Sold me a set of 4 tires that constantly went flat, each at different times and rates. Took it back to Plaza (this time the one by the mall) and they claimed they couldn't find any leaks anywhere. But my tires were still regularly going flat from normal in-town driving. Moved out of state and decided I was sick of the regular trips to the air machine, so I bought new tires. Guess what? The guys at Plaza neglected to put the lug nut key back in my trunk. So now I'm running around trying to correct that problem before I can even get the new tires on. Our car was perfect under former Management until a new Mgr.came on board- Corporate shuffles him around like a deck of cards. He came from Moberly Plaza Tires & we unluckily inherited him - his name is Zach. We had our car towed back to our garage at our house until they decide to buy a new engine for us! They clearly took advantage of us, as we are in our 70's. We hope others don't fall victim to them! I arrived at the store the next day and the man behind the counter told me they would not be able to assist me and did not allow me to explain the situation, I was asked to leave the store because he did not like me asking why he couldn't assist, he said I was a waste of time to at least look at my problem. GIRLS - I was a Mizzou student for 5 years and ONLY went to PTS on Broadway. Ariel (sp?) specifically made me feel extremely comfortable, in the loop, and helped me in any way he could. They did all my oil changes, helped me through a bent axle and alignment issue, 4 new tires, and 2 different vehicles. The pricing was always fair, and even had a complimentary tire repair because it took them an hour (I wasn't even mad about it, they just told me I wouldn't be paying!). Ariel is super personable - would ask me about my cat, school, etc. He genuinely cared about my well being and the quality of the service that PTS provided for me. The importance of finding a mechanic that you TRUST and can come to consistently is absolutely crucial, especially as a woman. It's very common for places like these to take advantage of you, but I genuinely never felt that way. I'm about to receive my very last oil change from these guys before I move back to KC, and I'm honestly super sad about it. PLEASE support this business and be kind to their crew! read more

I took my 95 Silverado, that had been driven into a ditch, in to get aligned because it was tracking very poorly. I requested they put it up on the lift to look at it and align it. I left it with them as I went to class. Their tech walked around my pickup, didn't even look under it or put it on their lift, and refused to put it on their alignment machine because it "was too damaged and needed frame repair." I drove that Silverado to my farm in Marshall MO, and improved the alignment myself, then had it fine tuned at an NTB in Kansas City. It drives and tracks just as good as it ever did, and didn't even need any parts replaced! All I needed was alignment! I feel that they refused me service because I was a student and they didn't think I had the money to pay them. I also don't think they wanted to work on an older vehicle because it might actually take some effort on their part. Seemed very lazy on their part. read more

I've only used the Plaza Tire on Broadway near downtown, so I don't know about the others. But I trust these guys and they have always done a great job on my car. Trust to me is the deciding factor in choosing a mechanic I have never felt like they're doing work that doesn't need to be done. In fact, my wife brought her car in and they recommended she bring it to the Toyota dealer because of how new the car is. I have never had a mechanic give up work because it's the best choice for the customer. They earned my business from now on. read more

When our rental car got a flat tire, we ended up at Plaza Tire Service with a deadline to get the car fixed as soon as possible. Not only did they diagnose the problem as a broken tire pressure sensor, order the parts and replace the tire, they dealt directly with the rental car company. my daughter took her car in for tires and an alignment. she called me and told me that the car needed both outer tie rod ends and a water pump for a price of $600 more. i went in and asked them who told them to replace any parts on the car and the manager said the parts are free. I told him i wanted and parts taken off of the car. he gave me two tie rod ends that had been cut off. I am a mechanic and i have never had to cut off a tie rod end. so i contacted corporate about this problem and told him i watched the guy do the alignment and he didn't do a complete alignment on her car. the corporate guy told me that they don't keep employees that don't do thier job or steal and that goes all the way to the ceo. I told them i didn't get a copy of the alignment off the machine.So the corporate guy and i talked and agreed to take her car to a different shop and check the alignment. come to find out the technician didn't touch the rear 2 tires. The corporate guy says they owe me money, I told him i paid for an alignment and that's what i want. so the other plaza tire did the alignment again and told me it was done. when my daughter got home I ask her to send me a copy of the alignment and guess what it wasn't done they said they needed some shims to complete it. so its still not done correctly. I contacted the corporate guy and asked him what happened to the technician? he told me he had gave him a reprimand that will stay in his file and sent him to st louis for training.
