This is a former real golf spot that then became a disc golf location. The course is pretty well maintained and is a great price for 6 bucks. The play is fairly wide open with few tree hazards or obstacles to play around. The largest imposing issue is the rather large pond that can "swallow" your disc. The owners hire a scuba guy to come drag the discs out so write your name on the disc if you own it. You can rent here as well. Worse thing about this location is that it is the closest to Portland so it can get super crowded. Best to go early morning before the swarm. "Now huck it deep, bub! I really wish I could review this place better. I travel about 6 hours to come to Maine once a year, and love to disc golf. That being said, when my family and I arrived with a party of 7, we were told that we had to split into 2 groups. Only 3 of us were playing, the rest were looking forward to walking the course, but were not allowed to by the owner. Then, while trying to decide how to split our group, the woman was very hostile and confrontation, stating that we needed to get going because there are other tee times. She sort of shooed us along, and was rather cold and rude. We were going to spend at least 100$ in the shop here, and walked out with nothing. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back here, and I don't recommend you stop here either. There's other, better, disc golf places in this area. read more

My family & I had a wonderful time playing disc golf here while vacationing in Maine! We had 8 players, split into 2 teams. It's $6 per person to play the course. We brought our own discs but they also will rent you a disc for $1 (with a $5 deposit that's returned when you bring the disc back). The staff provides you with a scorecard and map of the course. We were impressed by the beauty of the course, and had a great day playing. The 18 hole course is a former traditional ball golf course, but it's converted to disc golf well. The staff warned us about the water hazard on hole 3 and only one person in our group lost a disc to the water. Disc golf players seem to be a fun bunch, and other teams were helpful and chatty. (We weren't fast players by any means, so we let other smaller groups with professional players play through rather than holding them up.) I'd definitely recommend Pleasant Hill Disc Golf to anyone looking for a fun activity in the Scarborough, ME area. read more

Wow. I have never been so close to spending money at an establishment and instead turning around and walking directly out. I am new to the sport and had a couple discs in mind and thought I would stop in and check the place out. I spoke with a woman behind the counter who was the most abrasive individual I've ever met. We exchanged maybe 20 words while she 'assisted me'. I asked to look at a different type of driver and got nothing but attitude and aggression from her and I was not the only customer that noticed this interaction. You may be busy and you may just be a cold person, but just know you're losing business as a company by treating potential new customers like that. That was the worst and only negative experience I've ever had in trying to purchase anything at a pro shop. Me nor any of the people I play with will ever be back. Save your money for a shop with some selection and common courtesy. read more

Went here randomly with a friend and found that it was pretty darn fun! Rental disks available, can last you hours.... no its not easy either! Highly suggest bringing a few drinks with you for the course. To rate the course alone --- not great -- mostly flat, not very scenic. There's some spots with wet/mud if it's rained, so don't bring good shoes. Fun designs of the courses to give you a challenge. Location is kinda random but it works and isn't too far away. Someone could open up a nice one and blow this place out of the water probably. That being said, this is a fun place to go! read more

Expect wet ground after a rainy day or all through the early spring. this place is well maintained, mowed, landscaped. put your name and phone number on your disc; if you lose it, they dredge the ponds every once in a while and call found disc owners. i saw they had some bucked up log rounds here and there on the property, so i asked it i could take one (as a chopping block for my parents and their new wood stove) they said yes and even helped me get it into my car. i've spent too many sunny afternoons here walking 1.5 miles in 2 hours not to give it 5 stars. read more

Family friendly fun, very cheap - $6 per person to play all day. Not an immensely challenging course, but good for beginners.

After going a few more times and being helped by the same lady, I have to say that she has been over the top nice and helpful. Seemed like a totally different person. I feel like it is only right to update my review, as everyone has bad days. read more
