I didn't really notice less range with the floater balls (but I'm newish at this), and when we finished, we watched a guy hitting 300 yards +. The $5 bucket of balls is generous, they provide plenty of T heights, and crew were friendly and appreciative of bringing back the buckets. Only a couple of boats have yardage signs, so I asked staff about ranges for boats, and they gave me the rundown, adding that the boats can drift, and they do have to reset them, so that 150 yard boat might be 160... that type of thing. Next time will probably visit the restaurant just up the hill to eat and sit outside watching other folks swings/stances.

The owner wasn't there but an older man who lives in a house on the property let us know where to leave our green fee ($5, we left $10 for both of us) and get a scorecard. He even walked us to the first tee. The course itself is nice, very green, well maintained. The baskets could be better marked though, some were hard to find. The longest hole is 750 feet and let me tell you, it was epic. There was no one there when we went so we had the course to ourselves, which was nice. I could see it getting very cramped if there were more than 2 or 3 games going on at once. Finally there were scary hawk birds (picture!) and death mosquitoes that became imposing by hole 12, which became a deciding factor in our decision to call it quits after about 2 hours of playing.

We showed up and no one was at the booth, but we heard voices on the course and figured they could tell us how this worked. We were directed to were we could borrow discs from and off we went. Took us a little bit to figure out how to throw the disc, but we soon caught on. My son (9yrs old) and I had such a fun time that after we played 18 holes we grabbed something for dinner and returned with friends for yet another 18 holes. I should mention that when we finished the first 18 holes the owners were at the booth with an assortment of discs both new and used. My son and I both got a set of discs. We figured we'd both start off with a Driver and Putter. My son and I plan on becoming regulars at this course and we plan on introducing many of our friends to this sport. Fantastic activity and everyone we met on the course were so friendly and helpful to us. I certainly hope that all Disc Courses are like this. If not, we certainly found a gem at Boom Field. For serious golfers: I DO NOT RECOMMEND Sim-City Indoor Golf. First impression going in, we did not…read moreget any kind of tutorial or introduction to the simulator/user interface. The facilities also appeared to be under construction and the customer service wasn't great. More importantly, the ceilings in some sections are low enough to damage personal equipment. My friend hit an unprotected metal bar along the ceiling during his follow through and damaged his driver. He is an experienced golfer who has been playing for over 17 years and has never encountered a problem with unsafe facilities until now. I did not expect the facilities to not be safe enough for its intended purpose - Golfing. If we had known this going in, we never would have wasted our time and money. In addition to losing the driver, management not only refused to comp the game, but will not compensate us for the damaged driver or take any responsibility for what had occurred. In fact, they did not even contact us following the incident, we had to reach out after several days. This incident happened as a direct result of their inability to consider a person's golf swing within their facility. For any serious golfers: I DO NOT recommend this place. DO NOT risk damaging your personal equipment. It's worth the drive to support better management and safer facilities.
