I have had a couple of hiccups along the way with guys forgetting to do things like rotate tires when rebalancing them, or forget to reprogram the tire positions during the rotation. Bought 4 tires installed, asked they check TPMS as were registering on wrong positions. Picked up car and discovered over 10 PSI difference between tires, returned to have them adjust. Discovered TPMS still on wrong position so back to shop again, they reset TPMS and said "one battery is low, they change valve stems but do not check batteries during TPMS service". (What!!!, I was charged a TPMS service $36) A week later battery went out, back to shop "they will replace TPMS at cost of $240.00"!!! Then I looked at valve stems - they did not replace them as they said they did!!! Also, of course car needed front end alignment for $130, they only aligned one wheel, said "the others were close enough". read more

Got my oil changed and tires rotated, and asked for a check up for going on a road trip, when i got the appointment on line, and when i got there. They didn't say anything to me after the service, so I asked and was told All is OK. I say Tires OK. He says everything ok. On the trip, happened to get low tire pressure and having air put in, the mechanic wondered why I was driving on near bald tires. This is not good service, especially from a tire place. I'm finished. Long-ish Review: November2018 I had Plaza Auto (Arnold) install 225/65/17 Yokohama Geolander GO15s, a 55k mile tire... I got roughly 56k out of them. Fast forward 3 years l----- 3 years -----l 13November2021 I had Plaza (Arnold) install 225/65/17 Falken Wildpeak AT3W's and Rear Camber Bolts (because AxleBoy Offroad in St. Charles F*cked me back in June)... I also paid for the premium allignment package. Now, I possibly paid a little more than I would have elsewhere but these guys also brought me back into the shop and talked to me like a human. Explained to me what was goin on and what my options were if the corrected any issues. I greatly appreciate that. I cannot remember everyone's name but these dudes are professional. I have already put like 7xx miles on these Wildpeaks since the install and I am in love with them. Note: Before any price point may scare you, know that these dudes know what they're doing and are more than willing to talk you through it all before they begin work. I'm honestly so disappointed in the quality of service. A few years ago the store was amazing, super friendly and worked well with customers. Now, it's like they hardly have time to speak. Friendliness is out the window. Then.. to call someone 15 minutes before your store closes for the entire weekend to come get their car.. that's bad business. At least give someone a half hour to get up there to you guys! But knowing you're closed all of Sunday.. and then close at 4:30 Saturday just to call at 4:15 and say your car is ready is absolutely absurd and bad practice. I had to cancel my entire Sunday and early Monday plans because I was left without a car and given 15 minutes to stop what I was doing (helping family) and book it to the shop before close. I hardly had time in between that to realize I missed your call by two minutes then I had 13 minutes to make it up there. Pretty shady and shi++y if you ask me. these guys saw my son coming from a mile away. they told him that he needed new TPMs sensors when his worked just fine. then they were supposed to keep his old wheels and tires to dispose of, they even charged him for disposing them but they just put 2 in his back seat and the other 2 in the trunk. don't let your young adult kids deal with these guys, they are crooks!!! Terry is a thief and thought he was going to get by with it. I asked to have 2 new rear tires put on my car. The front tires were less than 6 months old. They took the 2 tires off the front and put the brand-new tires on front and did nothing to the two rear tires. My rear tire had a screw in it. When i came out of work i had 19 lbs of tire pressure. I went back upto Plaza tire the next morning and Terry was there in street clothes with his dog inside. Another man was at desk and Terry was sitting behind him. Terry tells me he is sorry this happened and went into the bay. Well the other guy went outside came back in and said "the manager took your tires home because they were in such good shape and they are in the back of his sons truck, can you please come back on Wed am. I went there on Wed am and no tires...Terry did not bring the tires back and I was told he was on vacation and not answering his phone. I told the man at the store this is some shady shit going on here and why does he take tires home..."So he can sell them to used tire places". Oh im sure he is and pocketing the money. Today is Thursday still no phone call...I called corporate Wed night still no response...So it is 3:45 i called there asking for terry's managers name whom i was given the name of "Kenny" but he would not give me Kennys telephone number. This guy asked if he could help...i said you know who i am...He says oh I forgot to call you...i went to his house last night and picked the tires up. How do I know these are my tires and they are not damaged ...I know a lot of people in Arnold and have received numerous complaints regarding him and they will never use Plaza Tire again. From the Front Desk to the Back Shop - Very customer service oriented, price appropriate, both fdon't desk and mechanics were fabulous and knowledgeable. I became a Customer Forever since my 1st visit -when I first moved to Arnold they were the only place that would help at 5pm at night. Normally that's ok I can leave it and return - this tho - was the day before MY 2nd appt to interview in