Went in for IV antibiotics after an accidental cat bite from one of my rescue kitties. I was an ER…read moretravel nurse most of my career and this was the WORST experience I've ever seen in an ER. 1. BP on arrival was 200/103. Didn't ask about chest pain. No telemetry, no EKG. DIDN'T EVER RECHECK IT - EVEN AT DISCHARGE!! 2. Didn't ask about allergies 3. Never asked my pain level 4. Did not weigh me 5. Did not reconcile my home meds 6. 12-year old resident got an attitude because I refused to take the 5-dose, 14-day rabies shot series because I TOLD HIM, the cat isn't sick!! He's MY cat, and he was sleeping on the bed RIGHT BESIDE ME!! The only reason he flipped out was he does NOT like other cats and unbeknownst to me, another kitty had been hiding in my dresser and it freaked him out when he saw him and a fight ensued. I just got caught in the crossfire. He brought THAT up 3 more times before giving me a single dose of Augmentin and a script (and an xray that I probably didn't need). I specifically asked for an IV loading dose of Unasyn and a shot of SoluMedrol since my hand was swollen to twice its normal size (also because I wouldn't be able to get the Rx filled until after work the next day) - which he purely ignored. Never checked my radial pulse or capillary refill, either.

The departments do not communicate with each other well at all. In the 80's it was a good hospital…read morefor care , but now Parkridge and Memorial are much better hospitals to go to for care critical or otherwise.

Let me tell you about my Dr & Hospital. We have always preferred Memorial Hospital downtown…read moreChattanooga. Always been very pleased with care we have received there. Nurses there have always been very kind & caring so have the technicians when I have gone in for test. I almost panicked when they were working their contract with Blue Cross. Didn't want to lose my hospital. When I we diagnosed with lung cancer I was blessed to be referred to Dr. Robert Headrick. It was explained to my husband & me exactly what would be do he for me. They took their time to make sure we understood what was happenings. During these last 6 years they have always been there for me. Dr Headrick, Dr Miller, Jeremy & Marlana make such an awesome team. Love this group! Don't let them go anywhere. They need100 stars. Keep Memorial going with Blue Cross Blue Shield!

I had to be in prone position for the procedure and arms under the table. She suddenly lowered the table, confining my arms which resulted in a huge HEMOTOMA that is on my dominate arm. Needless to say, this is going to be a bigger problem that I started out with. It is a painful and dangerous injury at my age. Will need to see another doctor for treatment for this. I had to ask for "ice" to immediately treat the rising clots. Staff very unconcerned, just discharged me .

I was warmly welcomed to labor and delivery. Nothing was forgotten. Dr. Meeca Walker is my OB. She has an incredible team at Parkridge East. You can tell they all have chemistry and work well together. Every single one of my nurses have been so genuine towards me. They have all taken their time. I truly felt like they wanted me here and were happy to help with anything. My room and bathroom were very clean. Each time I've been able to relax and enjoy time with my husband and babies. I cannot recommend this hospital enough for a wonderful experience with your family. -Caleb and Michelle Rector from Ooltewah TN.

Our daughter was born here. I would not recommend anyone have their child here. Here are some…read morehighlights: - An inexperienced doctor who misdiagnosed our newborn as likely having biliary atresia, which is a life-threatening disease requiring major surgeries in childhood and results in a lifespan of typically under 30 years old. We suffered with this prospect for several days before a different doctor immediately realized we should be sent to Erlanger for specialists to diagnose. - A nurse who completed paperwork saying my wife was physically feeling okay even though she did not actually visit our room to check on her. When confronted, she told me that's how they do it sometimes. - Nurses or techs who gossiped about my child's lab work right in front of us: "I know right. Those were like, the highest numbers I've ever seen." I could go on about nurses not wearing gloves and how bad the food was, but next to treating my baby like a circus sideshow, making us think she was going to die before us, and lying on paperwork, these seem minor.

ParkRidge Medical Center is an HCA dump! If you do not know who or what HCA is, they are the…read morelargest for profit healthcare system in the USA who is responsible for committing the large amount of Medicare Fraud worth $1.7 BILLION dollars. Currently they are under several investigations and lawsuits because of their fraud and continuously putting profits over patients. For example, a pathologist at ParkRidge Medical Center, who is still employed there, was committing MEDICAL FRAUD AND NEGLIGENCE by not looking at his GI biopsies FOR YEARS! Conservatively over 1000 patients were affected. Did HCA ever notify one patient??? NOPE! They installed new locks and cameras where the slides and paraffin blocks are stored and that was the end of that. If anyone doesn't believe this story is 100% true, ask anyone who worked in the lab at ParkRidge Medical Center from August 2022-December 2022. It happened and exemplifies how much HCA is concerned with patient care.
