Horrible with communication. For one I thought i spoke to them each time with patience and in a polite manner.. the receptionist especially made me feel like I was a burden and kept giving me a run around answer to my concerns. I was constantly told I needed to wait longer for news on a hurt bird I found and brought in. I called 4 times , they never called me , and they apparently did surgery & who knows what else that I gave to soon pay for and I was never told anything. 4 days has past so far and I still no nothing. I wanted to take bird home to take care of , it's bothering me so much that I don't know if it is still alive or that I gave no clue what kind of bill I'm in for. read more

I took my pregnant standard poodle on her pregnancy due date after seeing a green discharge. once arrived she was looked over weighed,listened too and temperature taken. she was also given an xray. I was told at that time there was five puppies and everything was fine despite my worry of green discharge. i was told not to worry and green discharge is normal and that she would go over the weekend. If she was to have any puppies get stuck then i would need to call an on call if after hours to have a c-section done. she did not deliver over the weekend and temp stayed the same. on monday morning i seen more discharge and called another veterinarian and they had me bring her in immediately. next thing i know they have her back for an emergency c-section and a full hysterectomy. all puppies were dead and my dog was becoming septic. nothing but black/green poison was inside of her and covered all of the non living puppies. there was 6 puppies not 5 like i was told by clermont. another veterinarian said this whole situation could have been avoided if she would have had proper care to start with. I did what i was supposed to do and took her at the first sign only for them to drop the ball and not do their job. I contacted them today and didn't get anywhere. basically a sorry and see you later. i could have lost a family member had i not gotten a second opinion. they didn't try to make amends or to even compensate any of the $1200 I'm out of due to their lack of care. please do not take your loved ones here. read more

Took my dog in for a very routine spay at the Clermont County Veterinary Hospital. My dog almost bleed out because they nicked a blood vessel that according to the Vet was "not supposed to be there". After the Vet told me the story of all that transpired she had the nerve to inform me that we were lucky she was a seasoned Veterinarian and saved my dogs life! As if this experience wasn't bad enough, they charged me an additional $300 for the added time in the ER. I pray my dog fully recovers and I would never recommend this place even if my dog needed to be put down... take my word for it stay away for this place!!!! read more

I lost my fur baby on 2-24-21 due to Kidney disease. I'm very confused why the vet did not know he had kidney disease long before this. He always had all his check ups on time. He was also diagnosed with ACL tear a year before but couldn't have surgery due to heart issues, again didn't know this until day of surgery. But his leg got better on its own without surgery. I'm so concerned that both issues were miss diagnosed. I notified the vets office that I had to have him put to sleep, here in my home. They couldn't even say I'm so sorry or send a card or anything. This broke my heart. I actually thought this vet cared about him but now I think it was all about the thousands of dollars I paid them. I decided if & when I get another dog I will go to the vet that came to my home to put him to sleep. They went far beyond helping & actually caring about me & my dog. And for everything they did for us they only charged $130.00 for the home visit & the single cremation & returning his ashes in a beautiful box & A paw print in clay & A beautiful card with both his paw prints in ink in it. This vet Dr. James is wonderful & really cared about me & him. Not just the money. My heart is broken that this vet was so cold after using them for years. read more

My daughters puppy past away this weekend due to surgery he had. I really don't want to blame the vet for him passing. Because they was always good to my animals. But at that time it was the father running things. But for one I think they waited to long to do the surgery. They took a X-ray and seen that he did have something in his stomach and intestines. They said they wanted to wait and see if he would pass it. I thought that was kind of odd. But what do I know I am not a vet. Then he was getting worst. So then they did the surgery he had a sock and some of his blanket and they had to remove some of his intestine as well. Ok then he stayed for about 3 days and came home. Then on Friday he was not acting right. So my daughters husband took him in. And they said everything looked good. I think they should have done a X-ray but they did not. So Sunday morning they got up to take him out for his walk and he was gone. My daughter and son-in-law and grandson is so heart broken. On top of that they took him to the vet. And they want to change her 300 dollars to have him cremated. I don't think they should have to pay for that. but not only I think they should waive the fee I also feel that they should take off from the bill as well. Because I think they messed up by not doing surgery sooner and by not doing X-ray Friday because they have done so he could still be here with us still. He was a puppy. His name is Karl Powers. It is the Powers family. at lease do the right thing and take some money off the bill. read more