person after a GREAT phone interviews - plus I had my normal job I had to be at, at 6 am - I gave a rough draft of my that and asked him where I should try next since I wasn't familiar with much here - he asked me to wait a sec - a very, kind mechanic volunteered, stayed late, and had my car done in 20-30 mins tops!! They both were nice, respectful, and kind people. I have had to use one other place due to an ins claim and it was an awful experience. Everything and everyone I've referred gives the whole business stellar, top-10 across the board marks. One I instance I know someone who had to have a part ordered for them and they told them quickly called them and asked if that was going to be ok, and my in law agreed to the wait, and still got the car back earlier than he anticipated. Terry Rowan is on a power trip. He has to have total control of everything. If you say black, he says white. I was emailed a report saying the inspection of my husband's truck was completed and everything was fine. My husband called to verify because they hadn't had the truck for even an hour. Terry says the inspection is not done and it will be done WHEN he calls us to let us know. This is after he told my husband not to wait at the shop because it might take quite a while. So either they already did the inspection but Terry won't admit that because we called him or they didn't do the inspection but sent an email anyway saying it was done and everything was fine. I like the stores ... I go to a couple of them. Facts are that years ago I could get in for "same day" service (even for new brakes) .. But 2023 is a different story. I can never get my car in when I have a day off.... I know there are staffing issues everywhere, but I just need an oil change, and I use my store card for vehicle maintenance. My schedule is ALWAYS changing and making an appointment 2 weeks out for an oil change doesn't work for me. They did not even offer what day may be available next I'm gonna unfortunately be forced to go elsewhere again. Quick change options should be available. ONE HOUR SERVICE GUARANTEE... Oh, and I have a bridge to sell you... I bought all four of my tires with hazard warranty from Plaza Tire in Arnold. Yesterday, while driving my low pressure alert went off. I pulled into the nearest gas station and used my portable compressor to check my tires and while topping off the culprit, I noticed some road shrapnel in my tire. Once on the road again, I contacted Plaza Tire in Arnold where I purchased my tires. I knew it was too late to get it seen that day as it was already pushing 5pm but I asked if I could leave my car on the lot and drop off my key for the next day. I was due for my free rotation ( part of the package they sold me with my tires) so I asked them to set me up for the next day for the rotation and to fix the flat. I waited until after noon the next day to call and get an ETA. I was told they still were working through yesterday's work (my car was from yesterday) and they would call me when it was ready. When I still hadn't heard anything 2 hours later, I decided to go to the shop and wait the remaining time hoping that my being in the store would prompt faster service. As we pulled in, I saw that my car was STILL sitting in the spot where I had left it now with a Completely flat tire. It is now 3pm (22 hours after I left the car) and it is still not ready. Needless to say, I will be finding a new tire shop when it is time to replace again. The worst is not that they have too much business to fulfill their advertised 1 Hour Service: it is that they refuse to set time expectations when you call or arrive for service. They say that they are first come first serve but if that is true, they should be informing customers at some point in the day that they can't take anymore appointments instead of rolling over all the business from the previous day. I need my car for work and would have paid another shop to get my car back on the road today. Instead, it is 2 hours until they close for the day, my tire is now completely flat and I am STILL waiting. There is plenty on completion for tire work in South County. If Plaza Tire wants to compete, they need to work out a process for setting expectations for service work that is already paid for...or did I get put off because they knew that all of the work they were doing on my car was pre-paid and nothing was going in the till from the work they were obligated to do on my car? read more

He arrived at 525 and was told they wouldn't fix the tire. I paid additional for tire repair when I bought these tires in April. They couldn't stay 15 minutes late to satisfy a customer and repair a tire that was paid for. Now I have to take time off work and get it done tomorrow. My car has nitrogen and I couldn't find any local service and the dealer needed me to make an appt and pay what I thought a was high price. Absolute trash work ethic, terrible communication and just plain dumb. Everyone looks like they hate working there. I live in Festus and the plaza tire shop by me sucks so I tried the plaza tire in Arnold. Big mistake. Just the same. Sucks. I called ahead of time to make sure it wasn't super busy and asked for the estimate time for 4 tires balanced and mounted. Told me over the phone about 1-1.5 hours for the job to be completed. I explained everything very thoroughly to the gentleman getting all my info and told him where it was parked so they didn't forget about me. He knows I was waiting for the job and after 2 hours I politely asked about how much longer for a pretty simple straight forward job to be completed. I look outside and car is sitting in same spot, haven't even touched the car yet. After I asked