ATTENTION!!ATTENTION!!ATTENTION!!!! I found my new favorite spot for seafood in Philly! I came across Pleasure Platters on Instagram and I been following PP for a while. After getting my weekly crab pan from Saud's, I decided to stop by Pleasure Platters since she is not too far away. Upon entering, I was greeted by Kendall( hope I spell her name correctly). She gives a very friendly vibe. She was so patient with me and my hubby since this is our first time. Very pleasant to talk with, customer service is definitely top notch. We end up ordering the 12 Colossal Fried Shrimp platter with the fries and seaslaw, Lobster Bisque, #2A steamed seafood combo, and Paradise Punch. Fresh seafood takes a minute to cook, do arrive with time on your hands. We had time today, we didn't mind the wait. When I got my Paradise Punch, that drink is so god darn pretty. I took a sip and I order another one along with Pecan cake and strawberry cake lol. The Paradise Punch was that good! The moment we got home, we immediately dig in lol. Hubby enjoys his Lobster bisque and Colossal Shrimp Platter. He says she got one of the best tasting Lobster Bisque in Philly area. The shrimp platter were tasty as well. Usually steam seafood platters are quite salty, not this one! Pleasure Platters seafood platters are seasoned very well and buttery. I ask for extra butter, but Kendall says to trust her, my platter gonna have too much butter lol. Actually her platter has the right amount of butter for me bc I'm a butter lover lol. Normally I have leftovers such as broccoli and potatoes, FIRST time in my life that everything is GONE!! I ate everything in my steam combo. Told my hubby, we must go back next week!! After seeing a TicToc about Pleasure Platters shrimp, I decided to stop by while in Philly. I called to check what time they close. Lady on the phone was very nice. I drove to Pleasure Platters to place my order. When I walked in I had to wait until the phone order was complete. I was asked for my order and paid. There was 1 other person waiting for an order. As I waited for my order to be done, DoorDash and people came in to pick up orders & place orders. The wait was kinda long and the guy was a bit overwhelmed. I finally got my order after about a 20-30 minute. When I got in the car I ate a shrimp which was hot and a nice size. The seafood slaw was ok. It has a lot of mayo which I'm not a fan of. The price was $28 which is ok for all the food in the platter & seafood slaw. The food was fried to perfection. Experience was ok. Next time I will try the boiled seafood trays when I'm back in Philly read more

A friend recommended Pleasures Platters to me. I stopped in this weekend and ordered a Large Seaslaw and Chicken and Shrimp Alfredo. The Seaslaw was incredible. I ate the entire container on the ride home. The Chicken and Shrimp Alfredo was delicious as well. It was packed with well seasoned Colossal shrimp and grilled chicken breast. Pleasure Platters was recommended by a friend. I should have went to my usual spot. The shrimps while large didn't have much flavor at all and were soft no crunch at all. The fries full of grease I ate one maybe two shrimp. The customer service wasn't that great either. The gentleman that took my order stated I would have to pay Cash-app or Apple-pay if I ordered over the phone so I went in and ordered in person since I had cash. He never greeted me just asked if I was picking up. I should have known when the energy was off to leave but I ordered anyway. They are not lying when they advertise "colossal shrimp". Very good. Seasoned well, not too much breading. Fries could have been fried a little longer. Call ahead so you do not have to wait. Hey, saw Pleasure Platters on Social Media yesterday, and decided to give them a try. Well folks, I stopped in there today for lunch, and ordered the Lobster Bisque. When I tell you that the Bisque was all I needed for lunch, I mean it yall! The container came with toasted pita bread, and when I took my first dip in, I came up with chunks of lobster meat, nice size shrimp and scallops on my spoon. I had really high hopes because all of the reviews were so great but since I'm rarely on this side of the city, it took a while for me to check them out. Is it worth the hype or not? The fact that they've upgraded from someone's kitchen to an actual building is a solid flex though, gotta give 'em props for that. Mother in the front was nice. She did her best to take care of everyone. The staff was also nice. They get a plus for that. Especially since, some brown family businesses get bad rep for bad customer service. This place is a treasure in North Philly. The aroma of lovingly, expertly prepared seafood greets you as you enter, as well as friendly, helpful staff. We were blown away by the incredibly flavorful fare, and by the extremely generous portions. We ordered fried colossal shrimp, corn, broccoli and fries, and had more food than three of us could eat for just over $40. We can't wait to go back and try more delicious options off the menu. 2nd time patronizing this store for some reason it did not taste the same , I bought the clam chowder this time , kind of disappointed , it didn't really taste that great , too thick and not seasoned good , but I always enjoy the pita bread that comes with it . The colossal shrimp are so good and the veggies are done right , not soggy but the sauce tasted , like tomatoes to me , was not a old bay seafood type of buttery goodness this time . They messed my order up this time and forgot items I had paid for , didn't realize till I received it at home , they did give me a refund , store is small only at the window with stools type seating . .