I have also seen Dr. Esposito and she is full of information, so helpful. All my animals feel very comfortable when being seen. And the nurses are great as well. At first we choose this clinic because of its closeness to home and its affordability, but now because of the care I don't think I would ever choose anywhere else. I found an orphaned raccoon. When I looked for help online, I was greeted with large font red letters saying: "IT IS ILLEGAL TO AID OR ASSIST RACCOONS IN ANY WAY WITHOUT A WILDLIFE REHABILITATION LICENSE". All of the people I contacted who were licensed had no room for a baby raccoon. Well... the law be damned... I am NOT going to let this sweet, docile FASCINATING creature die because of a law. I took him to Dr. Stricker for vaccines and a check-up. ( If I have to do this, I'll do it right.) While Doctor Stricker checked and vaccinated "Rocket", the staff went to work and found a re-habber who could take him that very day. It was the happiest and saddest news I've ever heard. I knew that the only way I could let my darling go, would be to do it before giving myself a reason to keep him with me. I believe I've done what's best for "Rocket", but I miss that little guy every day of my life. The only thing that makes it tolerable is that there are people like the staff at Clermont Animal Hospital who care as much about "Rocket" as I do. This place is not worth your money. I had a dog who caught parvo. Not only was the staff not up to par, but when I had to call in an emergency 3am call, Julia's first question was asking if I had the money to pay for the emergency visit. Very unprofessional. If you do not want to receive calls in the middle of the night, remove your emergency number. I would recommend Clough Pike Veterinary Clinic, they are amazing! read more

I drove almost 30 miles to take my very ill bearded dragon here. What a wonderful place! I am so glad I did. I took my 15 year old dog to be euthanized to Clermont Animal Hospital. At the time, the staff was nice but they didn't tell me that it would take two weeks to get her remains back. She was put down on a Friday and when I called Tuesday they told me it would take two weeks. They only pick dogs up and return them on Thursday's. So my poor dog, who was the best dog ever laid at that hospital for a week before they even took her little body. Then I had to wait another week before I could go pick her up. When I picked her up, I told them that they should let pet owners know before hand that it will be two weeks before they will get the remains back. All they said was that "it was the policy of the company they use". They showed no sympathy at all, just blamed the company the use. The company they use is DogWood Crematory and I will write a review about them too. I was extremely upset by their answer and the whole process. I will never recommend Clermont Animal Hospital to anyone. read more

These veterinarians are extremely knowledgeable in every area of Veterinary care. They treat, not only Dogs & Cats, but small animals, & exotics also. They treat animals such as Ferrets, Monkeys, Rabbits, Hamsters, Mice, Reptiles, Bob Cats, Skunks, Raccoons, Opossums, Goats, Birds, etc.. I believe if you can get it there, they will treat it. I once saw an Alpaca & a Kangaroo in there. I have been doing animal rescue for over 35 years. I have never seen a better Veterinary service. They will meet you after hours if you have an emergency; saving you time and Money of having to drive to an Emergency Clinic. Both Doctors attend annual veterinary seminars to keep up with all the new technology. Also they have plenty of High tech equipment, enabling quick diagnosis'. They are often able to do a biopsy and read the results immediately, rather than having to wait while it is sent out to a lab for reading. There X Ray machine is also Top of the line, in quality X rays. Leaving no guess work. These Doctors both give back, by teaching what they have learned to other Vets and Students. This Hospital will take in injured wild life and treat it at their expense, then placing the animals with a rehab person to later be released back into the wild. I vote them Best Veterinary Hospital in this area. I have been to many different vets over the years, none can compare to Clermont Animal Hospital If your pet needs to stay in the Hospital, you are always welcome to visit while it is recovering, as often as you like. This helps speed the healing process because your pet is less stressed with the owners visiting. read more
