If you like trivia, playing games, or solving puzzles, then you will love Corinth Escape Rooms. These rooms have gone over pretty big in larger cities and metropolis areas. I'm happy to see it make its way to Corinth. I enjoy puzzles (the majority of game apps I download are puzzles) and going into a strange room, with your friends or family, and turning everything on its "ear" to get to the clues is a great way to spend 40 minutes, which does fly by so fast. There are currently 3 rooms to choose from here and there are plans to have a new one by Spring. The 'secret' to succeeding in escaping is to work together, yell out your clues, do not hoard a clue. You can make the entire TEAM fail if you try to do it all alone in your mind. Another way to succeed is to build your team with people that have varying skill sets, all of you don't need to be Liam Neeson. You need analytical thinkers, good with mathematics, natural leaders, quiet types that can see things others rush over. The Shamrock Hotel Room is a room where you and your friends/teammates are "locked" in a hotel room and must work together to find clues and solve puzzles in order to find the key to the door and escape in 45 minutes or less. EXODUS is a Bible-themed room where you must be familiar with the bible, as all the clues are related to its contents. This is a 40 minute room. This is ideal for church groups and youth bible study. The Principal's Office Is a 45 minute room and may be the harder of the two rooms not bible-related. There is a souvenir shop with T-shirts and such for sale. The rooms are only available for play Thur-Sat from 5:00-10:00 Thur, 11:00 Fri-Sat. The costs is $12.00 (Exodus)-$15.00 (other rooms) per person per room. They will probably work with you on a group rate for your business group.

It has 1,400+ acres, fishing, boating, a marina, 10 cabins, camping, a lodge, a restaurant, a swimming pool, a golf course, a three mile paved trail, three small swimming beaches, an aviary, a butterfly garden, and a visitors center and gift shop. The town surrounding this area was originally called Pickwick, after Dickens' The Pickwick Papers. This was the spot of a riverboat stop in the 1840s. The lake was named Pickwick Lake. During Roosevelt's New Deal, this was the site of a new dam, named Pickwick Dam. The 53 mile long dam was completed in 1938. In 1969, the city was purchased by the state of Tennessee to become a new state park. The state park opened in 1972. This whole area is gorgeous and has a lot of water recreation, so if you're a fisher or swimmer, this park is for you. There's not much in the way of untamed wilderness, but this park is absolutely chocked full of amenities that's sure to please every member of the family.

The trail hike, a family friendly, short and sweet, hike, with the lead of an incredible State Park Ranger. The park Ranger graciously led the way and read the story aloud. It was a family fun event. Afterwards, we were able to drive through the Christmas lights through the park. It reminded us as a similar show, from the Memphis Shelby Farms starry nights, so nice to have this here at the Pickwick State Park. There…read moreis current construction in the old tennis courts and a new entry road is being improved on the back side to gain entry from Droke Rd. There is an addition of 25 acres to be cleared and used for the park expansion with a $5.3 million budget (parking lot, and more ball fields, dressing rooms and bathrooms). It was said that it is justified by the amount of tourism dollars it'll bring in...ha! I know if I go to other states or towns I go just so I can play on their ball fields in the searing heat. God forbid they build a climbing wall or add some water features to cool off in or an outdoor theater for movies or entertaining the family as a WHOLE instead of catering to kid sports. To Each Their Own. Several decades ago, when I was a kid, there was an aluminum jet body and a couple varying height slides where the main pavilion is. Many, many, many kids have skinned themselves climbing into it and my goodness at the seared skin from sitting in that seat after it had baked in the sun. There were car shows held in and on the park grounds every year, but now the car club seems to divide its time between Arby's and Dairy Queen parking lots. This is not the greatest all around park for everyone, but it is beautiful in the Summertime with the green trees. Speaking of trees, there may not be very many left in a few years, seems to be missing one or two a year from rot or damage of some sort. There is one twisty rooted tree that I enjoy photographing. This park covers around 40 acres and there are oodles of ball fields (at least 6), 10 tennis courts now (if they replace the old courts with more tennis then it will seem somewhat of a waste for me. I have not seen a single tennis player ANY time of the day that I have been on the premises. There is a 1-mile asphalt walking/jogging trail that winds through the trees. This park is located next to train tracks and it isn't pleasant or relaxing when it rolls through, you turn up the music or just grit your teeth and wait it out. There is a soccer field, batting cages (not the high end pay-to-bat style with a machine spitting balls at you, but a toss it in the air and hit it style), 3 picnic pavilions, bathroom facilities in each end of the park. This park is NOT pet friendly. NO DOGS, NO SKATEBOARDS... I don't have a dog, but I thought the old tennis court site would've made an ideal dog park.

