I went to Plaza Azteca for dinner with a friend this past Friday around 7. The place was pretty packed, but we found parking just fine and snagged two seats at the bar without having to wait. Our bartender's name was Karen and she did an awesome job of checking on us regularly. We were quickly given menus, chips and salsa, and ordered our drinks. Not a huge fan of the salsa, it's watery and flavorless, but the chips are yummy. I got the pomegranate margarita, and my friend had the mango tropical margarita. They are large but I didn't feel mine was too strong, and we both really liked the taste of them. We also got the guacamole, which they make in front of you so you can tailor it to your taste. It was delicious and they give you enough to bring home, so it's worth the price. For my meal I ordered the birria tacos. I felt they were a bit dry and I noticed in 2/3 of my tacos all the meat was to one side, so a few bites were just tortilla I thought the consommé was good and I ordered a side of rice and refried beans, which I enjoyed. My friend got the steak burrito fajitas and she loved her food. I would go back. I really like the service and the drinks, and I think it's a fun place to grab a bite on the weekend. The food is worth a try but I wouldn't recommend the birria tacos.

I don't know why there's so many negative reviews because when I tried this place it was good. They have ample parking and the restaurant is huge. Lot's of sitting and a nice bar area as well. They also have amazing table side guacamole and ceviche. Both the guacamole & ceviche and hits! They are honestly a must have when coming to this restaurant but trust me you will be full if you don't have a lot of people with you lol. Don't order those two items if you're going to order a meal. They are huge and will get you full. For me meal, I ordered the ribeye tacos and they were perfect! The steak was very flavorful and the meal was great! I'll definitely be back to try other dishes.

First time here. Friend said the food was great. I ordered a tall draft Dos Equis the glass was cold the beer was warm. We ordered the Queso Fundido choriqueso dip, very oily, and the meat tasted like Hamburg not sausage. I ordered the Birria Tacos.l, these were the worst I have ever eaten. The looked good, the meat was very dry and over cooked, the extra beef broth was like dirty water. The rice and beans had no flavor. The service was ok, the server was slow and not friendly. The ambiance was typical to a Mexican restaurant. In all only one out of the five liked their food. Very disappointed!

I had to travel up to Massachusetts on Monday and I was quite disappointed with the lack of a New England accent on anyone. We used to be a proper country. In any event, on Monday, I went to Mexica Burrito Grill. I met a man, on the line in front of me who insisted this place was good. I was skeptical because, I don't know this guy and why was he being so friendly? I ignored the warning signs and assumed he may be correct as he too was a husky gentleman. I ordered a burrito bowl with carnitas. I told them to include the rice and beans, because a man needs fuel that sticks to the ribs, along with double carnitas, cheese, and nothing else that sounded like it belonged in a rabbit's lunch. No vegetables, no salsa, no cilantro trying to ruin a perfectly good meal. They delivered. The carnitas were delish, properly seared, and tasted like actual pork that had been treated with respect (salt, heat, and time). The rice and beans did their job, simple, hearty, and not pretending to be anything fancy. No lectures about "fresh ingredients" or where the avocado came from. No one cares, Chad. Just a solid bowl of meat and starch, which is how God intended bowls to be used. I ate it back at the hotel with a black coffee and a pocketknife for portion control. Felt like I could split logs afterward. This is acceptable food. I may return. Highly recommended for men who understand that beef or pork are staples, with enough rice and beans to keep the machine running.

During her last visit, I took…read moreher to a place that had good fried fish, but she mentioned that she wished it had been served with tostones (fried plantains) like they do in the Dominican Republic. Later, I remembered that I had visited Tekila's before COVID and that someone in my party had ordered fried fish with tostones. I decided this would be the perfect place to bring her. The restaurant is conveniently located right off the highway and has ample parking. When we walked in at 6:00 PM, we were surprised to find the place completely empty. I wondered if I had misread their hours, but a staff member soon came out, informed us they were open, and told us we could sit wherever we liked. One of the first things that stood out to me was that, although the restaurant advertises authentic Mexican cuisine with a Caribbean twist, the atmosphere felt more Dominican than Mexican. From the large poster featuring famous Dominicans to the overall vibe, I assumed that was the "Caribbean twist." I also noticed that roughly one-fifth of the restaurant was occupied by band equipment and a stage. When I asked our server about it, she explained that the owner is a musician and has a band that performs there a couple of nights each week. At that point, I began to think the restaurant's primary focus might be more of a bar or nightlife crowd. To start, we ordered a house margarita and a beer. Both were refreshing on a hot day. Looking over the menu, I was pleased to see three fish dishes named after places in the Dominican Republic, so I thought we were in for a treat. My mother ordered the Pescado Boca Chica, described as fried snapper served with tostones and salad. I chose the Pescado Samaná, named after an area in the Dominican Republic known for its coconut-based sauces. I also asked about the rice and beans and was told they were prepared Dominican-style. When our meals arrived, I was surprised by the portion sizes. The fish did not look particularly large, even though my mother's fish was listed on the bill as a large portion for $34.99. It also didn't have any salad dressing. My own dish appeared sad-looking, and at $36.99, I found it overpriced. The coconut sauce was decent, but I wouldn't call it delicious. The side dishes were also quite small. Overall, the food tasted okay, but for a total of $100.56 before tip, I did not feel it offered good value. The service was good, and we tipped 20% based on the total bill. I should also note that the house margarita was listed on the menu at $12, but I was charged $15. I chose not to mention it to the server and simply let it go. When I asked my mother how she would rate the experience, she gave it a 2 out of 5. I'm giving it a 3 out of 5 because there were some positive aspects, including the cleanliness of the place and service. However, the food and pricing did not justify a return visit for me.
