Our pup loves it here -- and the staff are attentive, the place is clean and you can see the dogs enjoy themselves

Updated to add that I spoke with the new owners. They reached out after seeing my experience and seemed genuinely upset about what happened, and how it was handled. They have offered to reimburse me for medical expenses. The comment below from the new owners is accurate, and it was a relief to hear the changes they are making when they called me. It's been an about a month, I've thought long and hard about this post. On Monday, June 17th I dropped my dog off at daycare. A place he has been going (and loved) for years. At 1pm I got a call from the employee there, saying that my dog was attacked, and that I needed to get him immediately, and bring him to the vet. They thought he had 1 wound.. he had 3 (3 bad ones, but I keep finding scabs from others). He ended up with 10 staples, an oral antibiotic, and injection antibiotics for 21 days. This happened on a Monday, by Thursday I knew something was very wrong and took him back to my Amazing Vet. The wound that they didn't staple (they try not to close dog bites because their mouths are gross) was infected beyond what the oral antibiotics could handle, and had become much worse. They were considering surgery to remove the infection and close the wound... Thankfully they tried another route first, and the injection antibiotics did the trick. He is still wearing a shirt to protect the wounds, he is still on anti inflammation medication, he is still recovering. Playtime Pet Resort (formerly Play All Day) in Exeter, does not have a bite policy. And, because my baby tried to run away from the dogs attacking him, they do not have clear video footage of the attack. They say they can't identify the dogs that attacked him (the vet confirmed it was more than 1). They attempted to placate me by saying "it happened right at the feet of the employee"... unfortunately, the other DOGS (plural), were not expelled. Those dogs that attacked mine are still there and there is nothing I can do about it. Please be aware. My boy loved it there for the last 4 years (split between Hampton and Exeter). I loved the convenience of them being in town, and picking up a tired dog at the end of the day. However, he will never go back. It is no longer a safe space for him. Please read all reviews for this business AND Play All Day (Exeter),before choosing the best place for your dog. I hope this will prevent any other families from experiencing an "incident" like this. read more

My pup has been going here for about 7 months. She loves it and is always tired when she comes home from playing. All the staff are great and welcome my dog by name when she arrives. She did get kennel cough in the beginning , but that was more of our fault as she had her vaccine and we didn't know we were supposed to wait 2 weeks. I always look forward to seeing her playing with her friends on Facebook. read more

My pup loves all of her doggie and human friends at Play All Day. She's been going to both the Salisbury and Newington one for about 2 years. I have and more importantly, my pup has no complaints. When we show up, my dog's tail is wagging, she can't go in the building quick enough. She is greeted with enthusiasm by the staff there. They make me feel like my dog is their favorite. (I'm certain they make all owners feel that way.). We love it there. read more

My dog has been going to play all day for years. Comes home tired, loves the staff, can't wait to get in there!

Play all day is an overcrowded, understaffed nightmare with worse hygiene standards than a latrine. The turf isn't drained, causing a buildup of urine and feces leading many dogs to be sent home sick including my own and many of my friends dogs as well who fell victim to this place. read more

I would not bring my dog here. It looks run down and dirty. My moms dog got a weird foot fungus after coming here. Her dog also for a month after would have issues with his breathing he would grasp for air after coming here as if he had damage to his wind pipe. My coworker then told us that while she was in Mexico that this daycare called her to tell her that her dog was now paralyzed while being there. They have a bunch of teenage girls with braces watching the dogs. And they throw dogs in to the small play groups that are to big and like wise the other way around. read more

This was the first time my puppy stayed at a kennel. She stayed for a half day and stayed the night. The staff was nice and answered all my questions. She seemed to have enjoyed herself and was nice and tired from all the fun. I give it a three star though because she came home with fleas and a cold that infected her eye. I wish I could have left feeling a little more confident about the sanitation. read more

Play All Day Exeter was recommended to me by a neighbor who is very careful about her dog's care. Before I boarded my dog I took my dog to the facility to see if it would enjoy a day visit for the afternoon. When I picked up my dog he came to me with a wagging tail. I felt comfortable with my decision to board him. When I returned from my trip and arrived at the facility to pick him up I was presented with my board bill and as I was paying I was then given his belongings all clean then they brought my dog to me and I was horrified at his appearance and demeanor then the strong odor of urine was overwhelmingly. He was matted did not acknowledge my presence walk with head down as if he was in a stupor. I was deeply hurt by his condition and wanted to cry. I just wanted to leave and give him a bath at home and we left. I couldn't imagine why he didn't receive better care. Needless to say I wouldn't recommend this facility to anyone. And yes he did come down with Kennel Cough five days later after leaving the facility. read more

Wouldnt give even 1 star but had to in order to leave a review. After they made me get my dog spayed and all her shots spend all that money that started making up excuse after excuse for why my dog wasn't a good fit for their disgusting place of employment. Have fun getting diseases as well as your dog. The girls their always look high or are full of piercings looks nasty read more

I love Play All Day but my dog, Roxy, loves it even more!! I have left Roxy for daycare and for overnight boarding and she always comes home totally exhausted but totally happy and healthy! I absolutely love that they upload pictures daily so people can see their dogs and lets us know they are having fun! I can leave for the weekend and I don't have to worry for one second about Roxy because I know that she is in great hands! The staff is friendly and knowledgable! Roxy went to daycare today and has been sleeping ever since, now that's what I call a great deal! Bring your pup here, you won't be disappointed! read more

