    Crab-stuffed pretzel.

So this joint is collocated with 1718 Brewery. You walk in, head to the left and place your order at the counter. Friendly staff will give you a buzz plate that will go off when your food is ready for you to pick up. Inside or patio seating. The crab-stuffed pretzel is huge and suitable for sharing. Ours was not quite hot enough for our liking. The fried cheese curds are perfect! We chose to sit at the bar and got brewery creations that were fantastic! Overall, a cool brew house with a bar-food attachment. It just sort of "works." Definitely recommended and we visited it twice during our week on the island.

Crab stuffed pretzel with beer cheese sauce, and 3 sliders with house made chips. Divine!

This was a fantastic find, and our favorite spot from our whole vacation. The vibe here is laid back, good food + brewery with a huge, creative beer selection. We each tried several sliders, which were all incredible, particularly the shredded chicken with beer cheese. The crab stuffed pretzel was huge, and not stuffed with filler. And the brewery had an excellent beer selection. We were staying on Hatteras, and the hour long ferry ride was well worth it. They opened the bay doors and let the night air in, and delicious food, great beer, and a laid back atmosphere made for and it was an amazing, relaxing evening. We're from Richmond, and are used to delicious food and great beer. This spot would fit right in to that scene. A rare find. We'll be back.

Delicious food. Caring attentive servers. Insanely delicious food. And the 1718 Brewery makes the whole experience delightful. Highly recommended! We love sitting outside on the upstairs porc

This place is awesome. Great homemade tasting island bar food!!! We had the stuffed crab pretzel (amazing) and the Philly cheesesteak (great). I would definitely grab a bite here with a brew from 1718. The crab pretzel is good for 2-4 people depending on how hungry you are and was amazing by any standard. The cheesesteak used their beer cheese and cake with these awesome russet potato chips. Our friends got the chicken tenders and red drum fish. Outdoor seating was plenty spaced apart and plenty of hand sanitizer stations were spread around. Everything looked and tasted like you might make it at home, but here I am drinking a real solid beer on an island. Would definitely come again if I was on Ocracoke and wanted good hangs.

Went to try beer at 1718 brewery housed in same building as Plum Pointe. Got the crab stuffed pretzel, husband got the burger topped with pulled pork, bacon and onions, with side of fresh made potato chips. Excellent taste of everything!

It was so good I ate it all (except for the chips) before I could get a picture. Not that the chips weren't good too. They were very good, but it was a lot of food so I couldn't quite eat all of it. We shared the Drunken Chicken Nachos. My husband got a Philly Cheese Steak and said it was great. It was good quality meat and it wasn't soggy. I got three sliders: beef slider with blue cheese and caramelized onions on brioche bun, Hawaiian slider with cheddar cheese and pineapple red pepper chutney on brioche bun, and Chicken slider beer-braised chicken with 1718 beer with house made beer cheese and fried chicken skins on pretzel roll. Everything was fantastic!

Our food! Fish taco and chicken Philly

First time to eat here. By golf cart we got there at 11am, being they were not open yet we killed sometime riding around on the golf cart .. got back about quarter after 12 and the place was packed. Waited in the food line maybe 15 minutes and then another 15 plus minutes to get our food. I know things are slower because everyone's short handed. The staff was great under circumstances out of their control! We have been on the island before But never ate at this particular restaurant would we recommend it " yes " I would! they're very popular so plan your day accordingly

Crab stuffed jumbo pretzel was amazing! Also left a review for 1718 Brewing - check out why it's 4 stars there.

We came early for apps and drinks and were considering if we wanted to stay for our dinner meal too since the menu looked fantastic (and the ragu was eyeing me down!). It was surprisingly incredibly quiet with only a few of the porch tables taken, so we didn't feel like we were holding anyone up since it was quiet and early. While we were deciding on dinner, the waitress approached us and asked if we made our minds up. When saying we needed a minute but wanted to start with rolls and cocktails, she said, "well can I take your menus then? Or one?" Which felt odd given there weren't many people there at all and we still wanted to decide what apps a dinner to order. Otherwise, she hadn't checked back on us for another 30 minutes after ordering drinks and bread to start, so feeling like a nuisance, and we decided not to get dinner here anymore and we'd go elsewhere. Then, trying to wave the waitress down felt impossible almost as though she was avoiding our table, we had to ask another server for her to grab our check. Otherwise, the outside porch was perfect and shady with fans and airflow for a hot summer day. Very homey! The house made bread was absolutely fantastic. The French 75 was heavy handed on the gin, which can be both good and bad depending how you look at it! Worth the money for us!

I highly recommend Dajio Restaurant. The meal was excellent. I had the blackened ahi on a salad. It was fresh and perfectly cooked. There's a decent but minimal selection of wines by the glass, and I went with a Sauvignon Blanc that paired perfectly. Most of the wines have good ratings by the major wine reviewers. Service was outstanding. The server had that classic beach-town ease (local or seasonal) but really knew the menu and did a great job. At one point, a woman who appeared to be management stopped by the table to check in. When she asked how things were, my answer was simple: "Incredible." The atmosphere is exactly right, relaxed but still polished, with just the right amount of energy without feeling crowded or chaotic. That balance is harder to get right than people think, and they've nailed it. I don't hand out compliments lightly, but this place delivers. Simple, fresh food, executed properly. No gimmicks, no shortcuts. This is absolutely a place you should try if you're in Ocracoke. I'll be back.

