By far our favorite on the island! This was our first time going to Plum Point but we will be back! The price, the service, and food were all excellent! We've had a lot of great seafood but never had fresh crab in a homemade pretzel with house made beer cheese. Terrific!!! The shrimp were large seasoned well with house made cocktail sauce. My daughter loved the Philly couldn't get a pic before she devoured it. It was also topped with the beer cheese, why no one else has thought of that is beyond me? All were served with house made chips! Try this place out! We have always been Howard fans, not now too expensive for little food- we found our go to! read more

So this joint is collocated with 1718 Brewery. You walk in, head to the left and place your order at the counter. Friendly staff will give you a buzz plate that will go off when your food is ready for you to pick up. Inside or patio seating. The crab-stuffed pretzel is huge and suitable for sharing. Ours was not quite hot enough for our liking. The fried cheese curds are perfect! We chose to sit at the bar and got brewery creations that were fantastic! Overall, a cool brew house with a bar-food attachment. It just sort of "works." Definitely recommended and we visited it twice during our week on the island. read more

This was a fantastic find, and our favorite spot from our whole vacation. The vibe here is laid back, good food + brewery with a huge, creative beer selection. We each tried several sliders, which were all incredible, particularly the shredded chicken with beer cheese. The crab stuffed pretzel was huge, and not stuffed with filler. And the brewery had an excellent beer selection. We were staying on Hatteras, and the hour long ferry ride was well worth it. They opened the bay doors and let the night air in, and delicious food, great beer, and a laid back atmosphere made for and it was an amazing, relaxing evening. We're from Richmond, and are used to delicious food and great beer. This spot would fit right in to that scene. A rare find. We'll be back. read more

Best burger on the island. The 1/2 pound was perfectly cooked and the caramelized onions were fantastic. The house salad was incredible. It's basically lettuce with figs and a balsamic vinaigrette. Really awesome. The homemade chips are darn good too. So why the downgrade? The girl behind the register apparently wants to be anywhere else but at work. I am the only person in line and she tells me she will be right with me and walks away for 5 minutes. She putters around and finally puts chips on an order (without gloves - just her hand ) and eventually gets back to take my order. read more

If I could give Plum Pointe six stars, I would. The brewery opening was exciting enough since I've been coming for 20+ years, but the addition of the kitchen was even better! I never thought I'd be raving about a pretzel, but boy howdy do you need to get one if you go! The prices may be a little daunting at first, but you're paying for incredible quality and even more incredible flavor. I saw some folks complaining about flies and wanted to make a note that part of the great atmosphere of 1718/Plum Pointe is its outdoor seating area and the open concept between it and the inside. Of course you're going to have a few flies when you're basically outdoors, but they're nothing to comment on (as far as I've seen in all my visits). The beauty of the brewery is how open and chill it feels. I've had the pretzels, sliders, fresh fish, homemade chips, wings, and god knows what else and I have never been disappointed. Even when the flavors weren't quite what I personally enjoy, I could still see the quality and care of ingredients and assembly and others in my family or those visiting enjoyed it for me. Overall, I will always highly recommend it. It can be a tiny bit jarring since it's within the brewery and the counter isn't glaringly obvious, but it's more than worth the stop. I only wish I could make it there more often! read more

This place is awesome. Great homemade tasting island bar food!!! We had the stuffed crab pretzel (amazing) and the Philly cheesesteak (great). I would definitely grab a bite here with a brew from 1718. The crab pretzel is good for 2-4 people depending on how hungry you are and was amazing by any standard. The cheesesteak used their beer cheese and cake with these awesome russet potato chips. Our friends got the chicken tenders and red drum fish. Outdoor seating was plenty spaced apart and plenty of hand sanitizer stations were spread around. Everything looked and tasted like you might make it at home, but here I am drinking a real solid beer on an island. Would definitely come again if I was on Ocracoke and wanted good hangs. read more

We really want to like this place, but they desperately need more staff and a better kitchen/carryout system. Our experience: We called ahead for carryout and ended up waiting 25 minutes standing in line because the woman running the register stepped away to (ostensibly) help the kitchen. I could see our food sitting in the back, in Styrofoam to-go containers, but no one called for us or came to the register that entire time. So we ended up paying nearly $50 for cold, soggy fish tacos and a cold, chewy pretzel. Just a miserable, frustrating experience all around. I'll happily drink the 1718 beer, but that was my last time trying to eat there. read more