what's going on, they looked confused as to who I am and why I'm there. One guy even asked me, "you have been waiting here the whole time?" Yes, I have been here since 10am, waiting only because you said it would be close to an hour and a half. Then proceeds to sarcastically say sorry for the wait. I got my keys and said this is ridiculous when you tell a customer the wait time and don't say crap to me until I remind you I have been waiting for over 2 hours and haven't even started on my car. Then the smart guy says it will be done closer to closing time. I said hell no, give me my keys, you just lost a customer. I will never go to another Plaza (trash) tire again. P.S. don't waste your time with Dobbs either, they won't mount any tires that you don't buy from them because "super scary" Covid. What's wrong with America? Place is falling apart. Friendly just incompetent. Wishing this was a good experience review, but unfortunately I couldn't manage to get them to do anything. Made the appointment two days in advance for new set of tires for my truck online from their website. Got a call from them the same day saying they had the tires in stock and would be ready for my appointment 8a.m. Wednesday morning. Dropped truck off at 4p.m. Tuesday night and informed them that the truck would need aligned. No problem they said even offered the lifetime alignment policy. "Great can I pick it up tomorrow about the same time?" (4:00pm) "We'll have it ready" they said. Fast forward 24 hrs, I go in, they seem confused about where my truck is and whether it's ready. After a bit, 5 minutes or so they return to counter. Tires aren't here couldn't do it. "Sorry I should have called and let you know it wouldn't be ready" they said. "No big deal when will you have the tires?" I ask. "They'll be on the truck tomorrow" I'm told. Fast forward 20 hrs. I call them just to make sure it's going to be ready Thursday evening at 4pm. Again they seem unsure about my truck even being there. Finally they find the paperwork. "Yep, your truck is ready to go". " Thanks I'll be there at 4pm". "Ok it's ready when you are" Fast forward 4hrs. Pull in, truck is still sitting where it was, with the same with the same balding tires. I go inside. Same conversation and confusion as the previous day. Except this time when they find my paperwork they tell me it's ready to go. "Really?, because it still has the old tires on it." "Uh, oh. wait. Which truck is it?" I tell them again and explain that it wasn't completed yesterday and they assured me it would be ready today. I even called and you told me it was ready. " We were confused I guess because we don't have those tires" I'm told. "Ok but you did the alignment right?" I ask. "Yes sir...well wait. No it appears we didn't" At this point I'm pretty well done. "So I'm free to leave?" I ask. "Yes sir, but won't you give us another chance?" "Uh no, I'm good." So the quoted conversation may not be verbatim, but it is reasonably accurate. No hysterics, very polite on both parties. I wasted three trips to this place and it's not like it was convenient. Starting mid December 2020, I had low tire pressure issues, they (Plaza Tire) tried to fix the tire for me. A week later the tire gave me issues again, the low tire light came on, the patch didn't stick. Plaza Tire said they would re-patch it, at this point they had 5 stars and were doing what they could (not all patches stick 100%); it was now January of 2021. Plaza Tire say they would get to it tomorrow and will call me when it's done, for a tire patch, whatever I didn't have work the next day. No call the next day, the day after my shift at work ends too late to call them. I get there the 2nd day after; they give me my keys and say it's good to go parked in the street because they are too crowded. I get to my car and I see Black oil stains the size of an apple on my nearly pristine cream-colored fabric upholstery seat. I was so exhausted I almost drove away anyway, looked at my mirrors only to see my driver's side rear view mirror hanging and the shell that holds it had a gaping hole in it like something hit it from the front and pushed the mirror out. With this level of damage, the mirror just needs to be replaced. I went back inside immediately to alert them, the desk worker at the time looked at the damage and went to tell someone who was supposed to be better prepared for the situation. Some man approached my car before talking to me and started poking at it and shoving the mirror in the shell to make it set. He came back in the building and tells me its "fixed and I'm good to go!" I had to point out to him that no, there is a hole in the thing, and it is clearly damaged. At this point my father had arrived as I had called in distress. He decided to call a cop to file an accident report which led nowhere as the cop said that no crime had taken place, which confused me because my property was damaged while under a business's care and at this point absolutely no one had said that they were going to take care of it. The cop continued to say no crime was committed even though I pointed out that property damage the last time I checked was a crime. I was led to believe that this was all on me somehow even though my mirror was perfectly fine when I left the car there at Plaza Tire just two days ago, I just wanted my tire patched! When I protested and my father protested, Plaza Tire offered to get the mirror fixed and try to clean the stain. BUT only AFTER we protested after the cop very irresponsible left after making a joke of a report. I wish it ended here... I pick the car up two days later with the mirror replaced, looks great, and the stain has been scrubbed to be three times the size and