One half feels historic and the other half feels modern with the artwork, mirrors, and finishes. The lighting is dim but you can still read the menu. It wasn't busy while I was there but quiet enough I couldn't hear other conversations. Initially the host wanted to seat me at the bar but when I declined, gave me a seat near the open kitchen. My waitress was friendly and helped me select the strawberry blonde to go with the strawberry salad. This was smaller than expected and just one or two strawberries. There was a little too much dressing for my taste as I forgot to order it on the side. I did like how the flavors came together. I also had the chocolate torte which was rich and decadent. I left here a little squeamish from what I witnessed. After all, I was seated at a booth table with a full view of the open kitchen. I noticed the food runner repeatedly touching his nose then the plates of food. I watched him reset a table and was touching the silverware by the tines, the part that goes in your mouth, rather than the handles. I'm not sure if the hands had been washed when he added by hand garnish to my dessert. I immediately removed the garnish but should have returned the dish to get it remade. Also, a table of six was seated then left a few minutes later and the glasses and silverware were not replaced while I was there, leaving me to assume they were not replaced for the next guests. I also noticed the restaurant had many cameras, so these hygiene lapses were likely recorded. For an upscale spot, these hygiene issues were disappointing. I truly enjoyed the flavors and the atmosphere, and I would be happy to return in the future if I could be confident that basic hygiene and service protocols were being strictly followed. I'd particularly love to come back and try the strawberry cake next time.

Back Again -- and Still Blown Away!…read more Stopped in last night with five other guys as we made our way up "the ditch" to Falmouth, MA -- and once again, Spoon River delivered the unexpected magic that only Theresa and her team can provide in this hidden gem of a town. From the second we walked in, the vibe was warm and welcoming. Theresa greeted us like long-lost friends (with a hug on the way out too -- who does that anymore??), and our server Sam was spot-on: attentive, relaxed, and knew the menu like a pro. Now, the food. Oh man, the food. Fried Green Tomatoes: Showstopper. Perfectly crisp, full of flavor, and just the right tangy punch to kick things off. Main courses -- each one got rave reviews from our crew: * Pork Chop (2 of us): Juicy, thick, and packed with flavor. Honestly, I had ribeye envy once I tasted it! * Seared Ahi (2 of us): Beautifully done, fresh and flavorful with a gentle sear. * Filet: Cooked perfectly. Nothing else to say -- it just melted. * Ribeye (mine): Medium rare, spot-on, but yeah, I'll admit it... I'd order the pork chop next time We pulled two great bottles of wine from their Wine Room (so reasonable!) and ended with some bonus sips -- Blanton's bourbon, which took the evening to the next level. And the desserts? - Chocolate Brownie with Ice Cream: Rich, gooey, just what we wanted. - Cinnamon-Forward Carrot Cake: Moist, spicy-sweet, and totally worth saving room for. The whole experience felt like something you'd find in a big city -- only here, it's surrounded by local art, genuine hospitality, and a true sense of care. Final word? If you're anywhere near Belhaven, detour here. If you're coming up the ICW, make this your stop. And if you're lucky enough to chat with Theresa -- tell her we said hi, and we'll be back. Because we will. Craving Pizza on the Island? Sorella's is a Must-Try!…read more While visiting the island, I found myself in the mood for some good pizza, so I decided to check out Sorella's for dinner--and I'm so glad I did! With its reputation for hearty, flavor-packed dishes, it was the perfect spot to satisfy my cravings. What We Ordered: * BBQ Pizza * Big Daddy Pizza * Stromboli BBQ PIZZA This pizza was a savory-sweet masterpiece! The olive oil base paired beautifully with the barbecue chicken, caramelized onions, and smoky bacon. The addition of jalapeños brought the perfect kick, while the cheddar and mozzarella created a rich, melty layer of cheesy goodness. Topped with a barbecue swirl, every bite was packed with bold flavors that balanced sweetness and spice perfectly. It was a creative twist on classic pizza flavors, and it didn't disappoint. BIG DADDY PIZZA If you're a fan of the classics, this one's for you. The Big Daddy Pizza was piled high with red sauce, beef, sausage, pepperoni, green peppers, red onions, mushrooms, and mozzarella cheese. Each ingredient brought something special to the table: the meats were perfectly seasoned, the vegetables added a satisfying crunch, and the mozzarella held it all together with a gooey, cheesy blanket. This pizza is a hearty, crowd-pleasing option for anyone who loves a fully loaded slice. STROMBOLI This was the showstopper for me! Stuffed with red sauce, pepperoni, sausage, green peppers, red onions, mushrooms, and mozzarella, the Stromboli was simply heavenly. The crust was golden and perfectly baked, with just the right balance of crispness and chewiness. The filling was indulgent, packed with meat and cheese, making it a dream for any meat lover. Every bite felt comforting and decadent--a must-try if you visit Sorella's. We opted for takeout and enjoyed our meal during a cozy movie night at our rental. The pizzas and Stromboli held up beautifully, still warm and fresh when we dug in. Sorella's proved to be the perfect blend of convenience and quality for a relaxed evening in. Sorella's nailed it on every level--flavor, portion sizes, and variety. Whether you're in the mood for a creative take on pizza like the BBQ Pizza, a classic loaded option like the Big Daddy, or the indulgent Stromboli, you're bound to find something to love here.
