So let me start with the highlight: the fried fish with macaroni and cheese and yams was *delicious.* Like, seriously flavorful, well-seasoned, and made with love. The mac was creamy and cheesy, the yams were sweet and tender, and that fried fish? Perfectly crispy on the outside, flaky on the inside--exactly what I was craving. That said, the overall experience had some bumps. The wait time was pretty long, even though it wasn't super packed, and the staff didn't feel very friendly or welcoming. Not rude, just kind of... there. Service was okay, but definitely could've been warmer or more attentive. The location is pick up only, it's a nice space outside to wait but just prepare to wait and for the weather. Still, the food was strong enough to make me want to come back. Yesterday was my first time trying Keboom's at Roots Picnic. Besides the performances, visiting her food truck was the highlight of the festival. Food was really flavorful. We tried the buffalo chicken eggrolls and the burger sliders. The food is fire and the service was super quick. Only complaint was the food was barely room temperature and got cold before we could finish. Berry lemonade reminded me Kool aid but it was good and wasn't too sweet. I was feeling like some good fried fish for this Friday & decided Keeboom's kitchen would be the best choice. It was a great decision. I was hungry so I ate a piece of the perfectly seasoned fried fish& some of the creamiest, most flavorful Mac & cheese that you have ever sunk your teeth into before I remembered to take a photo of the serving I received. I wanted to show you what you would be in for if you tried this establishment as it was the Bomb! The serving is plentiful as I will eat off this plate for at least 3 - 4 meals in total. The service was awesome I called in & was told they would text me when the order was ready in approximately 15 minutes. It was within that 15 minute timeframe that I received a call from a very nice man telling me my order was ready to be picked up. The window is outside as there is no indoor service but it is well worth it to get the best dinner plates in the area. I mean you can feed at least 3 other people from this heavy soul food offering. I'm very disappointed in the size of the salmon. It seems like it's getting smaller by the week. The sides are cool but the protein is supposed to be the star of the meal. I purchased the same platter last week and the salmon portion was doubled in size. I won't be going back. It's a waste of $$$. read more

My first time trying this spot, I placed an order thru DoorDash and the pics did not disappoint. The food arrived hot, plated neatly. I ordered 2 fried fish platters with Mac and cheese and fresh sautéed spinach. The amount of food was perfect. I'm sure I had about 4-5 pieces of fish. The Mac was creamy and cheesy, and the spinach was fresh! I enjoyed the entire meal and also had enough for lunch the next day. The only con is you will have to wait awhile. I'm so happy I was too lazy to cook after a busy work day and let my fellow yelpers guide me to Keeboom's!! I ordered the the Beef Boom Combo. Delivery guy couldn't locate my address so I got it a bit cold. No worries I cranked up the oven and let the goods get warm. What a huge plate of goodness! The shrimp were perfectly fried. Could've used some seasoning but the sauces made up for that. The chicken cheese roll was So good! The little sliders were packed with flavor. Can I order them. Ext time with some veggies? This is the second time we ordered from Keeboom but the first time I was able to write a review. We ordered the meal on Uber Eats because the menu was different on GrubHub (there were greens on Uber Eats and not on GrubHub). I'd encourage looking at both when ordering delivery. It seems as though they have specials on their platters on Sunday. My husband ordered the whole fried wing platter with mac and cheese and greens as his sides and a side of seasoned rice. I ordered a fried whiting platter with greens and mac with a side of yams. The wings and fish were fried nicely. They were pretty good. The mac and cheese was very cheesy but actually lacked flavor. The greens were salty but pretty good. The rice was okay. But lissssten, the yams were the best thing we ordered. Not too sugary or syrup. I would certain order those again. The platter comes with 2 small boom burgers, 4 pieces of shrimp, 4 honey garlic wing dings, buffalo chicken roll, and fries. The Burgers were decent, though I expected better. I did have some Sweet Chili sauce & Boom sauce which tasted good on the Fries, buffalo chicken Roll, and fried shrimp. However the honey garlic wings were awful. The wings were fried too hard & no flavor, no season, just coated in Honey Garlic sauce. 25.00 is a bit pricey for this platter, and I didn't get my money worth.. After a long trip to Philly I didn't feel like cooking, found this little gem on Uber Eats and decided to give them a try. The portions were ample; the stuffed Salmon was amazing, and so was the broccoli. The Mac and Cheese was pretty good, a little different than I am used to but not in a bad way, I still enjoyed it. Me and my bf order from here for the first time and here is our honest review Me: I order the lamb platter with Mac and mashed potatoes. Came with a bed of rice. The Mac and cheese tasted great, just like any other Mac and cheese. The mashed potatoes was good but started become overwhelming. It was extremely too much garlic. Due to it being strong I didn't finish it. The lamb was okay, soft to chew but wished it was more juicer or had more sauce on it. The rice was good but plain. I thought it was a burger not sliders, that's my fault for misreading the order but would prefer a burger than sliders. The sliders it self was flavorful but not good. The meat was really soft, you could just pretty much swallow the whole thing or eat it in one chew. The Mac was good. Same with the fries, they gave a very small portion of fries compared to the other sides which I didn't like. As for the cornbread, never again. It tasted like I was eating a cupcake. I couldn't tell if I ordered a cake or cornbread. Very very sugary. Overall, this restaurant is over hyped and semi-expensive. I have a love-hate relationship with keebooms. The pickup process & delivery times are often outta pocket but the food is so good. I order the whiting platter with yams and mac everytime. The mrs. always gets the fish platter with spinach and rice. Everyone I've put on loves it. It's that Sunday dinner you crave and don't have the energy to make yourself.
