Great mid-sized park on the Eastside of West Hollywood. The park runs vertical on Vista Street from Santa Monica Blvd; up North to Fountain Avenue. Plummer Park has plenty of open green space with picnic tables throughout for dining or playing board games. Some of the amenities are Tennis Courts with an on-site Tennis Center, several Basketball Courts, a Community Center with an on-site staff, and Fiesta Hall, which is a small auditorium. The park is currently under renovation while adding Pickleball Courts. I feel sorry for the neighbors across the street that have to listen to the annoying sounds of pickleball. There's updated lighting, signage, and furniture throughout the park. At the time of this review, I'm not sure what other renovations are planned. Every Monday there is an open-air Farmers Market. There are about 30 vendors and it's a bit on the pricey side. This market definitely needs a refresh; many of the same farmers/vendors for years. There is plenty of free parking on both ends of the park. The City of West Hollywood does a good job of keeping the park clean and safe. You'll usually see Security Ambassadors in and around the park all day. Plummer Park is definitely family and dog friendly. Blessed to have this jewel close to my home. read more

We usually play tennis 9-10 pm weekdays, The courts are kept well and clean, they for sure need more lighting in the parking area specially with all the homeless arounds. But all in all, it's a nice park with a friendly crowd. read more

BIG WILL: EXCEPTIONAL PLUMMER PARK PORTER I've been visiting Plummer Park for decades. Initially, it was to play basketball. As the years wore on, i frequented it to play and watch tennis, play ping pong, shop at the farmers' market and observe pickleball matches to see what appeals to so many about this "new" sport friendly to all-comers. Big Will, a DMS Porter, has without exception kept the Park clean, including the all-important restrooms which he leaves spotless. Big Will is a huge Dodgers fan. If you see him, ask him to show you the big tatoo that runs the length of his forearm. Plummer Park is lucky to have Big Will on its team! read more

Go play Plummer Park Ping Pong with Peter its free every Saturday. Its the best. I give this park a solid 5 out of 7. But I agree with the guy that said there's too much dog poop here. Front desk staff should really pick that up themselves. I can't wait for that dog park to finally open. P.S. don't use the outdoor bathrooms. read more

I go here on Wednesdays for dancing. Parking is plentiful, security is tight, and the place is clean and easily accessible. It is close to several choices of good food that are within walking distance, so you cannot go wrong here. Enjoy! read more

Do not come here to play tennis. Terrible experience. We showed up to find our assigned court taken, and the only available court was covered in balls with no way to use it properly. A staff member then approached us to say we couldn't use more than 6 balls while we were stuck dealing with a court full of them and nowhere else to go. On top of that, another player on court 3 was rude and demanded we walk all the way around them just to reach our court. Zero accountability from staff, zero organization. And the classes are a complete mess poorly run and not worth your time or money. read more

My favorite local park. This is usually where I take my friend's dog when I'm sitting for her. He loves walking around here where there's a lot of shade and he bumps into a bunch of his neighborhood friends. This is also where I drop off my ballot on voting day. Another park we like to come to once a month. Plummer Park is a nice community park here in West Hollywood. Pet friendly and child friendly. Very nice place to be without being boggled by homeless, or trouble makers. Its located in a nice area too. Very clean and nature looking. I recommend visiting here if you are in the area. read more

I don't think I've ever written a review for a park before, but it was that good! I came here with my baby and there are so many people of different languages and ages everywhere! The park is absolutely huge, with parking and public restrooms to boot! I loved how much grass there was to lay out, and the actual playground area itself is huge as well. Tennacity is horrible . Stringers are terrible. Private company in a public park. Holes in the court for months . Tennis net too low and again months go by. I see them giving 175.00 lessons on a net thats too low.Guy named Chris lives there and is always causing trouble and they do nothing. Ive been assaulted there no proper action taken.The guy still plays there. Owners grew up on public courts and they have taken this away from the tax payers. Had a guy swing a racket at my face no action from Tennacity. They just made courts 6 and 7 pickleball only . There's 2 free courts available for booking m-f but there's always the same guys on them . They have multiple accounts and they just book all the time they want . Tennacity does nothing about it . They are there just to try to make money only . It's just gotten worse and worse . Players that used to love to play there no longer do . Oh did I forget the blasting music from live ball and pickleball .wtf really? Yeah I want to listen to 80's sound track while hitting or whatever they come up with. read more

