 8 years old and recently lost his life long sister who passed this winter. He was very lonely so we wanted to bring him some where for socializing. Staff is super friendly and caring. Lots of great space for our dog to run around and socialize with other dogs. Great prices and convenient location. We are very happy at Playful Paws! read more

A loving home away from home for your dog! We have a small anxious pooch and was nervous about leaving him for an extended time. Luckily a friend recommended Playful Paws to us and we could not be happier with their TLC. Bogie was nurtured and loved during every minute of his stay. The owner takes small guests to her home as this is more comforting to them. Due to an airline strike, out trip was extended 2days. Excellent communication allayed my fears and Bogie was able to extend his vacation also. He ran out of food but was taken care lovingly as one of their own dogs. I cannot thank DeeDee, Christine,Gabe,Bel and crew enough! Bogie will definitely be spending his next vacation at Playful Paws. read more

I've brought two puppies here twice -- once for a couple hours to get the pups used to the place (and to let them experience me picking them back up again), and the second for a 4-day stay. Both times the staff was helpful, flexible, and professional. Playful Paws is hands-down the BEST doggie daycare around. Our pup Chase (Husky/German Shepherd Mix) has been going here now for many years and our pup Izzie (Weimaraner) for the past two years. Both dogs have attended daycare too many times to count! And have stayed for extended boarding many times over different durations, this past June/July over two plus weeks. Chase is an "old man" and we were worried to leave him over this past Thanksgiving, he is very fragile these days. Dee Dee, the manager, was AMAZING! She took extra special care of him and even took him to her home over the four nights he stayed. That just blew me away, Dee Dee's kindness and extra care exhibited. You will not find a more friendly and caring group of doggie daycare workers around. We always feel our pups are in the best of care when they are at Playful Paws. Plus, they come home "pooped-out" and you know they are having a great time while you are away when that happens! Additionally we have had the groomers do nail trims and dog washes too, which is really convenient because they can do this while they are boarding or there for the day. Ive been taking Keeva, my now almost 6 yr old Choc lab to Playful Paws pretty much since they opened. Melissa the owner is amazing! She is always present and has a handle on every dog and everything that goes on at her business. I love that the dogs are taken care of so well and are interacted with- alot of places just throw them in a room or yard and thats it. Everytime I drive by there Keeva gets all excited thinking shes going to "school". There are no aggressive dogs there, the employees are amazing with the dogs, they have tons of space and the place is super clean. I could go on forever about what I love but the only thing that really matters, and true dog lovers/owners will understand- Keeva loves it and she's safe there! Nuff said! read more
