They were able to fit me in for a last minute dress shopping appointment. While I tried on many dresses, they helped me find one that was perfect!! They never made me feel pressured to buy or rushed (as many other bridal boutiques had). They helped me with my measurements and any anticipated weight fluctuations because my wedding was still over a year away. The staff was attentive and the appointment was on time. We were allowed to all look at the dresses and pull a few. She also pulled several dresses that were interesting. This was the first appointment so it was okay to have some different styles. They really didn't seem to have a lot of dresses to choose from. The other studio was directly behind with no wall separation so that was a little weird. Another bride was trying on dresses and we could see her in the mirror and hear everything that they were saying. Beautiful setting but a little strange. read more

I can't recommend this place enough. I'm a size 16-18 and I was really worried about being able to find sample dresses in my size. Some dresses were a bit small but they used clips to hold the dress together if the zipper wouldn't go all the way up and they helped me in and out of dresses. I probably tried on 10-12 dresses. Some of them had lots of buttons and lace ups, but they made quick work of it, and I was in and out of the dress in minutes. They also worked within my budget and didn't try to push anything more expensive on me. They also kept cost of alterations in mind and steered me away from a few dresses that would be difficult/expensive to alter. They do a lot to help you choose. I'm so indecisive, but they have a "top 3" policy and if you pick 3 dresses that you like, you have to eliminate one of them if you find another one you like. And they make the final choice absolutely yours. They kick your party out of the store and let you make your own decision on which one you'll take home. They make you feel good about your choice and totally gas you up. I felt beautiful and was really happy about the choice I made. They offer payment plans and make recommendations for seamstresses in town to do alterations. I didn't expect to leave with a dress today, but it was so beautiful, how could I not? This was the best store I could have picked to go to. I would recommend to any bride-to-be. read more

Had a fantastic experience at Plume yesterday shopping for my daughter's wedding dress. The girls were incredibly helpful - effecient at using clips to "alter" the dress so we could see what it would look like after actual alterations. They really made the time fun and low stress. They responded quickly as my daughter started narrowing down what she liked and provided additional dresses that she initially hadn't been drawn to. Once my daughter had found the one she was confident in they added a veil and a few hair pieces. I loved that they gave her options at that point - go ahead and make a deposit, or go have dinner and look at all the photos, or even to go home and sleep on it. I appreciated that they didn't try to complete the sale as she was still a bit hesitent. Before we left the shop she had decided she wanted to move forward and she is quite excited about her dress (that is actually not what she had originally thought she had wanted). Plume was a dream come true for someone like me: a non-traditional, quirky bridge on a strict budget. I made an appointment during the sample sale and lucked out in finding just the perfect dress at the right price (I didn't know it was possible to find something in the $600 range!). After trying on dresses in Chicago at BHLDN and another boutique, I was beginning to think I wouldn't be able to find anything affordable, or unusual enough. When I walked in, McKenzie was very friendly and seemed to "get me" right away. She thought of the perfect dress for me right off the bat, but had me try a few others first just to be sure. I was able to walk out of the store dress in hand, no alterations needed (it was a tea-length Essense of Australia). My experience was nothing short of amazing!! McKenzie is awesome. Very professional and knowledgeable. She did a great job getting to know me and about our wedding. She helped pick out different style of dresses for me to try on. Even after deciding what style dress I liked, she went and grabbed some more that she thought I would like. She was very good at fitting the dress, so that I knew what it would actually look like in my size. She also gave me great ideas for jewelry and shoes that would compliment my dress. Atrocious Service The woman in the store (I'm assuming the owner) would not even get up from her desk to introduce herself or welcome us to the store even though we were the only customers there at the time. As I explained I was hoping to explore a few different styles in order to choose the best dress for my venue, she rudely interrupted me to ask about my price range after looking me up and down. Evidently my attire and budget were not up to her standards because she hastily dismissed me and with a flip of the hand sent me to paw over a rack of sale gowns. Due to Plume's abhorrent lack of service, or common courtesy for that matter, I took my business elsewhere and was pleased to purchase a gown that was not, in fact, from the clearance rack. If you wish to be treated with respect as a valued customer instead of judged on your apparent purchasing power, stay away from Plume. read more

I had a wonderful experience at Plume Bridal this weekend! Mckenzie was truly a pleasure to work with, she was helpful in all the right ways and really listened to what I wanted and helped me find it in her store. She was even willing to purchase the dress I knew I already liked online for me, the only reason I didn't do that was because I'm from California and was visiting my mom in Montana, and already found the store in California that had the dress (but wanted to make sure I had the chance to keep looking/try on dresses with my mom). I have been to a total of 6 bridal stores and now that I am done trying on dresses, I can honestly say my favorite experience was a Plume. After a disappointing experience at home, I called her shop and immediately felt like I was talking to a long lost friend because she was so welcoming and forthcoming to answer any questions I asked. Her shop is quiet and not overwhelming. McKenzie has an ability to read her clients, gauge what they like, and find the dress that was meant just for them! I am so excited for my upcoming wedding in January in Portland, Oregon! Leigh, of Plume Bridal, added to that excitement when I walked in her store and found the perfect dress! I hadn't shopped for my dress at all when I walked into her store and although I'm from Portland and know there are many wonderful stores at home, I knew what I found in her shop was perfect for our wedding occasion. I was so discouraged when I left my bridal appointment at Plume. I showed up with time to spare before my appointment, McKenzie said to go through and pull some dresses that I liked. I ended up having to wait for a mother and her two daughters playing dress up for prom, they ran 15-20 minutes into my appointment. The changing room isn't truly a room, I felt exposed. My consultant seemed not to care about helping me to find my perfect wedding dress, she seemed very spacey and not present. I also feel as though she was more concerned about selling her sashes as I believe she makes them. I didn't feel special, I felt like an inconvenience. Maybe having McKenzie as my consultant would've made for a more enjoyable experience. I found my dress the next day at another bridal shop in town. read more

I went here last summer with my sister to find a dress for my wedding. I got married young (20). They didn't believe me I was getting married! They said I was to young and I was just wanting to try on dresses for fun. They made me leave the store because I was wasting their time! I was in tears I couldn't even say anything.