Outstanding food and service! We visited twice while on the island over a 3 day period. This place is located within the 1718 Brewery and pairs perfectly with the tasty beers. For lunch one day we ordered the drunken chicken nachos. By far the best chicken nachos we've ever had. It was simple, not crazy messy like nachos can be sometimes, and was really delicious. The lady who seemed to be running the show was super friendly and invited us back for Thursday "steak night". We went back the next day and got 16oz sirloin, mixed veggies, and a baked potato. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and tasted so good. And when you pair these meals with the 1718 brews, you can't go wrong. Next time we're on Ocracoke, we'll definitely be back. We shared the Drunken Chicken Nachos. My husband got a Philly Cheese Steak and said it was great. It was good quality meat and it wasn't soggy. I got three sliders: beef slider with blue cheese and caramelized onions on brioche bun, Hawaiian slider with cheddar cheese and pineapple red pepper chutney on brioche bun, and Chicken slider beer-braised chicken with 1718 beer with house made beer cheese and fried chicken skins on pretzel roll. First time to eat here. By golf cart we got there at 11am, being they were not open yet we killed sometime riding around on the golf cart .. got back about quarter after 12 and the place was packed. Waited in the food line maybe 15 minutes and then another 15 plus minutes to get our food. I know things are slower because everyone's short handed. The staff was great under circumstances out of their control! First off, there are a lot of flies inside the restaurant. We were contstantly swatting them off ourselves, our food, and we were watching them land and crawl on other people and on food in the kitchen. Second, we literally watched one of the wait staff bus a table, bring the leftover food to the back of kitchen, and BEGAN EATING IT. We ordered the "Thai" style wings, 1/2 dozen oysters, and a beer. The wings were dry and flavored with what we can only assume was soy sauce. It really needed some brown sugar, lime juice, and Thai chili's to make it actually have the sweet, salty, sour, spicy flavors Thai dishes are famous for. It also came with a green papaya salad, which was inedible. I didn't know green papaya could even have the texture of limp, soggy, cucumbers, since they are supposed to have a crunch. It had virtually no flavor and really needed fish sauce, lime juice, shrimp paste, and Thai chili's. Please do not affliate this dish with Thai cuisine because it is nothing compared to it. Lastly, the kitchen was chaotic. While standing to place my order, there were 5 young children fighting in the kitchen. As the waitstaff began piling about 6 trays of food on her arm to serve, one of the children knocked several trays of food out of her arm and onto the floor. Why are there children running around in the kitchen when people are working?? Never coming back. read more

This place is awesome! We enjoy 1718 Brewery and always pleased to eat some food from PPK! We had the chicken nachos and sliders , blue burger, barbecue and chicken with homemade chips. I think the chips for the nachos are made there too. The nachos were overwhelming and I never saw my husband full !!! He had the blue burger and said it was awesome and the barbecue too. I had the chicken slider and it was excellent! I had to ask for him to move the nachos closer to him because they were addicting and I couldn't eat another bite!! Very fresh and great people as well. Come for the beer but don't stay for the food. Chicken nachos were flavorless and made with unseasoned chicken thighs The chicken-philly was the same flavorless thighs covered with some runny 'beer cheese' (tasted more like some version of Alfredo sauce). The bread was so soggy with the watered down sauce that it was impossible to pick up and if you want peppers, onions, and mushrooms on your philly... that'll cost you extra. The chips were a good concept and looked ok but were so chewy, no crunch at all. Every beer we tried was excellent, but do yourself a favor and eat before you come. read more

We just left here and I have no idea why there are so many negative reviews. Everything we had was amazing and we came with a group of 9. The tuna sliders were cooked perfectly with a large portion of tuna and a delicious spicy mango salsa. I wasn't sure about the crab stuffed pretzel- but was so glad we ordered it. The trigger was pretty good. The two guys manning the counter were friendly & they did get the food out quick but I expected it to be fast: it was 8:20 & the place was practically empty. What a great addition to Ocracoke! Plum Pointe Kitchen is the food portion of 1718 Brewing (which has some terrific beers) and serve some great sliders, oysters and Asian inspired wings. The pretzel with beer cheese is off the hook awesome. If you come to visit Ocracoke, I would highly recommend Plum Pointe for some of the freshest and most innovative food. You do have to order at the counter and fetch your food when it's ready, but who cares when it this tasty. Plus the atmosphere in 1718 is very cool and the people are very nice. read more

Fish tacos in hard shells! Odd but doable, lacking sauce and flavor. Grilled fish was poorly cooked- cold and barley cooked in middle.

Blackened shrimp tacos were amazing. Super relaxing and cool atmosphere. Very nice staff!
