The best pizza on the island, hands down. Sorellas is my go-to if I don't want to cook, and I've never been disappointed. Their BBQ chicken pizza is delicious and their green head pizza is just ~ chef kiss ~. Their crust is always deliciously crispy and I've never had their pizza feel too greasy or heavy. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because of the wait on the phone -- now, I honestly give it 4.5 if I could because personally I don't really care about having to call a lot but I know some folks just don't like or have that commitment. I think my record is calling 26 times (in peak season, so July) but when I do get through they're always quick to take the order. It's easy to pick up (or deliver) too. read more

The food is delicious. Mouth is watering just thinking back to it! We ordered a fat boy pizza. Lots of meat toppings! The pizza crust is thick and delicious. Very authentic! We split the pizza between three pizza and it was just enough. We also split a salad between two of us. The salad was amazing. Very fresh and pretty big! The restaurant is small though. I can't see more then 20 people being served inside. While we were sitting down to eat there were a handful of people who looked at the menu and then got up and left. They didn't have any pasta the day that we went in so I'm not sure how the menu really works. We went in August so it's probably dependent on the season. I noticed they deliver though! We ate here twice. The first time we had the large Fatboy pizza. It was enough for two full meals for my wife and me! I judge a pizza by the crust, and this crust was so good I enjoyed it all to the end. The second visit we ordered the Stromboli. For $13 I could not believe the size! It is huge! Very slow paced to go. If they say 39 they mean 1.5 hours. If your white and waiting they will take walk ups and have it ready before you leave while waiting for your order. The food is good, but the service is terrible. We had the stromboli, the calzone and the Hawaiian pizza. Each dish was better than the other. The prices were very good, too. However, it is the bad, bad, bad service that hurts this restaurant. That's why I give it two stars only. We had to wait for 50 minutes, and the waitress wasn't very nice. We had to ask for napkins and forks. We were not allowed to sit inside because the restaurant was "closed" even though the order was placed before closing and there were people still having lunch. It is totally possible that the best pizza in North Carolina is 20 miles off-shore. If you are on Ocracoke -- the Key West of North Carolina -- go straight to Sorellas. The Margarita Pizza has fresh garlic and a deep layer of cheese. So good that I returned to the restaurant the next day to compliment them on the quality. read more
