Car was overheating on the way to NC. Left it at one shop - they couldn't work on it. Had it towed to Plaza Tire Service. When we called on Monday morning they said they would after we told them what it was doing. Received a call telling us that they found nothing wrong with it - all our invoice says is they did a diagnostic test. We asked them to drive it for awhile. Upon picking it up on our way back through - they said again they could find nothing wrong with it and it was fine to get it checked out when we got home. Needless to say it started overheating 20 minutes down the highway and we had to stop all the way home to let it cool down - 97 away from home it completely died and we had to have it towed. Contacted to get my money refunded - been 5 days - still no word. Disappointed. They seemed to be nice - but did nothing for us and just cost us more $$. read more

Paid $50 for a filter to be replaced 6 weeks ago and they are trying to get me to replace it again. The filter they brought out today looks worse than what they showed me 6 weeks ago. They either brought me an old filter to look at today or they Never replaced mine last visit 6 weeks ago even though I was charged for it and have to e receipt proof. Funny the filter needs to be replaced every 20-30k miles but this one looked worse at 6000 miles. Also the person checking me out named Josh was totally sarcastic and rude. I will never deal with that person again. He does not need to be in customer service. Plaza Tire please do better!!! Even the manager set back and never intervened, if he would have stood up and taken over and said you're right something is clearly not right here as this is dirtier than the one I showed you 6 weeks ago, he could have seen something wasn't right. I recommend all my family and friends here but not after today. Please do better! read more

Never use this option in Paducah! Manger was rude and told me "Simple Tire is NOT a priority!". Had to leave my truck there for the day in spite of the fact that I had called the day before and been told installation would take about ab hour. "Well you didn't talk to me" the manager said, as if as a customer calling his shop I have any control over who I talk to. I'd give zero stars if it were an option. read more

I called this Plaza Tire on Tuesday to schedule an oil change for Thursday, Oct. 5th at 1:00. We have been going here since they opened, purchased 2 sets of tires there, have had multiple oil changes, new brakes, etc. When I went in today for my oil change the man who waited on me told me there were no oil changes scheduled for today. He told me that I must have called Purcell Tire next door. I told him no. Then he told me that I must have called a different Plaza Tire. I told him no. The number to that specific Plaza Tire is saved in my phone and we have always gone there. He told me I was mistaken and they could get me in but I would have to wait at least an hour and a half. I told him no and left. No apology. I understand mistakes. What I don't understand is being told it was my fault and all the things that He thought I had obviously done wrong. I have never been treated like that prior to this incident. I don't know what has happened but something has changed drastically and not for the better! read more

Just had them change oil, and rotate tires when they called saying I needed a cabin air filter change and brake flush. Told them to go ahead with the cabin filter just so I didnt have to mess with it. Get into my car and the air is making a squeeling sound.... took everything off to get to the air filter just to see they put it in upside down.... so I still had to mess with it. Should have just bought and installed it myself anyways and saved the extra $20. Wont go here again. read more

I've used Plaza Tire for lots of Auto Service. They've always been honest and done great work for me. I trust them and they treat me right!

I had a radiator flush and fill but when I got home and tested the anti-freeze level of protection with THREE different testers I own, none showed adequate protection levels as I was assured by the staff prior to servicing (-34 F). So I called and they told me to drop by and they would test it. This is a 60 second test at most and they already had my payment. When I dropped by I was told I would have to leave my vehicle for this verification, which was NOT what I was told on phone. Mind you, I was parked right outside the front door with the radiator reservoir opened already....stick in the tester and show me the reading. Plaza would not do this in my presence to show me they stand behind their work. How can I recommend a business who treats me like my (repeat) business matters not to them. They wouldn't even conclude to my satisfaction my very first transaction with them. The manager I spoke with even said as much when I told him this is not how you build a business, stating to me basically "take it or leave it, we don't care." I will not ever do business with Plaza Tire again. read more

