I would give this place a 0 if I could . This place tried to charge me $22.00 for a money order when it supposed to be free because I wanted to use a debit card. I asked the lady what was the fee for and she told me to get the money from my debit card that is issued by my bank. I told her that is illegal and walked out. read more

I went to this location back on February 5, 2026 to cash a check from my boss and I fealt like these 2 Mexican chics was being races towards me to waist 20mins of my time just to get my money. Also, I had specifically tried to give my bosses cell phone number for 1 of the chics to call because I knew if she had called the office she wouldn't get a hold of him due to all calls being transferred to his cell. So, I decided to do the smartest idea, which was to call my boss cellphone directly from my phone & then put him on speaker to do a verification with one of the chics for him to verify that the check was legit and that it was given to me directly from him. After, waisting so much of my time, the chic finally had cash my check. After my first encounter, I don't think I ever want to go back here. Worst Customer Service Ever. If I was Donald Trump coming in there with a check, it would've been no questions asked, they would've quick as possible. read more

I went in to cash a check and the lady behind the counter shorted me 80$. When I brought it to her attention she acted as if she was offended. it seemed to be an inconvenience because now she had to have her entire draw counted. I don't think it was accidental. On August 29, 2024, just before 11:00 a.m., I stopped into the PLS location at 4701 W. 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN. This location I used in the past about 5-7 years ago on occasions. Well, today when I entered the building, the place was completely empty other than myself as a customer. Every banker/bank teller window was full of workers. As I began to approach window #1, the lady behind the window gave me an aggressive point to go to the right and not her window. "Who knows, she may have been busy with other things; no big deal, I get it." So, I proceeded to the right as I was instructed, and as I went down the line, every teller just stood there and looked. I make it down to the last window, and the lady on that end points me back in the opposite direction. At this point, I'm becoming aggravated because you have 10 people all sitting on their phones, having social hours among themselves, or just, of course, staring out into Wonderland. Finally, the lady on the end who told me to go the other way said the next window will help you. So, I stepped up to the window, and the lady said something in Spanish that I couldn't understand before all of the workers around her started laughing. I know how the process works, so I had all of my documents out and ready to hand her, including the check and my state ID card. Not even two seconds "literally," a young male walked over to the window and said, "Sorry, we can't cash your check. I said, Excuse me, why not? He said, when did you sign the back of your check? I responded that I signed it at home, as I do all of my checks. Isn't that what you're supposed to do? At this time the male begins looking at the check and says, "Do you have a bank? You can cash your check.". I said I do have an account with Huntington, but it normally takes a couple of days to clear, and I had a big purchase I planned on buying with cash today, so that's why I chose to come here. So, he then asks, why don't you do a mobile deposit with your bank? I told him, dude, how to check looks; the mobile device doesn't read the check well. At this point, I'm wondering why he's asking me 1000 questions about a simple check I'm trying to cash. Again, I have used this place hundreds of times, and they or I have never had an issue with checks. He then began to insinuate that maybe the check wasn't real, so I produced my state issued credentials and stated I was not a fraud, nor would I ever attempt anything like that. By the way, the check title clearly says, "State of Indiana.". A couple of seconds go by, and the male walks over to what I'm assuming would be the shift supervisor. She walks over to the window and states, Sir, your check is good; we just can't cash it because you signed it and took photos of it here. WHAT!!!!! I sign my checks all the time and took a photo to show your rep why I didn't do a mobile deposit since he asked me. By this time, two other guys had entered PLS and cashed their checks in seconds. I have never been to an establishment with so many rude and unambitious people in my life. For him to look at my check and immediately say we can't cash your check is insane. He didn't look at my ID; he didn't run the check on the computer; he didn't do anything. If this is what you stand for as a company, you should be ashamed. I look forward to hearing back from someone in the corporate office. - Go elsewhere to cash your checks so unprofessional. read more

On a Friday had to go to 2 different places both wasn't compatible to get check cashed until referred to go to PLS everything went smoothly and Holly was great at assisting especially with customer service and support with information on prepaid carts. read more

If I could give this a "0" star rating, I would. I've never used this company nor would I ever!! I found a card and called the number to try to help the person get it back. I didn't ask for their personal information but the man in the phone said " if you want to be courteous and drop it off at one of our locations." Seriously, he couldn't her a let her know I found her card. I'm not driving across the city to drop it off. If you were a good business, wouldn't you call them and let them know where their card is located?? Their customer service sucks!! read more