We became Safe Harbor members about one year ago. Our home port was Safe Harbor Aquayacht in…read moreMississippi. We arrived at Aquayacht approximately November 15th 2024. We left our boat there for the winter and left an extensive laundry list of work that we wanted to have done while we were away for the winter. We let the Marina know that we would be returning on February 15th and wanted the work completed by then. The list of work included replacing the old inverter and batteries, fixing vacuflush toilet issues, ceramic coating the entire boat, and having the pod drives taken apart and according to Greg the mechanic "bullet proofed" by ceramic coating the shafts that sometimes leak causing salt water intrusion. I can safely say that the only competent person on the service staff that we dealt with is Mark who did the electrical work on the inverter. the work was done correctly and on time. Marcus who did the plumbing work was completely incompetent. The vacuflush heads on the boat required complete disassembly and rebuilding by myself to quit leaking. The pumps ran on so much that the bellows broke on the vacuum generators requiring complete rebuilding. The work on the vacuflush system was not completed until 3 weeks after our return on February 15th. The Ceramic Coating that was done was a complete joke. The boat looks as bad if not worse than when we started. The Marina billed me for half the job and Lake Escape yachts billed me for the rest. This work was a month late. We finally told him enough was enough and we had to leave as we were already behind our departure schedule. All of this brings me to the best part. The pods were taken apart, the shafts supposedly ceramic coated to harden them so they didn't get a groove in them and leak. We had the boat professionally surveyed and all fluids tested before we purchased it in July of 2024 and was found to have no issues. In speaking with the service manager and the mechanic we were "sold" on the fact that the pods would last significantly longer if we did this. We agreed. The port pod lasted less than 6 weeks before completely filling with sea water. The Starboard pod lasted an additional 2 weeks before it too failed with salt water intrusion. Diesel Services of America replaced the first one and they said that the seals were incorrectly installed. Hinckley Yacht services in Savannah Geogia replaced the 2nd one and also said the seal was installed incorrectly. To Aquayachts credit they did pay for the first repair and after several phone calls and emails also paid the bill at Lauderdale Marine Center where the boat had to be pulled. However, they have now refused to pay for anything on the second pod even though it's the same issue. We paid $37,000 to Aquayacht for the service work done to our pods and are now stuck with an additional $28,000 bill that they refuse to pay. We will be suing them. I cannot stress enough to NOT use thier service department at all. The communication from the entire Marina was extremely poor. The general manager Pam does not return phone calls or emails. the service manager Robert is impossible to get to at all. The only positive in the whole experience was the electrical work done by Mark. We have been to alot of Safe Harbors in the last year and I have to say I am extremely disappointed in Aquayacht. We are now forced to store our boat for the winter as we lost 2 full months of our cruising time waiting for diagnosis, and repairs due to thier poor workmanship.

Covered storage is available for boats 50 foot or less. Call ahead if something bigger. They do have a great maintenance facility and great dry storage for boats under 30 foot. There storage prices are a little high on the lower size boats. That is why I gave them 4 stars. They do have a great crawfish boil / boat show in the spring that is out of this world.