We bring our pup to the Play All Day in Salisbury. He always has a great time and I love that they post pictures everyday on Facebook. Their prices are super reasonable, especially for boarding. Compared to other dog boarding locations, it's wonderful that the dogs are only in a kennel at night and get to interact and be active with other dogs all day. read more

Doesn't look like much when you drive past but play all day Exeter has taken great care of my Dog Atticus for several years on multiple overnight stays when we would go on vacation, as well as weekly visits to get his energy out. Most days he would be so tired from playing that he would sleep right when we got home. Never a bad day at play all day! read more

Now 5 years later we still use Play All Day, not only for Henry but for our Aussie puppy Dobie who is soon to be a year old. It's so comforting knowing that whenever I need to go away without my pups they have a place to be where I know they'll be safe and well taken care of read more

My dog has been enjoying PAD for two years but I've noticed in that time that there are more and more dogs. In the pictures they post on Facebook they look like they are sometimes shoulder to shoulder. It's not unusual that my dog doesn't make it into the pics, despite dozens of dogs that are pictured. I'm concerned they may have met capacity and the pups don't have as much room to play. It also concerns me that the overcrowding could lead to more aggression and illness. Has anyone else had these concerns or have any insights about this? I hope I am wrong about these concerns because my dog howls (literally) with excitement every time we pull up to it and they make it incredibly convenient to drop off and pick up. read more

Don't bring puppies to this facility. I brought my 5 month old puppy here. She's very sweet, but has high energy and LOVES other dogs. Being well aware that some adult dogs don't get along with puppies, I asked beforehand if her age or energy level would be an issue. I was told it wasn't a problem. She came home with scarring on her jugular where another dog had drawn blood-- a huge bite mark--all teeth outlined kind of mark. When I approached management about this, they basically told me it couldn't possibly have happened there. They told me they had watched her "at all times", and they "would've seen it happen." So, basically they "didn't see" my 5 month old puppy grabbed by the neck with enough force to create a bite mark that lasted for 2 weeks....Or if they actually did see her, they chose not to report it. I take her to the dog park all the time, and not once did another dog leave a bite like this one. I'm also not the only one of my friends/colleagues who this has happened to from P.A.D.--I know several people who've picked their dogs up with signifcant bites and scarring. It's a shame, because it's well priced, and convenient, (right next door to me) but I'm taking my dog elsewhere. read more

We were in Exeter for work and wanted to try out a doggie day care. We were so lucky to find Play All Day in Exeter, NH. Our dog had an excellent time and was completely exhausted when we brought her to the hotel. It was so nice to know she was playing and having a great time while we were at work. I liked that we could check out the Facebook page and find photos and videos of all of the dogs playing and having a great time. The staff is very friendly and signing up was very quick and easy. I highly recommend Play All Day to anyone looking for a quality place staffed by people who truly care about dogs and their owners. I really loved how we got a report card on the first day saying how everything went and it also noted her favorite new dog pals. Thanks again for everything! read more

Awesome place! My lab is like my son, and naturally I want the best for him. I had a bad experience with the barking dog, our vet recommended PAD. Best advice. The dogs actually play, post Facebook pics all day, and Jackson is always exhausted when he comes home. They seem like natural dog people, and that they actually want to be there. The first sign I had was in day one filling out the forms. The manager said hello to 10 plus dogs that came in over 5 minutes all by name. That's customer service! read more

My dog Piper has been going here for a few months and she LOVES it!!! She is only 6 months old so she plays with the smaller dogs and puppies. She pals around with the same dogs every week, and comes home exhausted and happy every time. Every staff member knows who she is, and Kerri the manager has always been great answering all my questions and calming any anxieties i had. I plan on using them for boarding as well in the future. Worst grooming service I have ever experienced! I recently brought my yorkie for their grooming service. When I picked her up, her hair had been completely butchered. Half of her face had the hair cut short and sticking out, while the other half remained uncut. Her hair had not been trimmed on the top of her head or legs. Bottomline, I would not recommend this service to anybody. The lack of attention to detail is extremely concerning. read more

Both family dogs love to go to Play All Day!!! Even the slightest mention of going riles them both up with excitement, until they leap out of the car and drag me through the front door ready to play with their friends. The staff is fantastic and truly seem to love each and every dog as if they are their own. When they post photos of the dogs playing, they always have huge smiles on their faces. read more

My 8+ year old has been going since he was a pup and the experience has been great. Kerri loves my boy nearly as much as I do. We recently brought home a new Aussie puppy and he has started attending too. After his second visit, we realized that his litter mate was going as well. They helped me to coordinate times so that the two of them could reunite. After two months apart they played with each other all day like they were never separated and hopefully they will get more opportunities to play together. It was just one more example how they go above and beyond for our pups. read more

We've taken 3 of our dogs there. Our present guy loves it and comes home wiped out. The staff really care about the dogs and know them. Kerri is great and truly loves the dogs. We are very comfortable leaving our dog there when we go on vacation knowing that he is in very capable hands and that he will be so tired out at the end of each day he will never miss us! read more
