So today, I followed her instructions , drove back with the Husqvarna pressure washer and a group of employees hovered around, discussing time off and when they would be leaving and told me that their computers cannot hold data/purchase information more than a few months and that Ollie's does not carry this brand. In other words, they do not have a protocol that they teach their representatives, their computers can only spit out advertisements and they consider customers liars. I hope not to go back to the Roanoke Ollie's. Lynchburg's associates are able to interact professionally and know their own policies.

We planned to arrive early on Sunday afternoon after confirming their hours. The parking lot was large enough to accommodate the number of visitors and we found a spot and began walking around the exterior to check things out. There was a food truck in parking lot which we did not check out because we just had breakfast at Scratch Biscuit Company up the road. They also have a small amphitheater out side where it appears they do events. The entry to the amphitheater has some of their salvage from the Capital Center in Landover, MD. Michael, one of the employees saw us walking toward the back yard and we began to chat. He was friendly and accommodating and told us a few things about some ironwork recently salvaged from the Piedmont Triad which is our home. He also gave us a few tips on navigating the interior. We made our way inside and were blown away by the sheer number of items. The store appears to be very well organized and arranged with designated areas for items such as doors, windows , plumbing, electrical and hardware. Mixed amongst each space are salvaged items from all over the world. We thought the majority of the prices were reasonable considering the amount of time, effort, and money that is required to secure the items. We also learned that a good portion of the building is designated for various people to setup consignment spaces showcasing their treasures for sale. We once again ran into Michael and he asked us if we had a few minutes. We were happy to tag along side him while he pointed out some very cool hand carved pieces from India and Egypt. We really enjoyed our conversation and appreciated Michael's love and enthusiasm for vintage pieces. It was fun to talk with someone who appreciates the craftsmanship and history of pieces. Black Dog also features a good amount of swag items which will be fun to look back and remember our time in Roanoke. Awesome experience!

I even, paid extra to have coil springs put in the cushions for extra support. I made it clear which cushions felt good to me & what I wanted them to feel like. When the couch came they were not comfortable. I explained these cushions did mot feel like the ones I said I wanted. I was then told the cushions that I wanted were made by another company. I will not recommend to anyone. I got cheated out of $2600.00. Horrible couch. Go somewhere else.

I found some CUTE fall pumpkin and halloween items to die for inside as well as a honey well and a cute small stoneware jewelry dish. The Manager was knowledgeable and kind enough to let me know that the memory foam mattress they sold, was specifically designed to cool people down another 8 degrees lower than if they were sleeping on a normal bed. They refuse to send a service represntative until I take pictures and submit them. I spoke to the BBB and AARP and they said they need to make a reasonable accomodation to meet our needs. While the furniture looks enticing, they are made cheaply, We will not even discuss the sofa I'm sitting on. But I should be able to have a reasonable expectaion when I go to bed, I do not have to twist body in and between the divots in the bed.