I have been goin here for about a year getting tires oil changes balances alignment and rotations. This last visit i went in for a simple rotation balance and alignment but they tried to convince me i needed$1500+ in xxtra work because my truck was 'undriveable' lol i declined the xx work and noticed when i got home they had broken off 2 lugs on the same tire and did not tell me ? Who does that ? That lets me know they are not honest and coukd care less about my safety :( Update the $1500 fix that was 'needed' for me to drive my vehicle safely according to plaza tire technician.......... $35 bushing kit for my steering..... $100 labor..... $135 to fix ......... PLAZA tried to Rip me off for $1500 DONT TRUST THEM and ive been a good customer to them. Update . Just got my truck back from my local mechanic. $159.00 replace some bushings in my steering. Plaza told me my "Rack and pinion was leaking and my truck was very dangerous to drive but they could replace it all for $1700.00" Turns out all i needed was a $50 bushing kit. My local mechanic said nothing was leaking. So now i know 100% that the guys at Plaza are liars and con artisits. BEWARE ! In Response to the district managers reply . What did plaza do to make me mad ? lmao seriously? Tried to convince me i needed $1500 of work when it was $150 parts/ labor. Does it take more to make one mad ? Im not an idiot . If they broke off my studs and tried to rip me off for $1500+ I DONT TRUST THEM or YOU. I'm not dumb enough to leave painfully honest reviews ( good and bad ) and put my contact info with them. West KY is a small place and i dont want any reviews coming back on my friends or family . Now that being said . I don't care if plaza sent me a $1000 gift card. I'm not goin there. I seriously doubt im the only one that had been ripped off or attempted to be . Not everyone has access to a good honest mechanic like i do . So thanks to the mngr for following up, but no thanks to any 'remedy'. The automotive service biz is notoriously known for ripping off women, older people, and uneducated consumers. Got a tire quote online and it said the tires were available at a certain location so I made the appointment there. I get there and the tires aren't in stock so they talked me into different ones that were more expensive. In the process of all this they came out and told me that I had one tire pressure sensor hanging and one that would even read. Then another guy comes out and says that one of my tires didn't even have a sensor in it but my low tire light was never on. They broke them and wouldn't admit to it then tried to get me to buy new ones. So long story short l, they lied to me about the sensors and had two different stories on it. They could have at least collaborated and had one story to tell. They did call me d tell me they would replace the two for free but warned me the other two might go bad when the new ones were installed. I have zero trust in these people and do not appreciate being lied to and treated like I'm an idiot. I will advise people to not go there. Truly an awful experience. I want my sensors replaced but honestly don't trust they will actually do it. I will be contacting the headquarters. read more

Recently purchased a car w/ nitrogen filled tires. Tire light came on while in the area. popped in Goodyear, gentleman said they were not equipped to help me, but the Plaza Tire next door would be able to assist me with my specific need. I did not go into the store, I popped into the side door and into the shop to inquire about the process and if the process would be a complicated one. The young man sitting at the desk was on the phone and never acknowledge my presence. within a couple of minutes a sandy hair "guy" (I refuse to call him a gentleman) bolted out the door and in an obvious intimidating tone, loudly asked if he could help me!!! What I wanted to say was NO !!!! , based on your attitude NO YOU CAN NOT HELP ME! BUT.............. I chose to graciously stand there and quickly inquire as to how much it would cost to get a little nitrogen in the tire that was the culprit. All 4 tires looked fine, and I could not distinguish which one set off the indicator. I was basically at their mercy. The guy intimidatingly, and loudly blurted out without hesitation, and before I could even finish the sentence... $20. We stared at each other for a second because I could not believe that a little nitrogen would cost that much, but more importantly, I could not believe the behavior of this "guy". I told him that I would be back, and left. Ended up at the Plaza Tire in Mayfield Ky, the gentleman accommodated my need at NO CHARGE! I gave him $10 because I really appreciated their kindness. Tire light came on again within the next day or so. I popped into the Loneoak Store, they were extremely nice. Got me right in. The whole process took about 20 minutes. Turns out I had a screw in the tire. Total cost $27.53. I was happy to pay them!!! I have since called the Corporate office to voice my complaint about the Hinkleville Rd Store. They immediately had Dewayne to call and talk with me regarding this incident. I trust that he will speak with this person and hopefully no one else will be put in the position to have to submit a bad review. This employee's behavior reflected badly on the entire business! Something he needs to take into serious consideration. read more