a third the intensity. WHO SCRUBS A STAIN LIKE THAT? Scrubbing makes stains bigger, this is basic knowledge for detailing a car. The same man who poked at my car mirror and tried to shoo me away (saying I squeezed your broken mirror into your broken housing, your good to go!) said that the oil stain was just wet and once it dried if the stain still there that they would get it detailed. Of course, it didn't clear up when it dried. I went back and told that same man that I would take that detailing since the stain was still there only for someone else who I had yet to encounter (maybe a manager) say no to the man that he needed to approve that and schedule it, I was once again told they would check this over and call, they never did and they never have, has anyone ever gotten a call back from them??? I have finally completely given up on any once of professionalism by them, and my mother and I spent an hour outside cleaning the seat with some upholstery cleaner and proper technique, it's mostly gone after one treatment and an hour of hard work. Why was Plaza Tire incapable of this? In all of this I had to borrow my parent's car multiple times during one of the long periods they kept my car I could not and had to miss out on work so this cost me a day's pay on top of it all. I won't ever go back and can't understand why I got this completely unacceptable, unprofessional, and ultimately dismissive type of service. I thought I had a great experience until I notice damage on 3 of my wheels. When I went back to discuss the damage with Terry Rowan, the manager, he denied denied denied. "Our machines are touchless" he says. That doesnt prove it wasn't caused by human error. I spent a $1000 on new tires to walk away with damage that was not caused by me. I've gone to the same shop for all my tires for at least 10 years and this is how they treat loyal customers. I will not recommend this shop to anyone any more. They had the new tires put on... all that needed to be done was an alignment. Well folks, no more Plaza Tire for after year of business and many vehicles...As you know, I sold my Charger which was kept in a climate controlled garage since I bought it in 2008...at 36000mile I decided to put some new Yokohama on...at 39, 072, I sell my Charger with only 3,072 mile on 60,000 mi tire...My friend went to Plaza Tire in Arnold, MO...to see my lifetime balance and rotate would transfer...Of course....Terry, also told Ed that he needed to replace the tires because the "DATE CODE" was from 2016 and tires need to be replaced every 5 year no matter the mile or the depth........I'm 70, have had a lot of vehicles, have bought many new tires....this is the first time I've heard of this....Never had a vehicle inspection where they have checked the "DATE CODE" and failed me for expired tires....I call Bull Shit on Terry and Plaza Tire, if this is their policy....They failed to mention that tires can last 10+ if not subjected to excessive wear are extreme conditions.....Rant over and good buy Plaza Tire........Alway remember to check that expiration date on your tires.. read more

I purchased 4 new Michelin tires with road hazard insurance ($40.00) in March 2020. The service was great and the employees were friendly. Yesterday I was driving back from Michigan and had a flat tire. My car was telling me the front left was losing air, but it ended up being the back rear tire. After spending $700 they neglected to reprogram the sensors. Honest mistake, I suppose? It does make me wonder if they do everything they say they do? I went to get it reprogrammed and see if I would be reimbursed for my cost of getting my tire fixed. They reprogrammed the sensors but refused to reimburse me for my repairs. Gary answers the phone here and is generally just an unpleasant human being who goes out of his way to make EVERY person feel as though their phone call, questions, and inquiries are keeping him from something FAR more important. He's unhelpful, purposefully vague in his answers, and acts so aggravated by the simplest questions (like "Can I get my tires rotated this morning?" and "About how long might that take?") that I end up feeling like a bothersome dog. Horrible service ! They broke my car door, said they would fix it, gave me the run around for a year & decided not to fix it.

Now I know why they have a one star rating. Our family has bought 3 sets of tires from this particular store and with that we get free tire rotation. I called to try to get an appointment and was told it was 1st come 1st serve. So we tried one Saturday about 10:30 am. (They open at 7:30 am) We were told it would be all day wait if the could even get to us, we left. This Saturday we showed up at 7:45 and was told it would be a while, why you just opened how could you be booked already and there were only 3 other cars on the parking lot, but whatever. We left our truck and drove by about 1:00 and the truck had not moved. We called them at 3:00, knowing that they close at 4:30 and was told they would get to it by the quitting time. We went ahead and drove up there at 4:15 to get the truck whether it was done or not. I was sitting in the parking lot while my husband went in and they called me at 4:25, I informed them that my husband was already inside. My point being that I felt if I was a "paying customer" it is first come first serve. I think since they were going to do this for us "per purchase agreement" for no charge then would have to sit and wait and all of the "paying" customers are done first. We have already paid for this service and we're willing to wait our turn with everyone else but I am gathereing that's not the way it works. My time is just as valuable as everyone else's.
