Andy Payne has been our contractor since 2007 when we bought a fixer-upper. The project was done in…read morethree phases. The first phase was a gut renovation on the house, including all new electric wiring and plumbing and conversion from oil to propane. We completely renovated one bathroom and created a second in what was a small bedroom. Custom stone work on the outside of the house and new cement-based shingles on the house. New wide oak flooring throughout the first floor, new kitchen, an elevator, a partially finished basement rec room and extraordinary details throughout, such as custom woodworking in many rooms. After the first phase, I wasn't interested in estimates from any other contractors. This was my responsibility to oversee, as my husband didn't have the time to deal with the details. I was extremely pleased that Andy listened to me and more importantly, not only heard what I was saying, but also discussed it in a way that was professional and thoughtful. The end result of our many discussions led to a perfect result. The second phase was an addition to the main floor adding a new master bedroom suite, laundry room and front entrance. The third phase was a pool and pool house. The pool house has a stone façade, cedar interior, shower and changing room, two-piece powder room, custom benches, storage and space for a refrigerator. The attached pavilion has a cedar ceiling, gas lighting (also around the pool decking). We had unexpected drainage issues and these were dealt with quickly and thoroughly We appreciate of the high level of sub-contractors Andy retains; and their sensitivity and deference to someone's living space, especially during phase two. What could have been a very difficult period of having the addition put on with the daily presence of workers was surprisingly easy. They were all gentlemen and very neat. We admire the craftsmanship of our home everyday and are so grateful for Andy's expertise and professionalism. I very heartily recommend him.

Previous blocked review below from 4/20/2015: I hired Wagner Pools to build a high end swimming pool project, patio, retaining walls, and pool house in the late fall of 2013. I had always wanted to build a nice pool project for my family and for entertaining. I have many friends that have used Wagner and they all told me over the years that Wagner is the best. They lived up to there reputation. I had a somewhat difficult site that proved to not be a problem for Wagner. They constructed a 19' x 40' rectangle , gunite swimming pool with a raised spa that was veneered with fieldstone to match my my Wagner installed retaining walls. The pool and spa are controlled by a state of the art computer control system that I can control from my iPhone. This enables me to turn the spa heat on as I'm on my way home from work, which is wonderful. I installed a recessed automatic cover to keep the pool locked up when not in use and the heat in. I installed their in-floor cleaning system, ozone/uv sanitizing, Tahoe Blue pebble finish, LED lighting, and underwater speakers. All were well worth it. Wagner's masonry work is top notch and looks beautiful. There was town required site drainage that was required to be installed and Wagner took care of this with ease. The pool house tops off the project by creating another recreation area to relax in away from the house. My family and I have very much been enjoying relaxing, exercising, and kids playing all summer long. I highly recommend Wagner!