I say if you are looking for a place to go, kill some time, and be distracted with some art in different media - this event was one to attend. It was free and A LOT to browse. Plus the separate building had a Queer-Con convention. I am not the biggest comicphile but I had a blast seeing the costumes and all the comics. Ambiance: 5/5 It was at a community center and the conference rooms made it easy to browse. The space isn't super big but spacious enough to feel welcomed and not crowded even with the tables that were laid out. There is a park next to the center which is perfect if one wants to take a break or a stroll during any of the events hosted at the center. Operations: 4/5 The event utilized two buildings and even the outdoor space. It felt organized and spacious - there was a clear flow to the fair. The tables were placed just perfect to allow plenty of space for groups to pass and interact with the vendors. The second building was close enough so it wasn't a hassle to bop around. Parking: 2/5 This was definitely the thorn of the event. The parking is very limited and not friendly unless you have a compact car. Some spaces are metered around the venue but WeHo isn't the friendliest with public parking. I was nervous my car would be scratched or hit ... Recommendations: I would have better signage so people knew where the event was for the Q-Con and even the time for all the programming that was happening. I saw it in my deep dive for pride events but it wasn't really advertised with WeHo pride or any of the neighboring prides. read more

Intimate yet spacious park in West Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. It's definitely not a park you'd spot or even notice right away on a map or passing by depending on in you're coming from Fountain Ave or Santa Monica Blvd like I did this past weekend. They have tons a shade, parking and places to spread out. Definitely more narrow than wide in turns of park life. The have a community center for events and activities and tons of equipment including a playground for kids and the kids in adults, basketball and tennis courts, not to mention lots of places to sit and walk and enjoy the scenery. Someone mentioned they did/do/hopefully will do again movies in the park and this is true as we were suppose to go here two summer ago for a showing. This is definitely a less foot traffic heavy park, but a local favorite to many. The park is pretty well up kept however might of suffered in a few small areas during last years stay at home mandates. Plummer Park is definitely a must whether a walkable local, an over the hill one like myself or a visitor. Walk the dog, walk with company or just walk and enjoy yourself. read more

Plummer park has been my childhood place Since I grew up in West Hollywood and very little at the time where I, would always go on the playground by going on the slides, doing some monkey bars, play on the sand, and Last but not least go on the swings which was my favorite thing to do in the park most of the time. The reason I put Two stars is because many decades ago there have been many Haikas which refers to people mostly elderly ones from Soviet union or Russia that usually sit on the tables where chess games are usually are where they would talk behind people's backs, and even sticking their noise into people's business's where it would feel uncomfortable to be around, and watch them stare back at you and not mind their own business at all. Plummer Park is a great spot for pickleball. I like that they have a mix of paid reservations and open play opportunities. The parking is ample, and the rest of the park is cute, albeit tiny. Still, it's my go to for pickleball or the occasional game of tennis. read more

Large and gorgeous park. We have been skating in the basketball courts since they are closed right now and it's perfect! They have a lot of playgrounds (closed because of covid at the moment) and a lot of tennis courts that actually are open! Plenty of green grass to work out or just hang out in. The dog owners have RUINED this tiny park. There are smears of poop allll over the grass (which is now in patches). So many of the old timers that play chess are very upset about it. It smells terrible. No place for the once thriving children to play as the millions of microns of bacteria in all the feces remains on the ground and can easily make children sick. Urine kills plants and trees. But do the dog owners care? Nope. They need to enforce dog leash laws and create a dog only zone. just awful. read more

I saw many people picnicking and playing tennis here. There is a large outdoor courtyard meeting area that is closed off to public. There are homeless living in their cars parked in the lot. Not a clean place. On one side of the street there is lots of trash, plastic bags, cans, etc. read more

This WAS once a lovely park. But covid has turned it into a prison yard. I am Outraged by the overzealous and rude SECURITY GUARD on Christmas weekend, who was harassing families non stop. The playground for babies/little ones is the only fully fenced and enclosed space for children at the park. It is leased out by the preschool, but it's an open secret that you can use it. This HORRIBLE man kept demanding families leaves in the most unfriendly manner. Not only was it Christmas but if he was so concerned with doing his job, then the vagrant with his bum hanging out who was rolling around on the grass out of his mind, might have been a good place to start. But it's much easier to harass children and their parents, than actually do any real security work. Are these SG actually here to keep the families who use this park safe? Apparently not! And while I am pointing out their ridiculous hypocrisy... Pick up some damn rubbish!!! I have seen a mother complain about the state of the rubbish and a security guard cover it over with bark, with his foot, rather than pick it up. LAZY overpaid and useless. This park feels like the myth of the American dream is real. It's really a beautiful sight to behold on a late afternoon when it's filled to the brim with people from all walks of life (shoutouts especially to the old Russian men who are almost always packed 5-6 at a table playing chess). Incredibly well maintained, fabulous amenities (free tennis courts, always packed, 2 basketball courts, playgrounds, tons of tables/benches, lovely fields of grass, ample parking, plus some mysterious buildings that I'm excited to explore whenever they reopen post COVID). Plus it's in my backyard. Nice views of Runyon from the right spots. A little slice of heaven. If you're mad about paying california taxes take a stroll around Plummer and then head to like Iowa or some shit and tell me how you feel lol. read more

This is my neighborhood park and it's a decent spot. There is a good bit of parking, and that's nice. I've been to several meeting in a couple of the different facility buildings and they're adequate, if out-dated. There are tennis courts and a walking/running trail. Relatively clean. I feel perfectly safe walking around here during the day but don't think I'd do it at night... there are some hidden/darkish areas and even during the day there will inevitably be a few sketchy characters hanging around. Mostly, it's older Russian guys chatting and they will basically ignore you, though they do tend to grab the most desirable tables. It's a nice spot for a walk or if you want to look into hosting a meeting in WeHo. Nothing to get too excited about. Better than a lot of parks, not as good as some of the newer ones. While visiting Hollywood, my friend and I wanted a break from the traffic and crowds and decided to search for a park. I discovered that Plummer Park was only a couple of miles from our location on Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood and seemed to be the closest park. I had no idea what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised at this relatively normal park tucked into the city. The best part, in my opinion, is the three hours of free parking. Although I only spent an afternoon in Hollywood, it was long enough to learn that not much comes free in the area. There was plenty of parking on the Friday afternoon. We set our towels on a grassy area and settled in for a relaxing rest. There was a basketball game on the court nearby and a photo shoot taking place across the way (it is Hollywood, I suppose) but all in all, it was a nice spot to relax. read more

A lot of benches and picnic tables to sit, though occupied by elderly Russians playing chess. Bday parties for kids are common here. Great family-friendly park! I've come here with my daughter and boyfriend a few times and have had great experiences each time. It's always busy but it's great because my daughter always has someone to play with! The park is clean, the playground is as clean as an outdoor playground can be, and the facilities are clean as well. The park is small but still big enough for lots of families to enjoy. Lovely square of recreation and nature in the middle of otherwise urban West Hollywood. Great for some outdoor activities - has tennis courts, basketballcourts, playground, plenty of benches, and an open green area perfect for frisbee, throwing the football, or relaxing with a friend. Lots of attractive people come to put in werkkkk with trainers/workout classes as well, so sometimes you get a great view as well. The persons in the park are pretty entertaining as well. Part of the beauty of WeHo is the incredible diversity in people around, adn this is definitely reflected in the park goers. From families with young kids on the playground, to older couples getting in a walk, to 20s/30s friends getting some workouts in, there's always something going on and something to watch. While there are homeless around, they aren't usually disruptive and mostly look like they're just finding a place to rest. Has a parking lot as well as street parking for convenience. read more

Cute park , I say it's certainly good for kids/family. I usually stop by on Sundays w/ my friend and his daughter . I always see a bunch of kids running around and or kid b-day parties held by the playground area. There is also a tennis court area which seems to be popular. There are various picnic tables that are occupied all the time by chess players . Better luck next time, you can always sit on the grass if you bring a blanket . There is plenty of parking just make sure you follow the parking regulations and avoid getting a ticket. There are two different restroom locations. I suggest you go to the toilets inside the building next to the parking lot located in the back (next to the car-wash) . They are much more hygienic . Snacks, ice - cream, coffee and drinks are available for purchase inside the mini tennis building/front desk located next to the tennis courts. If you don't have kids, bring your furry friend. It's a calm park and a lovely way to spend a bit of your Sunday. read more

I figured I'd just find some interesting street corners and that would be all. Instead I found lots of green space and picnic tables. Plummer Park is ghetto! I have the right to say this, I've been a part of this park since I was 7 years old. 14 years total. This park is filled with old russian men playing cards, gambling, smoking, and cursing at one another in their native tongue. It's also filled with little children playing in the sandbox, riding down the slides, swinging on the swings, and climbing the mini obstacle course while their attentive parents, grandparents, and nannies keep an eye on them. There are also tennis courts and a basketball court where people frequently play. And there are many local events that take place here like Jewish Festivals, Russian parades, dance shows, choir performances, and plays that take place in Fiesta Hall. Also one great thing about this park is the Community Center, it was built around ten years ago, and it is filled with many rooms that frequently carry dance lessons, town hall meetings, and parties. You can find anything here from language classes, to yoga, to a plethora of dance classes... I guess you're still wondering why this park may be ghetto? Well, the people are the main reason. This park is inhabited by many russian fobs, young girls who think and dress like they are grownups, a few crazy homeless people, and druggies who try and stay on the DL. It's too funny. None of this stuff exists at Greystone park, Pan Pacific Park, San Vicente Park, or Kings Road Park. Plummer Park is one of a kind in that sense and on the surface if you were to first visit this park, I don't think you would see all of the obscurities of it, but since I've been connected to this place since I was 7, I know. You'd have to frequent this place in order to know of its "differences." This park is not bad though. During the daytime, it's very wholesome and very acceptable to bring children and families. I would recommend to stay away at night though. Plummer is just too funny. The dynamics and different groups of people that come here... well, very comical. read more

Plummer Park is not on my favorite list of parks, but it is the closest to my house and when you have a screaming toddler who wants to run around and burn energy well this place seems to be the right fit. I can only speak about the park itself, it is a good size park with a playground for older children and a separate playground for toddlers located next to the preschool. There is a basketball court right next to the playground and tennis courts that are on the other side of the park. There is a recreational center that is only for teenagers along with other halls and center's for meetings, dances and other personal events. When I first started coming here about a year ago, this place wasn't as bad as it is now. And by bad I mean, elderly men taking over picnic tables to play chess and domino's making people have their picnic in the grass. I don't mean to disrespect, just that at first it was maybe one table here and one table there, but now they are everywhere and to make matter's worse, they have also taken over the toddler area which is gated! So if there is any disrespect, it is coming from them. How are mother's and caretakers going to give their children their snacks or meals? Another thing that I'm not too thrilled about is how there are too many teenagers bombarding the playground area where children play. They jump and run around small kids almost knocking them down. They have a recreational center just for them, why don't they stay there? Now I look like a helicopter mom to my 21 month old son ;/ I guess I will have to come earlier when everyone is at school and grampa's are napping. read more

I can't believe how many people complain about the Russian men playing chess! Isn't it great? I mean, it gives this park character and better yet - as a women I feel safe. The park/jungle gym itself is impeccably cleaned and maintained. I actually work out here at 6am in the morning and see the maintenance team being very thorough in their cleaning every single day. There are a thousand tennis courts. I don't play tennis but I think I should take it up. There are community centers and basketball courts - if you're a community person you will find something at the park to do! Also on Monday mornings there is a farmers market. That's really my only complaint that it's on Mondays and not the weekend. People! Stop complaining about this park. It's great for everyone! read more
